  1. Doc has to be Baker but Smith is the best out of the new lot. Amy Pond... Scottish, red and leggy - awesome combo. The Master has to be the best baddie though I think they cheated him by killing him off. Again. Fave episode was I, Dalek (I think it was called) with the lone, single Dalek on the loose. Ecclestone's Dr did good with the fear as soon as he saw what it was. Really brought home the threat of those things. I'd like to see more of Michelle Ryan's character whose name escapes me, she was the leather clad thief that flew off in a double decker bus (only on Dr Who). And Blake's 7 is my absolute favourite sci-fi. Avon and Servalan are just sublime.
  2. A word of caution if treading this path; most, if not all, women will compartmentalise things like hair-do, nails and other beauty and pampering sessions as a monthly bill rather than non-necessary expenditure. To a female, guys have no such equivalent unless the money is being spent on said female.
  3. I use magic money, i.e. Paypal as I don't have an LGS to physically hand cash over with. Trouble is my spending is closely monitored by the Mrs and she will complain if too many little parcels arrive. Less for her to spend on shoes!
  4. Exactly, how would Hollywood have coped if on the Death Star every second imperial officer were hugging and crying like the over emotional persons seen on the likes of Lake, Stringer and the other one? Jack Baur (super hard American agent in 24 played by Keifer Sutherland) sits in his car and cries for reasons I don't care to understand. Agent Smith (super hard British agent in Where Eagles Dare played by Richard Burton) gets shot in the hand and doesn't even shout the words "Damn, blast." I love Malifaux almost as much as my own kids but I'm British so I'll get hung for making such a statement. By the Mrs if nobody else.
  5. One of my favourite involves saying things like "I'm going for a walk. I may be some time." You should go out and build a snow-malifaux-man and take a pic and post it on the forum?
  6. I've been thinking about getting some crooked for a while to boost my Seamus crew as I noticed the nasty shafted/lure trick. This thread has helped me take that plunge. Shame I have just bought Seb and the convict. Maybe next month...
  7. It is almost impossible to buy a decent piece of fish anywhere in Malifaux.
  8. Very nice work Ratty. Is that a Dave MacKean artwork on Project Emotions counter there?
  9. I've got a mere 3 tats and my first was at age 20. It's of an ankh because I was mad on Sandman (comics) and loved the idea of Death being a hot goth chick (she wears an ankh around her neck). It's also general and well known enough to mean I still don't, nearly 20 years on, get embarrassed about it. Had I put a GW Dark Angel emblem on my arm instead I would surely be thinking differently. Golden rule is be 100% certain what you want and where before you get it done and consider how you'll feel if Wyrd/PP/GW go bust in 18 months and you look at your tat wondering 'why the flip did I do that?' years down the line. My next ink will be of my boys' hand prints. Their initials are B and D and I plan to have them arranged to look like 'db'. Trouble is I don't know where...
  10. The relaxing peace and quiet after both boys are asleep in bed. Oh, and the sound of a wine bottle being opened!
  11. *Merrily (as in drunken slur) sings* Happy birthday to you Squashed tomatoes and poo Get plastered you... Seriously have a good one!
  12. My favourite for a long time has been the Ninja Sniper for Infinity: http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/ninjas-2/ Fiddly little beggars the fini minis are though, worth the effort in the end and the game is great if you can get past the rule book.
  13. *wondering why the topic went on about donkeys for a while* Looks pretty cool, though not not quite Scaven enough. Think a couple of other rats tending to gears on the limbs would have helped to pull it off. Great effort though.
  14. I've been playing Mali for about a year and your cards and reference sheets have been indispensable, just wanted to say thanks. Hope the Cambridge thing went well for you too.

  15. it will never replace the love I once shared with mu cuby... :bawling:
