Can we continue with the honest dialogue, or should we start a new thread? Exactly why I'm not closing the thread, since there is good discussion here. I have only ran LCB once and even though I can see some of his benefits and flaws I know there is much much more I'm missing. But I am finding it hard to look past the mean spirited arguing. Its not that he cant be beat. The reason he needs changed is simple. He is no fun to fight. Every game is the same with him. Boy flys in drops 4 to 5 nightmares on your head kills a few of your models putting you behind from the start and just turns in to a slug fest. These words are aimed at anyone reading this post. There is no point in arguing this up and down any more, but this is all in your opinion. Other masters are no fun to play against, should they be changed? Nico is no fun to play against if you can't deal with his hordes. Kirai to. Pandora, well she is the devil of the game and a lot of people don't like to play against her. Perdita is a huge pain in the ass for many crews, should she be changed? The point I'm making is that there is no good case for changing The Dreamer. He is balanced and a smart opponent can handle him. As per the games usual ways, some crews will have a harder time. Some people will also play him in a more subtle way and not just alpha strike you. You have to adapt to their style. As has been said up and down this thread, there are many ways to deal with him. I made a public post telling some one he was flat out wrong. I tried to do the noble thing and admit when I felt i called him out in public as being wrong. I have changed my mind and the place to admit I was wrong was the same public place I bashed him for being wrong. Karn is not a hero for bashing me as I try and be civil to OP. That being said I think Karn is a cool guy and is probably the person who knows more about chomp then any one else I have ever spoken to. Infact I don't think I was bashing you at all, or at least that was not my mind set as I posted. If my words were misconstrued to this end, then I should have spoke better. I was referring to your comments after your apology. I fixed my quote of your post to reflect this. At the same time, this was not just directed at you, but to everyone making these kinds of posts lately. Especially those about the Dreamer, Haemlin and Pandora (from the past). So I offer my sincerest apologizes to you Tadaka, I was not trying to insult you or your civil actions. I actually appreciated the fact that you publicly apologized to him. I am sorry for any offense I have caused you man. That said, I am still solid on what I said about this issue of LCB being OP or no fun to play against and needing Cuddling/changes. I understand people never like hearing chants of nurf this and nurf that. If he needs changed they will change him. My view on him was not the point of the post. But I don't ever think I said she was broken, if I did I'm sorry Karn, really sorry.... Don't Beat me.... NO NOOOOO... the pain in my ass*. Anyhow, I've changed my mind on Pandora vs Kirai, Last week I scored 8Vp - 1Vp against her and tonight the Pandora player gave up at the end of turn 3 after I ate everything but Pandora and a sorrow and had gained a model over what I'd started with, and this was a crew I thought had every advantage against Kirai. *donkey like animal of the Equus hemionus classification. Didn't really have a choice, there are 2 Pandora players and some nights they are the only people in.. But Pandora is not to bad. Especially when your playing with the correct rules. I am the one Ratty beat down to a pulp twice. First I have to say he knows much better how to play his crew than mine, those two games were the first against Kirai and the first games of Malifaux I had in months. No excuse but I made mistakes, especially this game Pandy was to far ahead and didn't support the crew, losing my doppel turn three didn't help either. Anyhow I think what really make it difficult to deal with your list Ratty is Jack Daw and the Hanged combination. With Ikiryo they can move an extra 4" and Jack can get into a good position for sever ties. Once you can't cheat the WP duel (and if jack is well placed his crew can), with the high WP of the Hanged it is really hard to avoid being hit and the negative twist really hurt Pandy crew, especially for terror checks.
