  1. What problem gives the Doppleganger to Tara?
  2. And about out of faction minis with the same keyword? I'm worrying for Anna Lovelace in my VS crew
  3. Just bought and mounted some Seishins, and before painting, I'm asking me if Anna Lovelace is still summoning them in M3E
  4. Just noticed that Von Schill's name is Leopold. But... Anyone knows which is his range? Captain? Commander? Captain Commander? Lieutenant?
  5. I must say that, beside the teuton strampunk soldiers, the human mercs and the outlaws, the ninja crew was one of my favorites themes. It was gonna be my next purchase when I finish the Viks crew with some mercs, but now I'm moving from it and my next purchas will be Parker Barrows. A little sad. Really not interested in the fling gremlin pirates.
  6. While I'm quite sure that gone masters will return, not sure about they being the same. For example, I think Wyrd is gonna keep the dame number of masters between factions. The return of the gone masters should mean 10 masters to Neverborn. 2 new masters for other factions? Could be, but also could be only 1 new master per faction. Lilith returns to NB and Collodi is moved to another faction, like outcast. That would mean new Guild, TT and Gremlin masters. Just thinking.
  7. I feel that all the gone Masters are listed that way only for "official" events. Quite sure all of them will officially return in some future, but by now those models are not gonna be allowed in all of these "campaigns" wyrd likes to launch. Maybe some world event to decide wich master returns, or how Malifaux evolves before they return... But think about this, do you really think that wyrd is gonna shoot in its foot by eradicating so popular masters? They will sure be back.
  8. So now Von Schill has a new mechanic giving items to his crew? Something like McCabe? Not happy about losing the ninja crew on outcast.
  9. Karina can, but she've forgotten more about necromancy than knows the rest of the Resurrectionist together. (yes, I know there's consequences in the end of the turn)
  10. I started Malifaux because of Steampunk, not creepy monster nor black gothic necrotic lolitas. I like humans and steam constructs, so I started with the Steampunk soldiers of the Freikorps, but I have been more and more used to the Malifaux style (I really hated the grotesque looking of Leveticus's Crew, Seamus's Crew, Howard Langston or even the Nurses of McMourning). Guild: I like Perdita, but absolutely if in my local shop would have had the Hoffman's Crew, now I would be a Guild player. The less interesting guild crew for me is Lucas McCabe, simply don't find anything that fit with me in him. Arcanists: Although I really like both Mei Feng and Ramos, my top Arcanist master is no doubt Ironsides. An street fighter brawler leading a gang of academics mages? Deal. Probably the less interesting Arcanis Master for me is Collette, but I really hate Marcus xD. Neverborn: Here I find hard to choose between Dreamer and Collodi, probably the last one. But the one I'd never play is Pandora. I even don't understand that master. Resurrectionist: Is a faction I'm really not interested, the Masters I like more are Molly and Kirai, for their fluff of being almost the most "good" masters in game, but I like also Reva and Yan Lo. The one I like the less is Seamus. Ten Thunder: along with Misaki (from my faction) and Mei Feng, my favorite master is Shenlong. I've always love the martial arts, and a Shaolin monk is one of my favorite options here. The less interesting master here is, again, Lucas McCabe. Gremlins: The king of the Bayou, no doubts. Always with Can'o'Beans. I cannot say about the worst master for me, I like everyone.
  11. I must say I don't like much of Ama No Zako, since her costs 9ss and I find I like more other expensive options. Also don't feel to me like she's tough, since def 5 and HtW plus spending ss is not in any matter unkillable to me (we could say the same "unkillablivity" from Taelor"). But I don't feel like she's one of our worst models, just that I don't like much what she makes. It's obvious that many players play her and really likes what she do. Not sure what she have in TT that doesn't in Outcast.
  12. 4 radius plus Ama's mini is almost 10" diameter, it feels to me like a large portion of the board. I have not played with/against her anyway, and while I'm not totally sold with her, seems to me like that kind of mini wich many struggles with while others triumph.
  13. Von Schill is a Jack of All Trades, not a dedicated beater, so he can't face full beaters like Lady J by himself. But he can keep distance an shoot her, buff his crew with Oath o the Freikorps and reposition enemies/his own crew with Nythera Aftermath, he can weaken Lady J and then charge out to let his crew shoot her, and he can also finish a harmed Lady J. I use to play him im full support mode, with Oath of the Freikorps, Nythera Aftermath and I Pay Better. You must be carefull with the Specialist. He's a kind of slow short-ranged glass cannon, if you give your opponents a chance to kill him they're gonna do it, because of the damage he can cause. Don't play with him in the front. I like to keep him near Von Schill and in the late turn give him Oathkeeper and place him in a good spot. The last time my opponent was not carefull with his approaching, the Specialist killed 4 models in the first turn (6-8 damage plus burning 4-5). The Librarian is a little bit squishy, but along with her healing she can hit really hard (2/4/5 with furious casting is not a joke).
  14. Nonto attack, no extra shoot trigger, no rapid fire... No way Dead Outlaws makes the same damage than Convicts Gunsligers. They can do other things (and are quite more hard to take down). But CG could make up to 6 shots in one activation.
  15. They're probably well costed for their damage output. And with Return Fire upgrade become more dangerous
  16. I like the gunslingers, but I think that their worst thing is their Df 4. It makes their trigger almost anecdotal.
  17. Then you'll be happy to know that SA doesn't buff his Ml to 7, but his damage to +1. I cannot speak about Bishop. And while Lazarus has done interesting things for me, he's been also taken out of the game quite easily by a few average models engaging him. But I'm strating to get tired of singing the same song about Strong Arm. Maybe he's not for some players because of his strengths and weaknesses, maybe he doesn fit with some playstyles. But he's a beast. He's tough (yes, def 5 is not awesome, but I can't remember any armor 2 model with def 6+, so it's in the top in his class). He hits hard (2/4/6 with easy +1 damage and trigger). He shoots quite good (12", the damage is not awesome, but Sh 7 is, and also the Slow trigger). And he is mobile. If some anti armor charges him and doesn't deal 10 damage, he can simply charge any other place. Put on him Scout the Field and enjoy his 7" bubble of "I can charge anybody out of LoS".
  18. If the model is 2" from VS, he's engaged and cannot shoot. If is more than 2", you cannot repeat unless you hit/cheat/ss the push trigger from VS's pistol.
  19. I like to build crews that I like for fluff, style or because I have the minis painted. Yes, I know that list-building should care, but I think "playing" should care more, and for me (only my opinion) it's not an in-game decision.
  20. Sorry, I disagree with that.
  21. Von Schill has become a really strong support Master. He can shoot quite well, keeping distance and forcing your opponent to move. He can charge any model more dangerous than him at distance. He cannot be blocked for any engaging enemy. He makes Freikorps harder to take down in his bubble, he can give other Freikorps extra actions (or even himself), he can place around him his allies or enemies. He's not easy to kill. The great thing of Von Schill is that he's not the best at anything, but he has not only one form of fight, so if he finds that his enemy is better than him in melé, VS can shoot, if is better at shooting, he can go to mele. He can hunt support masters, and has a anti-push/place shooting bubble to disrupt movement tricks that also serves versus summoners.
  22. No, in my case I want to play a Malifaux game in wich the victory has more to do with your decisions during the game than your choices building the crew. A really balanced game in wich your crew building is more related to the style of play you want to do than the strenght of the list itself. Yes, it's very difficult to balance so many options to make all equal, and obiously to choose random minis to fill the 50ss list shouldn't be as effective than build carefully a crew, but reduce the balance of the game to "be the best flipping" is as nonsense as reduce the unbalance as "being the best building the crew". Next time, we could show our lists and the best list wins, we do not have to waste time playing.
  23. Also is the fact that in many board games there's not really balance. Like taking always the shame characters because they're the best combination.
