Inquisitor Wall
Great work as always. I especially like how the skin on Lilitu came out.
zFiend
I really like the skin on them, they are very different looking than I've seen
Wings
I really like the Daydream for some reason. The muted colours really suit it.
Viruk
They all look fantastic, very nice job on the skin tone and the basesare excellent too (them mushrooms!).
Math Mathonwy
The Daydream is super smooth - really great! And the severed eyeball is amazing! I also really like Lilitu's hair being light blue like her skin but done in a very different style and a slightly different hue - shows off the differing texture extremely nicely. Very nice work!
dgraz
Thanks everyone. The mushrooms are a first attempt.....stolen right off of this awesome site : http://www.necrotales.com/necroTutorials/tut_mushroom01.php I was pretty happy with them. I also really like Lilitu's hair being light blue like her skin but done in a very different style and a slightly different hue - shows off the differing texture extremely nicely. Thanks for noticing. I really wish I was a better photographer and/or had a better camera......you noticed the plucked eye, but it actually looks even better in person (imo)...there's actually 3 shades to the white, 3 to the blood, and 4 blues.....so tiny....I still have a tic in my own eye from it LOL. Math Mathonwy
Thanks everyone. The mushrooms are a first attempt.....stolen right off of this awesome site : http://www.necrotales.com/necroTutorials/tut_mushroom01.php I was pretty happy with them. Here's another nice mushroom tutorial (if you wish to do different kinds): http://anakron.fr/site/index.php/l-atelier/tutoriels/item/sculpter-des-champignons Thanks for noticing. dgraz
Here's the Dreamer with all his Daydreams, and some Alps to go with the earlier Nightmares.
Viruk
Fantastic work on these, I love the smooth highlights and choices of colors. The blue Daydream is my favorite!
Mako
It's the eyes on the little yellow one that I like best I think. Full of character. Great work all round!
zFiend
I usually don't like the iris' to be included in the eyes, but this time.. They look fantastic and bring such character to the Daydreams!
dgraz
Thanks all. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how fun the Daydreams are to paint (been a long time since the last time I painted some).....they're so silly.
Math Mathonwy
Oh man, you've gotten those Alps to really sing! Very, very nice work. The hat is amazing and the different arm straps colours make them pop really nicely. And the work on the eyes is absolutely top notch.
dgraz
Thanks. The client wanted a Halloween/Harvest theme which actually gives me quite a few warm colors to work with.....that's why I went with the blue/grey skin tone...thinking that any other color would contrast well against it while giving all models a similar feel. It's actually one of the more broad crew color palettes I've used........blacks, browns, greens, reds, oranges, yellows....so many choices

zFiend
Man that model is awesome. You painted it up real nice as well. I especially like the gums and the fur!
martin david hall
Your painting is great Dgratz ! Superb teddy The fur is great did It take ages? Some great looking commissions, looking forward to seeing more.
dgraz
Thanks. Yes, it took ages......and ages. I think it may have given me PTSD Many, many layers......so, so much hair.......the teeth and claws too...they were like 7 or 8 layers and took a few hours with all the little striations in them. Totally worth it though. It really is an epic model.....my hat is off to the sculptor. I'm not much of a photographer, and he actually looks quite a bit better in person. You can see the depth in his hair better.....and of course his teeth aren't blurry....you can just about count each one from across the room. Viruk
Great paintjob the fur looks particularly good.
dgraz
The final piece of the dreamer crew. I wish I could take better pics....these don't really show the cool inky darkness in his skin.
zFiend
Wow. Brilliant! The eyes, the tongue and the chest really make him pop out! Well done!
Viruk
He looks great and I just love the way you've painted his chest, adds yet another nightmarish dimension to LCB
dgraz
Thanks. I'm working on finishing the bases this weekend, then I'll post pics of the entire crew together. And now I'm starting to think about Poison Dart Frog colored Silurids
Tombanjo
How do you do that striated effect, like on the muscles for chompy or Cujo's chest and even in the darker 'stripes' in cujo's hair. I totally want to steal it (with a totally different pallet) for my Cujo to make up for the lack of actual texture. Is it just freehand trickery or something else?
