  5. I would have to say that things would be simpler and possibly unbalanced without the Master Shenanigans amplifying/supporting their crews. Games without Henchmen or Masters would basically mean no SS and certain crews don't do well without their masters. Examples would be Showgirls, Gremlins (maybe not the Kin but not sure), Abominations, Insignificant, and possibly Nightmares. Usually these crews sort of rely/synergize(?) with the play-style of their Master so you may not see them doing well. The rest of the crews can do well, with the possibility of certain crews going into hyperdrive (Family, Spirits/Undead, Nephilim) or possibly creating new over the top combos for the format.
  6. Uh, why would he lose anything? He basically gets an avatar for 4 turns, and so far that has been a better way to play him than waiting it out.
  7. It's true that his strength is not as apparent as the other Ortegas, but they all fill a niche. Papa Loco is dangerous to even other Ortegas, Santiago is lackluster until you get him to half health and Abuela is just another Obey most of the time. Francisco has one under used talent though. Against low wound models he could be using Fanning. So far I have used that effectively against 3-4 wound models. I understand that since it's a Mask most of the time players will prefer to use those for Niño, Santiago or an Obey but I find that situation popping up often enough.

  10. Viktorias and Von Schill have won first place at Adepticon a couple of times so my answer would be yes.
  11. And Nino, dont forget about him and his trigger happys. This makes it so that Pandora has to take out either all 3 (unlikely) or Lady J (doable).   17. I believe a Puppet's Soul was changed to Friendly, and Perfect Machine can stop Lazarus from targeting Collodi with Assimilate. But no fear! The Freikorp Strongarm will be coming out soon and that thing is a force of Nature against Collodi.

  19. I think all of this would be a lot simpler if Patchwork Armor was removed and he received Object 1. Granted this would also affect things that cause Wounds but I don't think that it would be that much of a bonus. Just my two cents.

Well at 35 you can take Outcasts Crew - 35 - Scrap Leveticus, Steampunk Necromancer -- 6 Pool + Leveticus, Avatar of Entropy [2ss] Canine Remains [2ss] Hooded Rider [8ss] Mechanical Rider [8ss] Pale Rider [9ss] And although the riders are amazing, you are running low on activations. So be aware that this list is big on getting the first Initiative flip on important turns. The main problem with getting the fourth rider with this kind of list is having a construct when you have already Manifested and have just started your turn. The SPA's just don't survive long enough for you to kill them. And to be perfectly honest, it is exceedingly hard to do anything with them other than killing them.
  21. Yep but the lil snippet Omen put out. specifically Bold area has the specific part that trumps the Vik activating. So they can Replace either of them, but only the one taking the action gets to do anything. Unless you activated a Vik, went through her activation THEN manifested. But then again you still dont get to use your Avatar turn two this way.

  23. Actually, with the exception of the Hooded Rider, since the Effects don't have an end time they end At the Closing Phase. Kinda sad about that since they make the Riders special, but you have to wait until they activate for them to gain those attributes. EDIT The Hooded Rider states to pick one at the beginning of the Game. So I dunno if that even stays on anymore.... that's curious....
