  1. Like you, i have no idea what the thread was called, or where the ruling was put (possibly in one of the announcements about book 4 ) but that you are correct, his I2I does not stop him from being targeted.
  2. Ahh i thought thye had only changed it so you took 1 WD for the slow, i thought it was still 1WD per alp within an inch when they make a walk or strike. Sorry for the miss information
  3. The Source is an Aura (the black spot with a white stick man inside) So that means they must be within 6" when they activate.
  4. Sorry, i think that may have been poor phrasing by me there. An Alp alone will not do a lot, two together against an isolated model will do far more, so they love to gang up on models with a 1" mele range if i remember their rules correctly, as they take 2 WD for each strike (assuming 2 alps within 1" ) and with the Negative to WP, probably also are slow so wont get to make to many attacks:) (0) night Terrors is a nice thing to make the model burn cards, but i find i rarely have the action spare for the dreamer to use that ability unfortunately.

    Ribble Rumble 2013

Ok, so i have just learnt that the rules are up in a link in the thread i put in the original post, just something wrong with my computer so i can not find it. Just in case you have the same issues, a very simple version of the rules are: Fixed Faction 40SS games 2.5 hr games 5 games over the weekend There will be no Byes, as if we have an odd number of players i will play, if we do not, i wont, nice and simple:) And for this event, there is a painting requirement, three colours and based. Along with a best painted for your system, and a best painted overall prize.
  6. Not a bad start, only thing to say to the list is to not expect the alps to work well un supported
  7. Zoraida Rarely needs her SS, she can move around and is relatively survivable without them on her own. And Collodi is the same, he does not need a lot but keeping i would say around 4 just in case is always useful for him. Zoraida's Avatar on the other Hand, i find loves SS ether to use a low card to guarantee a trigger. And to help her survive a little bit longer, or simply to kill stuff. On her own, 5 would generally be enough imo for her As for models, anything Neverborn that gets called good works with her. As she is fairly independent in what she does. She makes your models move more/hit more whatever. And she can do exactly the same to your opponent, except working for you:P Always fun So the Twins, Lelu and Lilitu are pretty much always effective. Tuco, self contained, can work alone, but always effective again. Mature Neph, gigantic beat stick, and fast. Waldergeist's Good hitters, and if there is a Forrest, they get even better, and are able to assist with some board control/manipulation. (No idea if i spelt the name correctly.) Collodi & his marionettes. Wicked Dolls, great to have as they can be summoned each turn if you so chose. Brutal effigy - Healing Flip Arcane Effigy - Extra Cast action. Terror Tots - Cheap significant Desperate Mercs - Cheap, and deadly on the turn you kill them, even more so with obey. Her Avatar i love, most of the time. That is about everything i tend to consider for her
  8. There should have been an Additional half a card with all his paths on. So perhaps you need to check you received that, or check the Soul porter card to make sure he costs 2 not 5, as you may have possibly received the wrong set:)
  9. From what i have seen, he is just an extremely blunt instrument, that does 1 thing extremely well. He walks into combat, and walks out the other side, unless you put a lot of effort into him.
  10. I think these pics are a little better, but just of McCabe. Unfortunately my phone is apparently not that great at taking pics of individual models, and so this is the best i can do, hope you can see them better:)
  11. Thanks Here is pics of McCabe and McCabe, and then finally his friends all together (missing the dog for now, have to paint other stuff then ill get them up (a couple of guild hounds to go with it) So here we Have painted: Mounted McCabe McCabe Sidir Alchibal And Three Wastrel's Very happy with the final result from these guys. Have to say though, having painted Mounted McCabe how i did, separate from his horse, i have decided two things. One, it is a bad idea as i broke him a little to put him on when glued together afterwards. And Two, Those weird ropes that I spent ages looking at wondering why the hell he had stupid ropes wrapped around his arms, actually make sense when put on the horse (Happens to be his Reigns.)

    Ribble Rumble 2013

This year, at the Ribble Rumble they will be adding Malifaux to the List of systems they are running at the event. The Event is over two days, on Saturday the 27th and Sunday 28th of July, and is being held at: The Atrium Students Union Building Fylde Road Preston Lancs PR1 2HE Tickets will be £22 for the weekend. Payment to be made via paypal to geoffhts@tiscali.co.uk - http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=111641 The link there is for the current thread for the entire event. This is a Multi System event, and currently Malifaux have 12 spaces available, however if there is enough interest, and we can find enough terrain for it, i am told we should be able to expand another few boards. This well be a ranked event, on the condition that someone explains to me what i have to do afterwards, all i know is it is relatively simple. The rules pack: http://www.ribblewarriors.co.uk/EventFiles/Rumble2013/Ribble_Rumble_2013_Malifaux_System_Pack_v1.0.pdf The Event Pack: http://www.ribblewarriors.co.uk/EventFiles/Rumble2013/Ribble_Rumble_2013_Event_Pack_v1.0.pdf Map of the area around the Venue:http://www.ribblewarriors.co.uk/EventFiles/Rumble2013/RUMBLE_LOCATION_PLAN.pdf Hotels Map: http://www.ribblewarriors.co.uk/EventFiles/Rumble2013/RUMBLE_HOTEL_MAP.pdf For this event, i will be playing only if there are an odd number of players, to avoid anyone having to receive a bye. If you have any questions about this event, PM me on here, or send me an email to: oli_nic@hotmail.co.uk I hope to see you there Thank you Oliver
  13. Ok, i now have Sidir Alchibal painted up, which i have wanted for ages as i thought he looked really cool, but have to say, whilst painting him, i found him very irritating, and a pain to paint over all:( But for the most part im relatively happy with the Result Also, what is the Macro mode/setting?
  14. It is taken from a camera phone, as i do not have a digital camera. So i have no idea, but usually it takes better pics, but again, usually i an taking a pic of more models from a bit further away. I just didn't seem to be able to get good shots of these models for some reason:( And thank you
  15. Wow, your work is absolutely fantastic! But for your competition entry, is that all free hand you have done on his back?
  16. Cheers, was aiming for something like that, Mcabe shall be something different to them, browns and more dirty, less telling of the fact he has/had a rich daddy to get him out of everything That will be the plan anyway Wastrels i was wanting to still look a little spoiled, and less used to the life they have been tossed into now. And the models seemed to fit right into that, all in fancy ish clothes and looking important. But one is ether, even more spoilet or is slowly learning to care less for the finer things. Discarded his jacket, and got him self some weapons, but still clinging to the old ways a little, still got the fancy shirt and pants like the rest:)
  17. Ok, first Malifaux models painted in a Loooong time, but here they are The Wastrels from the Relic hunters box set. Some bad pics, some ok, but i didnt seem to be able to get the camera to focus on the individual models properly. Hope you like them:)
  18. I am so glad you said that The Godlyness, i thought we had been playing it wrong, and suddenly, briefly became even more terrified of her:P But Pandora tends to do most of the work in her crew as far as killing stuff goes, so generally you want to take stuff to support her, such as anything generating a WP duel, and if it happens to do Damage as they fail, all the better:) Hence the Stitched & Insidious Madness in the lists above:)
  19. Personally i don't like that part of her, because it makes you more likely to go first. Yes, that is a great thing on crucial turns, but a lot of the time it is not that important to go first or second, and when it is not important, going first makes you burn activation's first which i think is generally bad. And as said, she is relatively easy to kill unless she goes first and copies defensive ability's, then she cant do much else. So as you may have guessed, personally i do not rate her. Sure there are some fun tricks she can do, but she just is not a model i am a personal fan of using.
  20. If that is wanting a simple crew to start learning the game with, go for Lilith first Lilith - 6 stone pool. 3 terror tots -9 Mature nephilim - 10 Lelu - 7 Lilitu - 7 35SS list, nothing overly complicated in there, and should be relatively effective. 3 little, fast objective grabbers, 2 hitters, 1 control and Lilith herself. If your specifically after a Dreamer list, going for 35 (is an automatic size for me to go to) The Dreamer/LCB - 7 Pool. 3 Daydreams - 6 Lelu - 7 Lilitu - 7 2 Stitched together - 10 1 Alp - 3 As for the Dreamer, personally i am not big on the Insidious madness although giving everyone a negative on their Terrifying checks is fun But they are useful, relatively cheap, fast objective grabbers. Unlike Night terrors they will work as well on their own as with 20 of them, so good if you only need 1 objective model. And considering the dreamer can make all nightmares within 6" terrifying 12 i think, they can put up their aura which can be very nasty. For Objectives i would get 4 Night Terrors (ressurectionist model that is a nightmare and can be taken by the dreamer) they come in packs of two, but you will see most people recommending three, which can be irritating, but they are fast, and a pain to kill, so are awesome for objectives. As they move in a flock with enough of them there will generally be one left for you to take objectives each turn. Next model i like is Coppelius, as said, he should be in the starter box if you got that, as he has high Cb and an auto paralyze trigger with float wk 6 and mele expert. and several other ability's, whats not to love? - can do damage, but better at control. Teddy - a great model to hit things with, but generally wont survive to many to many games, it seems to have a talent for dying, however with the dreamer you get to place it where you like, and kill something, then remove him from the board with a daydream/dreamer so it can survive a lot more easily with the dreamer:) Widow Weaver - not to sure about her, seems to just be a summoner, but i have not used mine often before so can nto comment to well on her. Though the 1 game i used a proxy, i summoned three teddys (separately from the remains of thee previous ones) so can be useful in the right games:) I can not think of any more nightmares you do not own, and with the dreamer i generally do not use anything without the nightmare characteristic, because it is so useful to have with the dreamer:)
  21. At Worthy gaming in Preston they are running lots of mini events for all to come join in with, and even cake! This means there will be boards for many Systems, and most importantly Malifaux will be set up to play if you happen to be in the area. Above is nicks video about the event for those who are interested. http://www.facebook.com/WorthyGaming And their facebook page, again if you are interested. If you find yourself with some free time, i would recommend you head down, generally a great bunch of people there. The address is: 58 Lancaster Road Preston Lancashire PR1 1DD Tel: 01772 828385 I will now add that, currently this has nothing to do with me, as i have been unable to get to the store in the last month or so, but i am sure i can find out the answers to any questions you may have, and intend to be there from 10am until 6pm (Store opening times) to help out with anything Malifaux related. I should also have my Evil baby Orphanage set with me, so just ask if you want to try the game out, im sure there will be some opponents there for us:)
  22. The above is correct, however there are i believe two exceptions to this, that allow it to be cast multiple times per activation (generally twice) These would be a Trigger from Minion Hamelin, and a Trigger from Avatar Zoraida.
  23. This point i believe is correct. As Mei attacks Colette but before the attack is finished, a blinding flash triggers, and changes the target of the attack with the new showgirl that Colette swaps with. So Mei hits the "new" show girl, and moves into base contact with her instead of Colette. And as always Colette is away and free, whilst Mei is hitting something deemed Expendable.
  24. Depends on weather you want a selection to chose from every game (recommended) or just 1 more versatile crew to use all the time (not so recommended)? Ramos' Box set Ramos Avatar - Considered very good, but probably not great to start with avatars as a beginner. Kaeris Gunsmiths, maybe 2 (Personally i have not yet figured out fire gamin so i am not so big on recommending her box set, so i would say if you can find her individually, to go that route, but i may be alone in this:)) Large Steampunk Arachnid, maybe 2. Hard work to put together though, just as a warning:) Mobile Tool kit - Totem for Ramos Essence of power - Totem for Kaeris An Additional model that may be of use for Kaeris are Willie the demolitionist. A big hitter for the crew that could be of good use is the new Rail Golem. Can not think of anything else to add for now but im sure plenty of others will:) ---------- Post added at 09:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:39 PM ---------- That btw gives you 6 small spiders, so you can magnetise/pin them and just swap the bases if you put them together:) And the Electrical Creation is essential pretty much, forgot about him:)
  25. Yes, in the wording of the spell on the V2 cards, the spell states it can only be cast (meaning successfully cast (Beating the spells casting total with required suits included)) once per turn.
