Turelio
Hi Everyone!I thought I should post up some photos of these here, as I haven't posted photos in a long time, even though I'm still painting. This is a Rail Crew I finished last week for Malifaux. It's just the base crew, but I'm pretty pleased with the level I got them finished to in the speed I did. Because there are a fair few images, I'm going to post one of each of the models, and if you want to see different angles etc, they are on my blog (http://tureliopt.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/things-get-painted-malifaux-rail-crew.html). I'll also include CMON links below in case anyone would like to vote on them (In which case, thank you!) BabyFreak6
I'm in love with the emberling. You really did an excellent job capturing the fire-magma look. The rest of the crew is amazing as well, but I'm really impressed with you emberling!! Krystal
daddy4count
fantastic work! The orange was a really good choice and ties the crew together. Amazing flesh tones as well
Nickienogger
Wow!!!! I love the colorscheme!!!! White and Orange, they all look so Shao-Lin whilst retaining the Steampunk feel to them. Amazing. Congrats well done!!!
SpiralngCadavr
Quite nice, though there's something a little odd about the skin- maybe missing a little red or highlights?
Nemissary
Great work! I like the "prison orange" pants . When I was in Thailand, monks wore robes in those colors, one of them even hit me with a staff several times. Good times back then Just great minis here! Viruk
Very nice paintjobs, I really like the smooth highlights. The wood on the bases also looks great. What colors did you use to get this old worn-out look?
Doc T
These are absolutely beautiful. You've inspired me to do the rail crew! What orange did you use and are the 2E cards available yet?
Turelio
Thanks guys! Sorry for the late reply. I've been busy lately. Viruk, the wood is airbrushed p3 Cryx bane base over a white undercoat. Then dry brushed Cryx bane highlight, then thrall flesh, then GW underhive ash. There are some darker pieces of wood which are painted Cryx bane base over that, dry brushed GW Karak stone, then washed with agrax earth shade. Doc T, there are m2e cards available in the arsenal boxes, probably the newer plastics as well. The orange is half Macharius solar orange and half wild rider red. Sunburst yellow was added for highlights, then VMC light yellow. VMC chocolate brown was added to the base colour for the shades, the oxford blue and German camo black brown

vonevilstein
Wow. I'm not far off posting up my Rail Crew, unfortunately they've already been blown out of the water by these models...

Hahaha I'm from Thailand - what did you have to do to get hit by a staff? Thought that only happens in the Hangover films. Even Low River Monks don't physically attack you! SpiralngCadavr
Heh, not quite the same, but when I was in Japan, a few of us were meditating in a temple, one of my friends started to nod off and got a good whack from an attending monk for it.
