New thread for November is open!

Feel free to use this thread to post WIP photos (if you so desire), get feedback, trade ideas and hobby tips as we continue the year into November.  Winter is upon us!

When you have completed your pledge, feel free to post it, but I'd like everyone to post at the start of next month (Dec) with their completed pledge photo and stone value for NOVEMBER - this will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of where everyone is up to.  Plus, we get to start off subsequent months with some inspirational posts of what people have gotten up to the month before   You can also PM me with your completed pledge if you like, and I'll add it to our tracker (to be updated!).

 

I've got some updating of the tracker to do - but I'm a bit snowed under organising the company Christmas party - a thankless task!  I'll do my best to get this sorted over the next couple of weeks

 

Great work as always everyone - I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do to finish of 2016!

In October I finished my Waldgeists.

The 3rd is unfortunately a failed experiment and until I know how to 'save' him, he will stay like that

 

For November I will start my Christmas Project.

I will post a Link to it soon.

Can't post the pictures here because the person I want to give this to for Christmas is reading this thread too

Hello fellow Painters Challenge ... painters,

Here is a better photo of the Raspy friends that I painted up for October. 

Total is 24 SS. 

Will be painting the Arcane Emissary for November; it's drying on the sprue after a quick bath.

In November I'll be painting Kirai's crew box, Jaakuna Ubume, and Datsue Ba, JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN

October was a nightmare from a work perspective for me. I only managed to paint that steam arachnid swarm for 8 soulstones:

I spent some time on Hoffman. I wanted him finished by the end of October, but I did not manage. Hopefully, November will be less busy.

The start of the Arcane Emissary.  I have some base colors down on this now.  Have an idea of having flames coming through the ground under the feet, and will hopefully have time to try this out.  The nice large surfaces on this model will give me some practice with blending.

For October I painted alternate Rasputina, the Slate Ridge Mauler and Miss Fire for the Rotten Harvest competition. I also painted 2 December Acolytes. Much more than the 10ss I needed.

This month so far I've painted some models to make my Dr. Dufresne and starter models into a playable crew. I painted a Francisco proxy (8ss), Zombie Chihauha (2ss), Executioner (9ss), Nurse (5ss), and Sebastian (7ss) for a total so far of 31ss this month.

For December, I am going to push a bit more (for me) and do 3 December Acolytes because this seems well and just, plus metal avatar Nicodem for someone at my FLGS.  That old metal aNicodem is a great model.  Will post photos of the beginings of these models in the December forum when it pops up.  I am having a great time painting with y'all.

Due to some unfortunate news for the family I will be away from the thread for a while (other priorities must come first).

If anyone fancies starting the December thread that would be fab!  I'd hate for my situation to impact the momentum we have going here
