cdukino
I just painted up Rackham's Wazabi. Man I love goblins they are starting to become as much a favorite of mine as dwarves. I painted her up for a competition tomorrow in Belgium (Painting Crusade in Berchem it's not a competitive competition as such as all figures get judged on their own and not against eachother (though there are parts where people do compete like in best of Rackham)). Could be that there will be pictures taken and all that and I'm not gonna find out before the Wyrd deadline has past. So i might as well show her here now. I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. Ritual
Very beautiful! Best of luck in the competition, Cindy!
Hinton
That's really good! The painting and basing are simply outstanding. Good luck with the contest.
Duende
Wow! Very nice Cindy. I'm sure you'll do great in your competition (and now I'm glad I don't don't have to compete against it, it blows mine out of the water. ). Don't forget to come back here and tell us how she did! :thumb:
Stupidcow
I love the way you had painted the trims of the dress. Never thought of painting it that way. Brilliant! She could well qualify for the coming FF2 contest.
Malebolgia
Mighty nice! Love the color use and the facial expression. Good luck with the contest Cindy
gi6ers
Probably your best work to date, good luck with the contest (even though you don't need it!)
Wren
Super stuff! I love the pretty colours on the dress, and the way you've highlighted the hair makes it look so nice and shiny. (And purple hair is just cool.) The overall scene is very nice also.
green stuff
Very sweet Cindy! The high points for me are the face, the blade, and the base. The dress' colors are a little bit too flat for my taste, but the freehand is great!
cdukino
The freehand isn't true freehand though to be honest. The swirly line is resessed (sp?) in the figure itself. A deep line drawn in. So all wasabi's you see will have this line painted
Thryth
Excellent, as always. :You_Rock_ I have real sympathy for your opponents in IP3!.

Brimshack
Cindy, When you walk through the forests, do chipmunks and the squirrels in the vicinity become that much more playful and cute? Or is it just anything you touch with a brush or a sculpting tool that becomes magically endowed with personality?
cdukino
Excellent, as always. :You_Rock_ I have real sympathy for your opponents in IP3!. Well knowing my luck I will probabaly be put against Eric in the first round @Brimshack: that must have been one of the coolest compliments I ever got... put a smile on my face ... thanks
thewartoad
I like your choice of pastels, which accent the green...GREAT JOB! Cheers!
Thryth
Well knowing my luck I will probabaly be put against Eric in the first round [Geek humor warning] Wow! The shear amount of skill in such close proximity could conceivably create a singularity destroying the entire solar system!
Hinton
Well, we might get lucky and it could be confined to our planet only.
Jubilee
I really dig that yellowygreen flesh =) It's great! And the base is very convincing, and super cool /ali
cdukino
I just came back from the competition. The quality of the doberman (that's experienced painters who won competitions before... and the category I signed up for (the other was chiwawa, or the never won comps and newcommers category) was very high. Great work. I'm happy that I won gold for Wazabi in the system where every figure got judged on their own worth, by a golden demon (and the likes) winning jury of 4, regardless of the others. But what was even more cool... i won gold in best of rackham (which only had one bronze, one silver and one gold to give away) I got nice kitchy looking throphies (which are fun) to show for it. And another fun thing. There were quite a few winners but I ended up being the only woman being called on stage. Wouldn't suprice me if I was one of the only girls even entering. Well (plenty of) pictures were taken so I will likley get my face posted on the website with wazabi. Pretty scary to see your own miniature photographed and posted huge on the beamer on the back wall as they did calling the winners;)
Wren
Congrats on doing so well! You should take a picture of your trophies and show us!
cdukino
Hahaha... here they are... about life sized on my monitor Fun side comment... the rackham figure that was painted bronze, silver and gold... is a female figure.... girl power
Thryth
Congratulations on another win (and so modest, too)! I think we are looking at the old "irresistible force versus immovable object" paradox in IP3. I'm thinking of starting a petition to stop you and EricJ from competing against each other in IP3 before the world is destroyed by my previously predicted singularity!
