  1. Hey guys, I really want to be part of this event! I have failed to gather a team, everyone else has real life things to do - I am a Ronin with many, many crews to choose from and decent amount of malifaux experience - other Ronins please let me know if you want to match up. Tourney organiser, with the event being 2 weeks away what is the deadline for all applicants and a team name? And if I fail to form a team by then, will we be formed up as teams? We all want to avoid bye rounds Thank you!
  2. From my experience, his use is to be the model that controls the centerline - flinging models out of objective range such as Turf War, and clearing enemy scheme markers like line in the sand etc. I always run him next to Myranda, both of them advancing towards the middle whilst staying in cover. Myranda stays close by to give him +ve defensive flips and to heal him. Due to Myranda's high DF she often gets ignored and people try to hurt Cojo first. My sole purpose for Myranda early to mid game is to keep cojo alive, until either Cojo is dead, or she is badly hurt - then I will turn her into sabertooth or whatever else is appropriate.
  3. On the subject of Steampunk Arachnids then - what do people think are their uses on the field? There seems to be quite alot of 'meh' reactions about them. from the thread about Langston vs LSA see - http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/97744-ramos-wave-2-howard-langston-vs-large-steampunk-arachnid/ I am liking them because when I compare them to a 4ss small arachnid (taking in context of the single ones only) at 6ss I get... 7 wounds instead of 4 wounds 1 in 4 chance to get armour +3 makes scrap if it kills an enemy model - aka more spiders to run more objectives In context of hiring multiple small arachnids at the start of the game as designated objective runners, for an extra 2 soulstones each these guys are likely to last much longer and have a chance of actually taking out any enemy intercepting minion models? They are walk 4 unimpeded which is 20% slower than the small ones. I find that my small arachnids sometimes get caught out and easily stomped by more superior enemy minions whilst running their objectives - I know its probably due to my tactical error, but the price of 4ss for an objective runner can be pricey at 4ss with just 4 wounds, even factoring in armour +1 and df 6. Despite these deductions they are just theoryfaux, anyone have any experience with them yet? or any other angles of theoryfaux to add about them? or synergies?
  4. Wyrd could use its quirky ideas and talent in game concept designing to make a good mobile app game. I could totally see Wyrd inventing a new killer to plants vs zombies. Although I dont even know what kind of game it would be - I believe they can!
  5. Since Wyrd stopped selling individual blisters of 1st edition boxed sets I havent been able to find that really awesome 1st edition Perdita model. Anyone have one on sale? Thanks *Edit: sorry for being unclear I meant the first ever Perdita original model, the one that comes with the original pewter boxed set.*
  6. I really like the pale pastel color scheme you achieved across the crew - very eerie and disturbing!
  7. Love the frohawk! How did you sculpt it?
  8. Wow... exactly those words from above poster! Would we be able go get a pic with more lighting? I understand this id optimal for the atmospheric loo k but im curious to see how u painted jer!
  9. Hahaha I'm from Thailand - what did you have to do to get hit by a staff? Thought that only happens in the Hangover films. Even Low River Monks don't physically attack you!
  10. I really like the stark highlights you achieved. These are the kinds of things that stand out on the table top!
  11. Thank you for your kind words! Here is the crew alltogether. Please click on the picture for a larger version!
  12. ahh i wish i got the WWE kickstarter!!!!! so excited to see them all painted
  13. such a cool colourscheme! and lovely touch on the cacti!
  14. Hi J! thanks for your kind comment! Here's the link to where I bought them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30mm-round-DS-dungeon-scenery-resin-bases-/380179152946?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item5884718032 hope you find that useful!
  15. Wow!!!! I love the colorscheme!!!! White and Orange, they all look so Shao-Lin whilst retaining the Steampunk feel to them. Amazing. Congrats well done!!!
  16. The more I look at it, the more Rasputina's pink is symbolically powerful! good job!
  17. Thank you for your kind words! A friend suggested I should add yellow shade to the under belly, like green tree snakes. What do you think? I'm leaning towards the suggestion as well.
  18. Razorspine Rattler was fun to paint!!! I didn't have to do very much. Mix up some turquoise with some darker green for basecoat, wash it down with black and drybrush + high light up with some light pastel green mix gradually lightening up to the model.
  19. The crew so far... Cojo, I decided to just go realistic silverback gorilla style. But I didnt know how else to paint him without going with as fine a drybrush i could possibly do! I thought so little raised edges, doing blends of grey and black is too difficult for my skill level. How would you have painted cojo (realistic gorilla style?)
  20. that is sooooo cool!!!! :) might have to steal that idea. ---------- Post added at 08:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:13 AM ---------- this reminds me of the 'sad flutes' from Cowboys vs Ninjas. just how i want my misaki crew!
  21. love the jeans and rusty chains! Color scheme is unique and breaks away from the general leather coats. You manage to make black death marshalls look really uniquely yours!
  22. they look very intimidating and awesome together! great choice of red brick base to complement the purple hue. Very thematically malifaux, well done!
  23. thanks Big Ned and Viruk!!! I keep thinking the pallete is abit dull but thats just me going from Seamus's vibrant belles to Marcus! The cerberus pallette was so different from anything i've ever painted. I'm relatively happy.. i think. haven't varnished any of these yet.. what would you add?
  24. I would vote orange glowing bright eyes for your models. This is because I feel the existing paint scheme gives off a 'warm colour' feel to it (although purple and green are technically cold colour) the purple is almost more maroon and my gut feeling concludes that the model is a warm color scheme
