newsun
Trying to figure out who I can bring that helps with getting through armored targets like Waldgeists.I know Lone Swordsman is one. Who else can help with this?
heretek
Samurai ignore armour with their melee attacks, without needing a trigger like Lone Swordsman. They're kind of slow, but Favour of Heaven can speed one up.I suppose technically they're Outcasts, but you can hire Ronin as Mercenaries. Like the Samurai they have a reasonable damage track, don't need a trigger to ignore armour, and if you're able to position them for Flurry they can burn down most constructs pretty quick. Rathnard
Samurai and Katanaka Snipers both have melee attacks that ignore armour. The Lone Swordsman has a trigger, as does Misaki (kind of ). IIIRC McCabes Glowing Sabre also ignores armour but i could be wrong on that one. If you're still having trouble with armour, then another option is to look at stuff like poison or burning to get through those last few damage points. Bloaty
Glowing Sabre does at least 2/4/5 and ignores Armor as well as some other things. Any minion can use this but Rail Workers can get to attack and damage when using it making it especially scary. Warden can also increase that damage even more. And being near Toshiro can make it even better!!!

Everything listed is great suggestions and has me thinking about adding a Samurai to my stable, however I don't seen anything on the Katanaka Sniper card about ignoring armor. I just assumed he had a Daido, like the Samurai and Ronin.
Pyrflamme
Not in-faction technically as she's a merc we can hire, but Taelor's Crushing Blow trigger on her Relic Hammer (needs a tome) ignores armor. As a bonus, it also gets around Hard to Kill.

Am I mistaken in understanding that Armor reduces damage from Burning?
Kirby
You are correct, armor lowers burning damage. But it's still damage. Jorogumo can be added to this list too. Its (0) action attack ignores Armor.

chris_havoc
Yeah as was said, Mei Feng/Kang are king at this with Hard Worker. Kang and Rail Workers are useful enough that it's not a waste including them in crews most too. Eclipse
If we are talking about Mercs like Ronin and Taelor, then the Strongarm Suit has a trigger that says the damage can not be reduced, for a potential 3/5/7.
