goblyn13
So today I finally got up the courage and desire to build Pandora. I've always liked the mini, but the fact that it was some 4 different pieces, (three spirit streams, the box and pandora body). So I started going over and decided in order to find all the seams i'd use the ol' Dremel and polish the metal, I had never noticed that on the spirits coming out of the box, there are actually multiple screaming faces on the stream (and I wouldn't have seen them if it wasn't for the polishing) So as i was working on it I thought I'd be cool to use one of the graveyard bases and have the back spirit blowing through the fence of the graveyard. These are the dry fittings (using good ol' poster tack) In order to make it through the back piece I went ahead and split back spirit in order to fit it through fix that up with a little green stuff. Hinton
I like the idea of the one spirit going through the fence. Looks like an interesting piece to work on. Keep us updated!
EricJ
nice idea! I remember painting this one, good luck
demonherald
I like that idea it's always a concious decision I think about when basing.. do I want the scenery on the base purely as a frame or setting or do I want the model to interact a little .. The spirit pasing through the fence is kind of on the interaction side of things and also helps sell the fact that they are spirits ....... good move. Nathan Caroland
Very neat and like seeing her on the base and hadn't thought about her interacting with it like that - just sells the woe/spirits/ghost thing that much more!
Jabberwocky
Very good concept--the fence adds nicely to the idea that the spirits are escaping.

goblyn13
Not the best pics but i don't have a whote lot of luck with photographing white primer The Base The box and the two side spirits The ghost and the fence To me it seemed that in order to paint it it would be easier to paint it in parts. also i'd include the Pandora body but I couldn't get a decent photo. goblyn13
and just because, My Bishop Being that he's a soul collector, i'm working on finding an adequate spirit to be coming out of the break in the coffin.
Dr.Mercury
you should greenstuff some ripples in the fence, I think it would look cool to show the fence being made dissolid by the spirit
St. Anger
Nice work so far!!! I agree that it would probably be easier to paint in pieces. I think that I need to pick up that mini soon. I have a few ideas after seeing your progress.

It would be a cool effect though... I like the graveyard base for Bishop!
goblyn13
Yeah liked, I was thinking of trying to pick up a spirit from one of the PP cryx folks and having it coming out of the break in the casket.

I was actually thinking of taking one of the rats from the graveyard accessories and doing something like that...
goblyn13
Or there is the hand on the graveyard accessory as well, I was thinking the spirit due to having him seen him list somewhere as Bishop -- Soul collector
goblyn13
And now with a little paint: Note: the actual pandora piece attaced to the jacket, the reason for the pin in her foot was more so that it would give me something to hold onto so I could paint it.
