MasterDisaster
This one isn't too bad, they are VERY Radio 1 though.
jonahmaul
I was never really a fan of FF until I saw them live (I went as Jimmy Eat World were supporting!) and they were actually brilliant. I've never really thought of Faith No More as being commercial but Royal Blood aren't like that because FNM are ace and RB aren't!

jonahmaul
OK, I read it as discussing FF and FNM as commerical bands but very different!
Absolution Black
OK, I read it as discussing FF and FNM as commerical bands but very different! yeah, it could have been clearer! FNM are probably my favourite band (at least in the 'rock' genre)...I have been lucky enough to have seen them live twice during their Angel Dust tour. Live, they are even more awesome!

zFiend
I went for a band I haven't listened to for a while. Entwine. Finnish band, quite okay. Painstained is definitely their best album.
PraetorDragoon
Currently listening to Miracle of Sound. Guy who has game-inspired songs. Later ones are pretty good.
jonahmaul
Currently watching the best TV programme ever made (The Wire!) but was listening to Mastodon earlier who are also an awesome band.
ddot
Listening to a bit of Wintersun lately. Black metal + folk + prog, and even cooler than that might sound.
zFiend
Heard good things about Wintersun but have yet to try it. Today the day was kickstarted by Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder God album.
SpectreEliteGaming
Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium All albums really, but mostly that. Painting music for Adepticon prep. >8)
zFiend
Septicflesh - The Great Mass. Man this and Titan albums are really good. Well both have a few not so good songs but majority of the songs is just insane.
Math Mathonwy
I'm not usually into quite this deathy death metal, but Annihilated are just above the curve for me it seems. They sound brutal without being ridiculous.
zFiend
Maybe I will try that after Titan ends. I cannot just stop this mid record.
zFiend
Well it'll have to wait after all.. Slayer - Christ Illusion album.
thebiggesthat
Mellon Collie today for me, one of the absolute classic albums of our time imo. The new High Flying Birds album is astonishing as well, especially if you were an Oasis fan
zFiend
One does not simply listen to just one slayer record. It dragged on to this day as well. Now it has been Christ Illusion, Diabolus in musica, God hates us all (the best one btw), Seasons in the abyss.
thebiggesthat
Diabolus in Musica is my favourite, but only because it soundtracked a summer for me
zFiend
It's a good record. I like it.

jonahmaul
Hatebreed are bloody awesome! Soon I think I will be listening to the banging of my head on the table as I'm marking students assignments!
zFiend
Hatebreed are bloody awesome! Soon I think I will be listening to the banging of my head on the table as I'm marking students assignments! They are indeed! That's not a good sound. MasterDisaster
Diabolus in Musica is my favourite, but only because it soundtracked a summer for me Really? That album is widely considered a steaming pile of horse crap, including by the band members themselves, I saw them in an interview once calling it a stain on their career. They sold out and made a Nu-Metal album due to pressure from their record label. They hated it, abandoned their record label at the time and never went back. They are Thrash Metal and should never have changed, Seasons in the Abyss or Reign in Blood are the best albums I've heard. I've been listening to Kataklysm a lot again recently. Shadows & Dust, Serenity in Fire and In The Arms of Devastation are their best albums IMHO
Math Mathonwy
I really like Tombstone Highway's Ruralizer album. A really deep, southern sound groove metal. Who would've thought that a banjo works so well in metal? Or that music like this comes from Italy...
