So up to this point i based models by crew, which while nice has caused a couple issues for me.
So my Zoraida crew was the first one i got together, and i had not based her at that point, just glued her in and figured id just glue on some sand later, my standard basing strategy. But since then i have started getting more into modeling my bases and such, so when i got Collodi i got inspired and all the bases are planked to look like an extremely worn creepy stage. I just got some a carrion effigy for the zoraida/collodi group and a weaver widow and decided the carrion effigy will be my tester for my zoraida basing so i built a dock and dirt underneath etc so it looks slightly similar to the style of the wyrd bayou bases, and i thought if i painted the wood somewhat similar i could tie the two together like collodi made his stage out of old dock wood or something like that. But then i hit my weaver widow. In that dress i dont know if i quite like the bayou idea, and she wouldnt be a performer. I almost want to do cobwebs on her base or something but dont think i could accomplish that in a way that i would like with how much of her base she fills. I ALMOST am tempted to get a cobblestone base like i used for hamelen as i kinda invision her as a character that would sneak into the outskirts of the city at night for various reasons but then she wouldnt fit into the crew basing at all.
So I decided to post here and see if any of you had suggestions? I can try to post a pic of the collodi bases and the effigy base tonight if it would help.
Thanks!
