  1. Stage bases are pretty easy to do with some Bass wood from the hobby store or even slicing up some popsicle sticks and a little wash on them. This is something similar that I did for my Grems, not an ideal picture for seeing the decking, I'll try to get a better one for you if it would help. http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?32758-Mudge-s-Malifaux-collection
  2. Welcome to the game and the forum! If you have any questions or need help, just fire away.
  3. I've been having fun running Jack Daw with the Viks. His aura shutting down cheating and SS use within 6" combined with sword Vik's paired attack has resulted in many dead enemy (including Izamu) and is great for killing masters. Not sure how competitive it is but definitely fun.
  4. Just my opinion here but Frame for Murder requires the model be killed or sacrificed by the master, and it was Seamus' aura that caused the sacrifice, I, personally give the VP to my opponent.
  5. I usually demo with Viks plus a minion vs Ophelia plus 2 minions or (as said above) Seamus and Sybelle vs Lady J and Judge. I usually throw in a couple SS per side to just touch on SS usage too. If they are experienced war gamers I will open up the cases and give them a rundown on each crew and let them pick if they take a real shine to one particular crew.
  6. Looks great so far, very impressive. I would second the recommendation to post pics instead of links, you'll get more traffic and therefor more feedback.

  8. I guess that would be a "book rack"??
  9. Lets see, Start by looking at my list of house chores..."Nope, don't wanna do that..." Look at TV/game console "Nope, kids have that tied up..." Look at paint table "Waaaay tooo much unpainted.... better get to work" Stare at variety of models in various states, pick one that strikes my fancy. If it needs cleaning, clean. If it needs prime, check outside temp, prime. If it needs clear coat, check outside temp, check humidity, coat if temp >50 and humidity <50. If its ready to paint, stare at it until I get a vision/inspiration. Make with the painting (usually 2-3 minis at a time, paint ADD) amongst beer runs (to the fridge), answering questions, review of everyone's day, and occasional chore spells. Cat informs me its time to stop painting (by jumping in my lap). Clean brushes, go to sleep.
  10. Both look great Nix, nicely done. (But I want to see individual pics when you get time)
  11. Nice write up Nix. I will definitely be implementing some of your knowledge shared here.
  12. Welcome, For Dark Debts, I would add at least a pair of Beckoners then see how it goes and decide where to go after a few games. For a second crew, in plastic, fairly straight forward, I would say The Thunder box, they have a few shenanigans, but can play fairly straight forward. I would also recommend adding Yamaziko to that crew. Just my $0.02, hope it helps.
  13. I use Rustoleum Ultra Cover (has a big 2X on the front) in black and white primer and have had great results.
  14. This project is really shaping up beautifully! And it only being your second attempt makes it all the more impressive. I really like all of your work, the figure, the concept, and the stats. Keep at it, you are doing great work.
  15. I walked past my paint table the other day and thought, "What a mess! Oh well, works for me..." Then that got me thinking "I wonder if anyone's table is this bad? Worse?" So lets see your work area, as is (no cleaning up like mom and dad are coming for a visit).
  16. I hope this is the place for this. A friend and fellow gamer has a kickstarter for dungeon tiles for SDE. I have played on these tiles and they breath a little extra life into the game and add to the fun for all of us. If anyone is interested here is the link. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/92980796/super-3d-dungeon-boards
  17. Great looking crew, I like the paired opposing colors.
  18. Some really impressive figures, I like the unusual colors on the witchlings, they came out very nice.
  19. Looking good so far, I like the black and gold on the flaming skull.
  20. Once again you are inspiring me to hit the paint table. Beautiful work.
