You might want to reconsider Nino.. his range and head shot trigger can give a bit of board control with Perdita does her thing.. As for 4 point minions, it really depends on the schemes.. if you face a lot of spirits, having some Witchling Stalkers and the Handler would help you beat them.

I think if the relic is still carried by insignificant models, you don't get the VP. So what I do (with guild hounds), after getting the relic, I run my hound back to the nearest significant model and bring another hound nearby (for my hound to be significant again) and have the carrier hound interact with the significant minion/master and have that minion babysit the relic till the end of the game (or bring it to my deployment zone for more points depending on schemes). I think it's best to keep your normally insignificant model significant if they are carrying an objective.,, just to be sure.

Focus/Channeling is useful against Zoriada... since you get a negative flip if you use 1 AP to attack her but you get a positive flip if you focus or use a 2 AP attack. Also, this will be useful if you're looking for a suit for an effect (like Nino's headshot). Sometimes, when your target is almost dead, and there are no legal target within range, focusing your attack will almost guarantee a kill (unless you flip the black joker).

Aside from Book 4, I think the game needs 3 things: 1. More strategies and schemes - C'mon how many times can we play stake a claim, body guard and grudge? 2. More Masters, Henchmen, minions and avatars - I think a master and 2 henchmen each faction... 2-3 minions and an alternative avatar for the current masters. But If I had to choose, more henchmen please. 3. A re-release compendium of the books. Perhaps a new updated mini rulebook (2012 version) and a complete book of fluff and models so far. I'd like to have the fluff and models in one book (I'm saving space.. an e-book would be nice) for easy reference. I'll be happy if one of my wishlist happens... I'll be ecstatic if 2 of 3 happens... I'll be drooling if Wyrd gives us all 3!

Hmm.. not that Lady J needs the additional +2 cb, her Sword Style Fate would easily do that and then some depending on how many rams you flip for your combat total but it would be nice for Lady J to get better cb after killing an opponent... fluff-wise its like having some killing momentum so it seems like Inspiring Swordplay also affects Lady J... much to the pain of my enemies.

I like Tuesday's Strategy suggestion... seriously, if Wyrd is going out of business, please sign me up for the remaining Viks, Leveticus, Collodi crew boxes and a few undead models.. LOL Now, I really can't wait to see what goodies Gen-Con would bring.

Personally, I hope Wyrd comes out with more Strategies and Schemes... perhaps more faction/master based schemes. This would add more life in the game. New models (I want more Henchmen, a new master and some alt Avatars) and a new book would be awesome.. perhaps a re-release of the book 1 fluff and models (Book 1 remix) and a new 2012-2013 version of the mini rulebook. As for game growth, Malifaux is growing in the San Jose, CA area.. at least at the FLGS... The local Henchman even has a Malifaux Achievement League coming up...

Hmm.. having +10 Armor for Hoffman is good (broken good) but if it cost that much in ss, AP and model count, I think you are better off Machine Puppeting the Peacekeeper, the Pale Rider or the Warden.. and let your ss do the defense (wound prevention/healing). The best defense is a strong ss powered offense. my 2 ss.

June is a busy month (at least for me). So my weekly game time with Malifaux has decreased to just 1 Saturday for this month. Plus, I also play Warmachine/Hordes and the Colossals have been spoiled so that means time to save up for the new models. I agree with the others, I believe Wyrd has something up their sleeves for Gen-Con (4th book is the rumor). Meanwhile, I just got more Malifaux models so June would be painting month for me... (no model left unpainted)

Thanks @Sarsnick and @nilus Finally, I can break the Kirai offensive line my buddy keeps fielding against me. Lady J can now break through the 4-3 formation and sack Kirai for the lose of VP... Good thing I convinced my buddy to buy other Resser models and even consider hiring Desperate Mercs.. otherwise, he'll be in big trouble.

I'm in the same position as you. I only have 1 game with the Hoffman box so take with a grain of salt. I use the Hunter as Hoffman's Machine Puppet Target of choice. Since the Guardian will be protecting Hoffman and the Watcher will be grabbing objectives. Now, it depends on how many ss are in your encounter, some would suggest replacing the Hunter with another minion when your tight on ss. Would I field Ryle over the Hunter? Hmm.. it depends on the Schemes and Strategy. I'm sure when the Warden comes out, the Hunter will be further relegated to bench warmer status which I still do not understand.

@ratty can I still target Kirai hiding behind the Drowned (Spirit and undead) since the errata just ruled that Spirits do not block LOS?

@rancor709 I guess the next episode of Cheated Fates Radio will cover these new development. I still find the Executioner vs Executioner a bit funny... I guess in this case, the guy who shot first ends up dead... so in a way the attacking Executioner got Greedo'd... hehehe... while purists would argue the (Han shot first result) Defending Executioner should have died - since the attacking Executioner should have benefited from Love the Job but hey... it's an example... perhaps a debate topic on the Malifaux podcasts..

I haven't played 40k (or what others call the 401k game) and the news of the makers to increase the prices does not help their cause... BoW is in a niche market and their videos have a high production value so I have no qualms with some "company" sponsored posts/videos/etc. I like BoW, they helped me as a noob in WM/Hordes and they even covered Infinity (which my group stopped playing in favor of Malifaux). Now, they're blowing my mind with the WM Colossal unboxings and previews... So advertise away BoW, you probably just convinced me to buy the Stormwall...
