Ask and ye' shall receive: Here are some shots of my Katakana snipers. I'm re-doing my light box, so these are just bench photos. Better pictures to follow http://wyrd-games.net/community/gallery/image/4008-img-1287/ http://wyrd-games.net/community/gallery/image/4009-img-1288/ To be clear-- I have every intent of purchasing any and all Shenlong-related products Wyrd releases. I'm just impatient, and I want to start playing my Kung Fu Monks now rather than later. My proxy crew will quickly get replaced once Wyrd puts this stuff out in plastic. Thanks!

I did say "one of" not "the" I've been playing Malifaux since 1.0. I remember alt Kaeris and aHoff. I just don't care about them...I want me some drunk Gremlins.

Talk about a Brew-tease. Possibly one of Wyrd's longest running gags?

WaywardSun--a play off of the Kansas song "Carry on my wayward son" and 2013 was the year I got my MD.

Low River Monks wouldn't be terrible for condition removal, plus they make nice cheap Glowing Saber targets.

Well, seeing as the "oni" keyword has come into the TT in Crossroads (ex Tengu, Kamatachi), I'm guessing there will be a TT Oni master/theme coming down the pipe at some time. There's so much out there though...maybe some people will be getting killed off.

Nice looking crew. Good execution. I like the detail in the bases...they're not overpowering, but enough to compliment the figures.

Ikvars painting adventure (feedback welcome)
WaywardSun13 replied to Ikvar's topic in Miniature Showcase
Looks great (simple answer). Picky answer--the transition on the cleaver from the dark to midline is a bit too stark. Blending that a little more could make a huge difference. Rust effects or gore might help. A deep red would contrast well w/ the purple and green you've got going on in the flesh. Don't get me wrong, I like the purple...but it's a little hard to conceptualize. Is the purple the shadow of the skin...if so...it might look better if purple was used to shade everything else. If it's supposed to look like bruised or decaying skin, some lighter purple outside the skin folds and recesses might work. As it stands right now, it looks like a lighting effect, and if it is, then the whole scene should be captured in that same purple shade. Very cool piece though. Saw your other thread about critiques. Hopefully this wasn't overzealous...just trying to help. -
Sorry for the thread-cromancy. I've been looking into the Brewmaster as TT lately. One thing I haven't seen discussed is Oiran. Great for dishing out poison, and there's the new upgrade. Also TT Archers--able to shoot into the drinking party w/out randomization (I think). Thoughts...?

Always love looking at your stuff. You certainly have an eye for color, and you've produced some very vivid, lovely models.

I was actually a huge L5R player back in the Gold/Diamond/Lotus/Emperor arcs. Big Dragon Clan fan, which is why I was so excited about Shenlong in the first place (very Togashi-esque). Here's a list of the minis I've used, thus far: Shenlong--Riku, GCT Bushido/M1E Seishen Sensei Yu--Master Po, GCT Bushido Standing Monk--Togashi Bojun, L5R Clan War Kneeling Monk--Martial Artist, Hasselfree Minis (I think) Lone Swordsman--Samurai, Tale of War I think I might use the Kitsune from Bushido for the Kamatachi. I'm still up in the air on Peasants. Thanks.
