Viruk
The paints I have are result of several years of painting commissions and adding them slowly one by one or set by set. Took me a while but I'm quite happy with what I have now though I plan to add more Reaper paints soon. Here's the last large commission I was working on, or rather the first part of it (pics of Thorin's company coming soon). More pics here. Demonn Agram
those look awesome! a quick question, why are they all on 3cm high bases? (was it a requirement?)
Sybarite
They look great!
Viruk
a quick question, why are they all on 3cm high bases? (was it a requirement?) Yes, that's what the commissioner demanded. I think it turned out nice as it adds to the dynamism.

Viruk
These three were A LOT of fun to work with and I really enjoyed painting them. More pics, as always, to be found on my blog.

Wings
Really nice. Well done with the heads - they look great and are very smooth. It looks like a challenge painting something with such different proportions!
Omenbringer
Brilliant execution as always Viruk. You took some pretty characterful models and made them even more so.
Viruk
Today I started working on Avatar Perdita and began by working on the skin of the beast. I'm using the artwork as my reference so I went for a bright color. Here's a quick WIP shot: I plan to paint the wing membrane similarly to the way I did it for Fellbeast C&C are welcome. Demonn Agram
that will look awesome. the membrane colour on that fellbeast is great and should compliment well the blue skin of the horse (?)
Linus Mcmold
Awesome looking mini and might I say an astonishing base. Nice blue tone you chose. Even if I would like to see it in a different color from the Wyrds original, the wing membranes might change that significantly. Could you please take a mugshot of the Perditas monstrous flying beast (manticore thingy) when you take a picture for the next update. It seems to have a lion like face with an extra pair of sidejaws.
Viruk
I don't remember exactly if this beast was mentioned by name in fluff, as far as I remember it was described as "nameless Neverborn beast/creature" but I like to refer to it as little pony. I will take pics of the face once I add some more detail there, you can expect it tomorrow or the day after
TeeCee
Really nice work on the Evil babies, so smooth. Can't wait to see more of Dita's Avatar.
Big Ned
Looking good so far. Those natural wing membranes should compliment and contrast nicely with the skin. I think it's kind of funny that Perdita's AVATAR is almost the same colour as a Nav'vi.
Viruk
Could you please take a mugshot of the Perditas monstrous flying beast (manticore thingy) when you take a picture for the next update. Here you go: Just a quick shot, not much progress done but I plan to finally paint the wings later today.
Linus Mcmold
Heh, how does he chew with that? The model doesn't look bad the way my imagination envisioned it. Weird nephilim lion thingy :Cthulhu:, it somehow reminds me of the Zuul from Ghostbusters: I'm excited to see how the wings will come out. Edited August 13, 2013 by Linus Mcmold looking for a pic of Zuul
MudgeBlack
That is really looking good, I like the color and the face detail.

Viruk
So I painted the wings, not entirely happy with what I have so will probably add a few brown glazes to darken them a little. I think I'll also pick up the blue parts as they blend in too much with the membrane now.
Evilbleachman
Pretty neat stuff! How many more models do you have in your backlog? Also, which models?
Viruk
How many more models do you have in your backlog? Also, which models? A good question I actually had to update my signature as the backlog list has become longer recently. In my old to be painted list I have: Avatar Justice, Pale Rider, Brutal Effigy, Hooded Rider and Hamelin the ratcatcher. I've recently bought Relic Hunters, Riflemen and Latigo Pistolleros and plan to get Guild Pathfinder and new LJ set soon.

Wings
I love the contrast between the membranes and the rest of the creature. It'll look really amazing when the blue on the wings is picked up a bit too.
