  1. Somehow I think that might be a mayor limiting factor. Time. This would be a great thing if someone with the time, knowledge and will to do it made a fanpage of it as described (and no that won't be me as I lack some of those parameters ^^ ). With the galleries. Seeing it won't be official studiopaintjobs a fanpage seems quite fitting. And Wyrd could link to it. So Wyrd keeps the get the website updated and keep a good steady flow of miniatures popping into the world ^^
  2. Cool. Great work. Makes me want to carve a pumpkin myself.
  3. I have a suggestion too. Unless I am overlooking something or it has been mentioned before, then ignore this ^^. The best way to check new products, and for me a LOT is new seeing I been out of the hobby a while, is browsing the store. But a fair few of the pictures of miniatures on the box sets are very small pictures. Often to small to get a good idea of the look of the miniatures. Shame as they look very good from the small pictures and I'd like a closer look. So I find myself surfing the web/forums and such to find bigger pictures. But that is far from ideal obviously. And I can imagine people might be a bit more hesitant to buy, especially if they are not building crews, but just collect figures.
  4. I'd like to sculpt more but I ain't allowed to. I don't actually own the rights to the figure designs ^^ Wagga's I mean. But i do intent to sculpt some more fun, cute and possibly fluffy. Though It's very unlikely it will be cast. But I am getting the sculpting itch back too ^^
  5. I thought it would be fun to upload all my painted Wyrd miniatures (I have pictures of) and put them in my gallery here on the Wyrd forums. All painted between 2005 and 2007. Enjoy.
  6. Well one is a sophisticated eye-glass like any gentleman needs and to actually make him able to see stuff better. The goggles are there because it's the hight of goblin steampunk fashion and as a goblin of good taste one would not leave the door without looking smashing and up to fashion.... even if you don't have 3 eyes Or the story short... it's there because I felt like it. And now the honest answer... i bodged his right eye and a eye-glass seemed like a good steampunky way to cover it up Shhhh.. that's a secret
  7. I might not have painted any miniatures in the past 4 years or so till I started again but days ago... but I have sculpted again. Ok not much either... the sculpts can be counted on one hand easily... but also that itch is comming back together with the painting. This is my latest sculpt. The bust of this steampunk goblin gentleman is 4 cm high in total. (Afraid my photography skills haven't improved any... so this will have to do for now.) Hope you guys and girls like him.
  8. Looks around the corner and takes a peek, slightly nervous... waves... Anyone here that still remembers me? Hi all... Cindy here. It's been ... what... about 4,5 years since I last showed my face (2007)... or even painted a miniature. Thinking I would never get to painting again I decided to go through my stack of miniatures and sell some off. Which ended up with me keeping most of them anyway... and picking up the brush again to boot. And what ya know... I am having a blast. Seems I haven't unlearned it. Among the figures I have in my collection is a fair amount of wierd stuff... i mean Wyrd stuff ^^. No i did not sell those off. Checked out some miniature companies of old, and regretfully found out quite a few are no more... so I with a bit of nerves I typed in Wyrd in the search engine. And what nice to find out it is still going. And I have to say... it looks good from what I see.
  9. Very fun piece and good painting. I like it. Little busts are so much fun.
  10. Pirate dwarves... brilliant.... love them. I like dwarves, I like pirates, and I really like the combo The psychics are looking great but are not really my theme.
  11. I like it a lot. Would not have guessed it as a Garrity sculpt if it wasn't mentioned. I agree about the loosing the juvenile quality in the sculpt is a good thing. I prefer that.
  12. Thanks guys. So far it's been a normal (rather stressy) workday (my collegues were sick so i had to pick up their work besides mine and sit alone most of the day on my b-day ... Then again i could put on my own music which was nice). Good news: I don't have to cook this evening as my mom and dad are taking my sister and me and the boyfriends out for dinner... hmmmm Getting hungry just saying it already. And for once i don't have to drive So the evening is definatly looking good. No, no sculpting or painting at all done lately (let's sum it up as migrain problems), but i have been drawing more and more lately, which i like equally. So no worries about getting my creativity fun shot
  13. Happy birthday, or more of a ... hope you had a happy birthday ... Bit late
