Skexes
So he needs to be tall as hell. Way creepier.
Iron Heel
I like the idea, but why the back lean?
Mister Shine
Also liking the idea, but you'll wanna be careful with the folds, looks like some are inverting at the contact point between the sculpt and the metal
Viruk
I like the idea of the evil puppeteer looming over his dolls but as was said above - be careful with recreating the folds in the material.
Skexes
Yeah went and cleaned it up. The weird angle is supposed to indicate unusual stuff going on under his clothes. Plan on going in an sanding a bit more to smooth it out. Also first time sculpting so any tips are mucho appreciated.
Iron Heel
What is the material? It looks like Pro-Create to me. Only general advice is...keep your tools wet and don't be afraid to build in stages (after the last stage fully sets). I look forward to seeing it painted. Skexes
It's plumbing putty. Works like green stuff but cheaper. Sticks p.retty bad but so does green stuff
Omenbringer
Definately like the taller Collodi. The stock one really does look a bit squat compared to the concept art in the book.
Skexes
Also wanted his arms to be a bit longer so made some cuffs to extend them a tad
Nickienogger
Hey I think its coming along great! Great effort as well, I appreciate that this is no easy task. But you've definitely achieved the look you aimed for. I'm excited to see how the rest of the crew and painting comes along!
Chris Tomlin
This is cool! Coming on very nicely. Should be a unique piece when finished. Got an plans for the colour scheme yet? Chris
Skexes
No color scheme yet. Open to ideas. Also considering starting over, had a crazy idea last night. Why is Collodi so tall? Cause he is a bunch of puppets standing on each others shoulders! I could do something similar to this and then have some puppet faces peeking out. Trying to work up the nerve to undo what I've done so far, especially since I just gesso'd it. ---------- Post added at 05:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:03 PM ---------- Yup gave him a Collodi C section. Here's one of his marionettes for size reference.
Skexes
Made a little face and opened the robes.
FoeRender
I wasn't on board till the open robes and little guy popping out , cool .
Skexes
Added some detail and hair and a cool little hat. Sculpting is pretty fun. Enjoying my first time out.
Omenbringer
Intersting concept, now if you could incorporate something like this with the strings this would be absolutely epic.
Evilbleachman
Freaking awesome concept. Well done, Sir!
edonil
That...is disturbingly epic.
Evilbleachman
Hmm. To make it even more disturbing, you could make Collodi indo a Collodia! Give it the whole Mother of Puppets theme or something.
Piranhamoose
That looks awesome. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Chris Tomlin
Haha awesome! Really impressed with how this turned out bro. Adding the dude under the robes was a master stroke. Very cool. Get this badboy finished and based. Chris
