  1. I dont think i've even looked at the site that often lately, I either go straight to forums, or the store
  2. having spent the better part of an hour searching for an orian's face in my carpet, i feel you pain with the tiny bits
  3. There's some of the art/minis I do like, the ice golem actually looks like a golem now, and not an anorexic troll, new bells, death marshalls, gremlins still look goofy as they should. and there's some I like the older art beter, like the Viks, Seamus, McMourning (mostly those glasses) so I'm sort of on the fence ---------- Post added at 11:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 PM ---------- Also, just caught this, but what is with Miranda's leg?
  4. The only irish guy is a phsyco killer who likes dead women. we all know he should be drinking heavily and starting fights
  5. 2 models does not make a chain. not complainign about the change, just think they shouldn't of called it what it isn't
  6. I think I've seen someone do something similar with a tyranid lictor for W40k, it was a pretty cool effect. no clue if wyrd'd approve of it though, maybe if you made it clear enough your intent wasn't to sell it
  7. last minis, gencon order for nightmare tara, new belles, death marshalls, arsenal cards for ressers, and miss step. and i got a khador starter for warmahordes
  8. meh, I've known people who play the latest edition of 40k, and still take a weekend to play the original rouge trader ruleset, I dont see why people can't play both to their preference
  9. having come from a warhammer/w40k background, I'm used to new editions just as you've catched up to a 1000 point army, now need another 1000 points because everyone's playing 2000 point armies because they're in the rulebook. long as malifaux doesn't go that far, I can manage the occasional edition update. it can't be nearly as bad as 3rd ed DnD going to 4th ed mmo-in-tabletop-form DnD at least
  10. I finally got Yan-Lo, primed the minis with Army Painter black primer, I've used it plenty of times before, on metal, resen, and plastic, never had a problem, so far have not had a problem with Yan-Lo's crew, except Chaiti, whose face and mask are featureless blobs, I thought maybe I went a little too heavy on the primer and covered the details, and went to try scraping some off lightly with a toothpick, and watches as the plastic oozed right off in a clump with the primer. I've never had this happen before with this brans, and all the rest of the crew look ok, no loss of detail, no meltyness or squishyness. I'm actually not sure why it was just her head that was affected like this, they all come off the same sprue
  11. He has a ribotic leg is what I think he meant 8
  12. if w40k can update the rules for their models each edition, I'm sure wyrd will manage
  13. some of the people in my local gaming group are about the same with terrain for Malifaux. I was interested in getting into infinity, i like the look, setting and the hacking rules, but there's a distinct lack of people playing in my area, and halflingspy who was the only other person around considering infinity, got talked into mercs instead, and mercs just doesn't do it for me
  14. the local group around here's gotten big, we usually have 3-4 games going half the time at the local store.
  15. haven't had too much problems with brittle plastic yet, it's the tiny peices that I've had fun times with, searching for one of the orian's faces through the carpeting shen I dropped it by mistake
  16. i'm great at cutting corners with flesh, elf flesh for a pale look, dwarf flesh for a darker look, rotting flesh for zombies, cover it with devlin mud wash, then drybrush it with more of the elf/dwarf/rotting flesh. ---------- Post added at 12:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:08 AM ---------- i mostly use citadel colors because it all looks like different shades of grey to me, so if i'm looking at something that's labelled "zombie flesh', I have a clear idea that it's somewhat fleshy colored.
  17. when I'm not too lazy to get up and take it out for a pic, i'll post my ressers wagon, made the wagon part out of balsa wood and GW wagon wheel, and the coffin from the old Black Coach
  18. i'm leaving the face off of mine, and just painting it to be an empty helmet
  19. a special war rooster, it has wings already afterall ---------- Post added at 12:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ---------- ice golem could be a little less spindly, and I have to admit, I don't have a huge issue with the ice gamin, but they could look a little more like they're made from ice, and not wierd little reptillian guys
  20. i think they've said before that they wanted to stay away from any religious characters. a gremlin preacher and gremlin nuns with shotguns would be great though
  21. the thing I liek the most with the books is the background, rules and minionwise, they're all about equal across the board for me, I can't say much about avatars only because I haven't gotten any yet
  22. electrical construct, it looks like a steel ball wadded in bubblegum, master Misaki, I don't like the effect in the foot kicking up, and plan on using the original masaki model as an alt if i ever get a 10T crew. mcM I don't mind the mini, I ended up sculpting a gasmask over the face, not that it's too noticeable, but have noticed he's basically a triangle with an arm coming off the side and actually, the art doesn't look 100% like the models, there's some differences, even if they're small ones
  23. why would I need to throw out my models again? i never did with any other miniatures game when the rules were updated
  24. wish I'd done that with my sybelle, all I did was add a hat and a bustle, mostly because I didn't want to paint that ass...
