Also liking the idea, but you'll wanna be careful with the folds, looks like some are inverting at the contact point between the sculpt and the metal

I like the idea of the evil puppeteer looming over his dolls but as was said above - be careful with recreating the folds in the material.

Yeah went and cleaned it up. The weird angle is supposed to indicate unusual stuff going on under his clothes.

Plan on going in an sanding a bit more to smooth it out.

Also first time sculpting so any tips are mucho appreciated.

What is the material?

It looks like Pro-Create to me.

Only general advice is...keep your tools wet and don't be afraid to build in stages (after the last stage fully sets).

I look forward to seeing it painted.

It's plumbing putty. Works like green stuff but cheaper. Sticks p.retty bad but so does green stuff

Definately like the taller Collodi. The stock one really does look a bit squat compared to the concept art in the book.

Also considering starting over, had a crazy idea last night. Why is Collodi so tall? Cause he is a bunch of puppets standing on each others shoulders! I could do something similar to this and then have some puppet faces peeking out. Trying to work up the nerve to undo what I've done so far, especially since I just gesso'd it.

Yup gave him a Collodi C section. Here's one of his marionettes for size reference.

Added some detail and hair and a cool little hat. Sculpting is pretty fun. Enjoying my first time out.
