Absolution Black
Lover, fighter, thinker............ But on a serious note, i guess I would say Gamer, Painter then Modeller. But in reality it is Inept Gamer, Dodgy Painter and then ineffectual Modeller. I'm warbling now. Nurse! Fetch me my pillow...
Simulated.Soul
Modeller, then painter, then gamer...But with other games thus far. But i do prefer to tinker with the model more so than paint it.
nightgaunt98c
I'm a gamer. I don't get to play nearly enough, but that's the part I love. I only paint becuse even I can't stand unpainted models.
Mr. Bigglesworth
Gamer 50% painter 40%, Modeler 10%... I just hate basing.
osoi
Mine are all pretty close. If I had to give them up, in the reverse order of what I'd ever lose would be: Painter Modeler Gamer Although, truly, without any one of them the others would quickly lose a lot of appeal for me. This pretty well sums up my thoughts as well, I love all three aspects of the hobby but painting is usually the area I take the longest time in getting around to doing
Kaane Feinwong
Painter and Modeler. Malifaux was the first i really started to branch out into mods and complex base work. I have some 40k stuff, but nothing that compares to my Malifaux minis. I've yet to play a game with my mini's. Honestly, I'd even throw terrain in there some where. That's what I do when I'm tired of the other three.
Liono
Painting/Modeling tied for first. Gaming far third. I am always up for a fun game but I prefer to avoid tournaments these days (been there done that). I am always looking for something fun and different to build and paint. Western theme in Malifaux scratched that itch for me.
LoboStele
Gamer first, and then painter and modeler are probably somewhat interchangeable. If you look at any of my Showcase threads, you see I like spicing up my miniatures and modifying them from time to time. I'm not a great painter, but I really like the relaxation I get from it. I probably do spend more time per week painting than I do gaming, but the game itself is why I first picked up Malifaux, and I've fallen in love with the rules. Devstro
For me it is painting by a longshot. I have 2 fully painted crews, but yet I've never played the game once...I'd love to give it a try though. I don't really do much modeling, and when I do, it is usually with terrain. ddot
Painter, Gamer, Modeller Although I'm not doing nearly as much of any of the above as I'd like lately.
Whitetiger
Gamer first; I can always get sucked away from painting by the lure of a game. Modeler/ Painter are tied, because I ussally tweek what I paint.
DangerousBeans
I'm a pretty prolific painter, in fact it's probably my favorite way to spend an evening. However I do enjoy modding things to make them a bit more individual, and I'll rarely paint/model anything that can't be used in a game. So I dunno! It all merges together pretty elegantly. I'm just a geek
Absolution Black
I'm just a geek Well done brother, the hardest part is admitting it. Now lets all hold hands and contemplate......
Antiquitas
Definitely the modelling and conversions... but the models are so detailed they are a joy to paint and then when they're done you have got to get them out there and play with them. It's just Wyrd!
Mala Fide
Wow... heck of a response here. Haven't logged on for a week. Bloody work lol. Interesting to see a very even split between painting and gaming Now off to paint an armoured train (not the battlefront £90 thing, the peter pig one at £30 woot!!!!!) Mala Fide
Which category would dioramas and original sculpture come under? Probably modelling but hey modelling and painting go hand in hand
Happy Skrewk
Gamer first and pretty much only. If I am in the right mood on the right day, the wind is in the right direction and the Moon is aligned with Mars etc, I might think about considering doing some actual painting of miniatures. Usually though I can find something else to do. Please understand it's not that I am lazy or not very good, quite the contrary but between work, kids, trying to be sociable to my mrs and balancing other life escaping frolics, painting is a very low priority to be entertained very often.
