Firestorm games sent me Storm of Shadows last thursday, I haven't seen it at other stores in the UK though.

I recently came up with the idea to recreate the team stationed in outpost 31 from John Carpenters 1982 film The Thing to proxy in for an Ortega crew, if anyone could recommend and good miniatures or ideas then that would be great, it’s not really necessary to recreate every crew member, just: Gary (Perdita), Childs (Santiago), MaCready (Papa Loco), Nauls (Nino) and I’m still thinking on who would be Francisco and Abuela, maybe have Palmer as the enslaved nephelim and the rest as Latigo Pistoleros and Huskies as Guild Hounds. If anyone has any better idea though it would be extremely helpful.

So I noticed Beasts of War today and I posted on the fact they are covering 40k 6th edition rumours whilst a certain company increases prices and yet BoW continues to defend that company! Will anyone every offer good consumer advice for Wargaming advice, will anyone ever be a voice for us gamers or are we condemned to fan boys being big in the community? I noticed Bluetable painting doing it as well, it is supposed to be advice BUT, they look at it from their point of view, not looking out for what a regular person can afford or the practices of each company. Anyway, here is my post, do any of you guys agree? I stopped playing early 2011 so this does not affect me, however, I feel this shows something about Beasts of War, this is pushed to the side whilst they post more about 6th edition that has not been confirmed, this is consumer advice people need along with the other things, talking about a rumour is alright in passing but the fact BoW has done so much coverage is ridiculous when things like this are pushed to a small side forum that is hard to spot. I liked BoW but this to me shows how corporate it has become in the last few years, it went from a cool place to see what's in a big ass box to 1 piece metal miniatures and acting like fans instead of professionals. Sorry BoW but unless you get your arses in motion I don't think I can support you any longer, I hope you can go back to what you used to do one day. In lighter news though, The D6 Generation are still pretty good at consumer advice, not great but it is a good listen for the sensible gamer.

Ok, I just noticed this, can Marcus give a model the beast characteristic by casting Feral on them so they are a beast and then can Myranda use shapechange to transform into the model Marcus cast Feral on because that model is now a beast can Myranda turn into it?

When my next order from Malestrom is dispatched it will be my last, I'll go back to Firestorm games for my Malifaux stuff Plus a +1 for Square Orange games, I was able to get the first rulebook from them long after it had gone out of stock everywhere else.

Is there still Malifaux going on down there? I'll probably head back soon but I've bee too busy to do any gaming lately.

I've always wanted to Wyrd give the Arcanists or Outcast a Resivour Dogs style crew, I'd like to see some mob boss burning a sole-stone in a classy suit with a big fat cigar in his mouth.

I've found Malestrom hasn't had Malifaux in stock for a few weeks now, if it takes more than a month I'll get a refund and go to Firestorm Games.

probably not, I guess if you play Pandora and REALLY wanted to have an all child crew but that's it, I doubt I will ever buy one since it takes up the masters totem and even if the master isn't taking a totem, the extra SS is much better than the Malifaux child.

I was thinking about creating a spreadsheet for each game so that I could keep track of everything that has been drawn and whilst it did give me a very small advantage it takes away the fun, working out what percentage chance someone has in combat really takes out some of the fun and I think one of Malifauxs strengths is how hard is to "math-hammer", it's like Wyrd actually care that people play the game...

I don't think anyone can say no to Malifaux after a good demo, I've done 5 demos in the last 3 weeks and now we have 5 new Malifaux players.

I definately did get the idea that the Ressers cover is slowly being blown in book 3 and I am fairly interested in why Nicodem calls the Ressers an "order" like they all get along.
