gretster
Hi all, hope this finds you well. I ttok the plunge and got this model maily to add to my Hoffman crew. Seemingly, as with most of the community, I thought that something about the model wasn't quite right. Having opened the box I grew to like the horse more and more but the rider still concerned me so I decided to change him. Simple really, extended the kneckerchief up to the nose, replaced the hat with a bigger one, removed the horns from his shoulders and tried (I'm no g/stuff expert) to continue with the flaps of leather to blend into the original sculpt. When it came to painting I wanted him to look much darker. His uniform is a direct copy of how I painted my death marshalls. Hope you like. Comments welcome as usual. Cheers, Gavin. Nickienogger
excellent execution of a minor conversions! you've basically fixed everything the things we didnt like about the pale rider. The paintjob on the box art was also quite pale in a bad way... you've remedied that as well. Thank you!
nilus
Not sure my green stuff skills can do a handkerchief but I am definitely cutting off the hat and replacing it with a better one. Makes the model look a lot better. Other mods and paint job are really nice as well

Clousseau
Dammit Gavin, I was feeling quite good about the progress of my Pale Rider until I saw this. Now I'm going to have to try harder. Nice job and love the conversion.

daemonkin
Fantastic! The photos of your model do the model more justice than the stock ones from Wyrd. I knew the model would be great but those shots slightly put me off. D.
Viruk
Very nice color scheme, I like the darker look and the red bandanna is a great touch.

Spjuth
Great job! But shouldn't the pale rider be paler? Any reason you didn't? Edited July 18, 2012 by Spjuth
WarlockFiretop
'Pale Rider'. Is 'Pale' an adjective applied to the rider? Or is 'Pale' a noun applied to the mount?

Glad to see it can appeal to me! I may have to get one.

daemonkin
This is the way the artwork portrays it - dusty and dirty from out in the badlands. D.

earthfade
Wow, well done. Much better than the "official" paint job and great conversions. Really changed mhy opinion on this model.
durek
Yes, congrats evry well executed conversion. Simple and very effective paint scheme. So much better than the offical Wyrd put out. May have to revisit my opinion of the model. Seems as though like most of the cartoony paint jobs lately, I appreciate them much more after they are done by someone else.
