A big fat Book 5 Speculation thread.

Does Malifaux even have any large bodies of water? Obviously there's enough available however to sustain life in a reasonably sized population, but aside from swamps and blizzards I don't recall any tales on the high seas just yet.

That said, I've only read the fluff of books 1, 2 and half of 3, so I admit in advance that I may be mere pages from exactly that.

I am through 1,2,3 and part of 4 But just b/c so far there hasn't been any High Seas stories doesn't mean there can't be! Thay Just don't have that Master yet that is why you haven't read about it yet!

Yea how hard is it to wright in a harbor. Clearly there is water some where how else would you have the Drownd models. Dont say a bucket of water or bath tube or what ever. There bodys are clearly submerged in several feet of water. haha

Not down with pirates? Then what are those dockside bases for? They certainly don't seem as appropriate for rivers, lakes, or swamps as they do for an ocean.

As far as other dual faction models, before book 3 I'd written a short story of Colette being assassinated and rezzed as an Arcanist / Rezzer master. Stat-wise, that'd involve adding belles to her showgirls.

Isn't the normal warning "you can drown in 3 inches of water"?

Seriously though, there is a river running through Malifaux city as well as miles and miles of sewers unground or occasionally exposed to the open air. It's fairly easy to drown in either (especially with assistance from your friendly 'protection insurance specialist' some chains and a concrete block.

There are no major bodies of water shown on the maps of Malifaux presented so far and I don't recall any mention of large bodies of water or harbors in any official fluff bits. The river through the city could be fed by streams in the mountains and could run into the bogs of the bayou (swamps, but not Pirate worthy bodies of water).

There was a fluff story about riding a boat through the bayou and running into gremlins (and even trading with them), but that's still shallow water and small boats. If you're looking for large sailing vessels and cannons, I don't see that happening in the bayou. If you're missing the large sailing vessels, cannons, and pirate hats, what makes a pirate different from any other outlaw.

I agree that it wouldn't be that hard to add a harbor and a large body of water to the maps and I am sure went haven't even begun to scratch the surface of Malifaux and what it has to offer yet, and on top of that there are those dockside bases what else would they really b4 besides Pirates?

Though I still want a female construct Master

That is your oppinion, but this has nothing to do with Malifaux and I'm sure the others on the forum couldn't care less so back to the topic at hand.

Malifaux needs pirates!
