Adran Posted October 11, 2021 Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 You are correct, by the rules of the game it can only be hired by leaders that share a keyword with it, or if you declare its faction as your faction for the game. Its unlikely something would change just because of one of its sculpts. As others suggest your best bet is to use the sculpt as a proxy for something you can hire. They're the food. The Botanist is the plant. So you can't hire them into Bayou same as how Guild can't hire the Wendigo, because the Guild Guard is being eaten. Mr Oogie Boogie Posted October 11, 2021 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 however think about it, the bayou would have all sorts of poisonous plants, and they make alcohol you would need to know what plants to put in that didn't poison you, id say gremlisn where more likely to have a large natural affinity for plants living in swamp lands. for example in the uk where i live we have a type of weird people that live on houseboats down by the river, the boats cant sail they are ancient and wedged in the mud, but they are experts in which marsh plants to pick which are edible and sell preserves and all sorts made from the salt marsh plants that grown round there. because they live there. Reading the description in the Explorer's Society, the Botanist is most assuredly not the plant. The plant is the weapon of the botanist according to the Explorer's Society entry.
