Lol. Keep 'em coming!! The bases are epoxy glue with half greenstuff balls squished in; they look a bit flat in the photos, there's a bit more "bumpiness" to them IRL. It's meant to be slimy swamp mud type stuff - should probably have done it brown, but I wanted a contrast with the pigs flesh and the Gremlins coats/hats. Hog Whisperer is up next, since he is similarly squelching in the stuff. The rest of Jones's Crew are on Dark Age swamp base inserts.

First up are the Piglets. These were fun, easy and quick to paint. All done in about 2/3 hours. I need help naming them all tho, so fire some suggestions for redneck/hillbilly pet names at me!!

Well, if they do decide to errata this then you'd also need to change Jones so that he can hire something else besides just 'Gremlins and Pigs' (maybe add 'Mosquito' to his list). That's the only reason the Mosquito has the 'Gremlin' attribute; otherwise it would be a 'Pig' and you could have other crazy shenanigans with it.

Eek, lets not get the poor Gremlins errata'd before they've even got going! LOL. They're already considered to be a bit "underpowered"; I'm having my fist little test game with them this weekend tho so I will see for myself. Either way, they seem very fun to play, which is what I'm mainly after. EDIT: On a side note, I was sticking my War Pig together last night and noticed that inside the model it is written: "Pork Chop Express" and underneath "Squeal like a pig!" It's little touches like this that make Wyrd such an awesome company.

This has been an interesting thread to read, as I decided (perhaps foolishly) to pick up Som'er Teeth's box set as my initial Malifaux crew; mainly because I loved the flavour and aesthetics of the models and because they sounded fun to play. Of course, then I've read all over the place that they'll get "LOL-PWNED" by some of the other Crew boxes and I was getting a little anxious. Anyhoo, the list I'm gonna probably be starting with, to get me up to 25SS (so that I can play a decent game against my friend's Ortega box) is the following: - Som'er Teeth Jones - Bayou Gremlin - Bayou Gremlin - Hog Whisperer - Warpig - Piglet - Piglet This leaves me with 2SS for the game, the same as Perdita's cache. Is this list any good? It'll leave me three Gremlins (due to a mispack) and two Piglets off the board to bring on with spells/triggers/whatever.

Nice battle report. I'm quite interested in picking up Zoraida myself. Only problem I can see here is that you brought Juju back on the same turn he was killed; but discussion in the Neverborn boards seems to indicate he can't come pack until the next round. So, it would be the end of Round Three earliest that you could bring him back.

I've not got or read the rulebook yet *mumble grumble stupid post strike* but as I understand it isn't the Convict Gunslinger a pretty good ranged solution that can be taken by Lady J's crew? I like buying tokens almost as much as buying miniatures (I'm that sad) so I've no doubt I'll switch over to Wyrd's official ones when they come out. heh. In the meantime tho I thought these looked pretty cool... as for getting 50 for $3, would you ever need that many souls tones!? lol. I see this pack of "power gems" rather like the "Eldritch Gems" glass beads you can buy: i.e. you can goto a flower arranging place and buy more for cheaper, but do you really want a hundred of the things lying around in your house!? Having a little blister of 12 in the colour you want seemed more convenient.

Tor Gaming is a UK stockist of Malifaux stuff, and while browsing their website I came across some "Power Gems" for another game called Sphere Wars, which would probably be awesome for representing Soul Stones. They're cheap and come in all the different Malifaux faction colours, aswell as Black and White (and Pink if you're truly Wyrd!!). I can't find the Lady Justice + Death marshal box anywhere in the UK at the moment, it seems to have completely sold out. Rather than be miffed tho, I'm actually happy that the game is selling so well. So I'm quite content to wait a bit longer and read through fluff, etc. before I get my starter box.

Hey hey, it's my first post here. I've not actually played a game of Malifaux and am in fact still waiting for the rulebook to arrive (it's very popular here in the UK already!!). However, I've seen in pics a Malifaux tape measure, which I believe was available at Gencon. Is there any chance for us people outside of the US to get hold of a Malifaux tape measure somehow!? I know it's lame when I've not actually played the game. But it looks ace, I love the models, and I'd like a new tape measure. heh.
