  1. That has not been my experience with this crew but I haven't faced many outcasts this edition so good to know about.
  2. I love hidden sniper, give it +1 stat and a built in ram would make it incredible. I use it more in guild with Expert Marksman but I've used it in NB when the opportunity provides. Hitting a big beater top of two with two high rams you carried over dealing 8+ damage and giving it injured 2+ make it pretty easy to mop up after that.
  3. Lucius Scheme (Neverborn) Size: 50 - Pool: 2 Leader: Lucius Mattheson Totem(s): The Scribe Hires: Doppleganger Mature Nephilim Inhuman Reflexes Changeling Ancient Pact Changeling 2 Ancient Pact Guild Lawyer Agent 46 This or a variety of something like this is a fairly standard list I run with him. This is definitely not the list I would try for a no kill win. Lucius goes around with a changeling 5 inches ahead and to either side of him. Pump up the Mature, the Doppelganger, and Agent 46 so they can do the heavy lifting.
  4. I personally love Lucius and will take him into any game. To the point where I have to talk myself into playing a different master for a game. I have won several games with killing 0 or one model so killing doesn't have to be the only way to play. He excels at extra movement and out of activation actions.
  5. The turns after the mature is in combat I have had Lucius make it attack twice and then charge after it killed the first target. First Lucius issues comand to the mature then issues to a changeling who in turn issues the mature. 3 ap the issue to the other changeling to make the mature charge. The first Lucius Ap could be used to Focus the mature as well.
  6. So as expected the game went 7-0. I didn't really know what to bring vs Camdus so I brought my standard Lucius crew. My plan going in was to lure the Emissary away from the bubble and kill things with my mature nephilim. He placed models in a way so that plan would have worked. He black jokered putting up the Emissary's aura and Meredith out of his take the hit range as well. Lucius' was able to shoot her twice missing the third. Here I messed up and didn't charge her with my Mature, who had two focus, forgetting he could charge when engaged. That was my last hope of the game. I forgot about Will of Cadmus and didn't save cards to defend very the nests who were able to put a parasite token on Agent 46. By the end of turn two Agent 46 had one wound, his Emissary had 3 wounds, my scribe had 1, and a changeling, mature, my Lawyer were dead. I should have cheated to go first with a 13 but I wanted to use that to get an on your heels tigger on the Emissary. So he went first with the Emissary and ended up WAL to kill Agent 46. Using the 3 models I had left I managed to finally kill the Emissary the he wiped me off the table. Having played vs it I think I could do a little bit better but by no means do I think I could change the outcome of that match. I think a heavy lure/obey crew might be able to do something vs it but that's just a theory. As the game digests a bit more I'll think more about it.
  7. I thought it was great! I nice synopsis told at a good pace.
  8. I am middle of the pack player who has yet to face Cadmus. I've read the forums about it though I tend to take online chat with a grain of salt until I get to experience it myself. Luckily for me I'll be playing Plaag tomorrow so I can face it first hand and see if it is as bad as it is made out to be. It is going to be interesting and I don't expect to do great but I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.
  9. In the old days when we could all hang out in a store together the local Henchman ran a March madness event each year. A $5 buy in, winner gets the pot.
  10. I'm one of the people, my favorite set to put together so far was the wild ones. Playing the game is best, then building, then painting.
  11. My favorite master this edition is Lucius, spend the first part of the turn sculpting your hand then send in the beater to wreck face. There is a ton of out of activation actions which can be great for a lot of schemes. You can do chain orders to get models you opponent didn't think you could give orders to do something. It's great to use your opponent's models or actions against them.
  12. I personally like the theory that the entity in control is the mask and the human body is just its thrall.
  13. When I was first looking at Malifaux it was between Pandora and Lady J. I decide to go with the creepy kids and got a Teddy to go with them. Now I own all the masters except Euripides and have most of the faction. I branched into guild playing a new master each year in my clubs grow league, I also have most of the mercenaries you could hire in 2e so I have a good outcast collection. With Lynch and McCabe losing Guild and Neverborn I also have a good foot in the door for TT. I got Basse so the only Guild master I don't have is Hoffman so I have a quarter of the Explorers too. It's like Wyrd is good at making you buy into everything.
  14. Also using the poltergeist's telekinesis for extra marker removal. I do tend to bring one when i play Pandy.
  15. I like giving the mature 4-6 extra AP to buff him up, get him where he needs to be or having him get more charges or attacks.
  16. I love taking a Mature Nephilim with Lucius
  17. I have used them a couple of times and thought they were decent but I have trouble fitting them into a list. I'll definitely try them again to see if I can make them shine.
  18. You can only target friendly models with the action, if the friendly model has the witch hunter keyword enemies within 2 of the target get burning 1. If the friendly has the cadmus keyword enemies take a duel or get a parasite token. The target and enemies within 2" all suffer 1 damage. If you are playing them with Nexus it gets a bit more complicated as enemies with a parasite token can be counted as friendly so can be targeted by this.
  19. I had my first game using Marcus as leader the other day, it went very well for me. I was playing vs arc Hoffman for their first not playing him guild. My crew: Marcus Thursday (Neverborn) Size: 50 - Pool: 9 Leader: Marcus Totem(s): Jackalope Hires: Bandersnatch Rougarou The Beast Within Angel Eyes Hinamatsu They had: New Charles Hoffman Crew (Arcanists) Size: 50 - Pool: 6 Leader: Charles Hoffman Totem(s): Mechanical Attendant Hires: Joss Howard Langston Soulstone Cache Guardian Magical Training Hunter Mobile Toolkit The game was Public Enemies wedge deployment with Assassinate, leave your mark, spread them out, sabotage, and research mission. We both took LYM and research mission. I had never faced Hoffman before and we got to crew select a few days before the game so I was able to look his keyword over a bit. I had not tried Angel Eyes before and she performed wonderful, armor piercing at 14" with no friendly fire was amazing. Looking at who Hoff could hire I knew I had to keep Hinamatsu away from Joss. What i didn't consider was a fast focused Joss with armor that can't be reduced could be tossed up 10". What saved Hinamatsu was Joss came in with only 1 PT plus the one for charging. So two irreducible hits and a SS with armor 2 later Hinamatsu lived with 3 wounds and I had a Joss in the middle of my crew. Hinamatsu and Angel eyes responded by bringing Joss down to 1 wound. Thus ended turn one. My opponent got initiative by cheating a 13 in response to the 12 I cheated and tried but failed to bring Hinamatsu down with Joss missing with the hit for irreducible and SS the other. Armor 2 and SS made Hinamatsu impossible to kill once I got rid of the irreducible hits. Angel Eyes having disguised save her from having to tangle with Howard who instead tried to finish off Hinamatsu but only got her to one wound. The beast within and the Rougarou were amazing with Formidable horns. Rougarou flipped a 3,5,13 for damage to finish off Howard. The positive on damage with armor piercing on the beast was wonderful half killing Hoff in one punch, first punch was shifted to the attendant. I tried to use the Jackalope as a speed bump on Joss not knowing he could push himself out of engagement. Over all it was a very enjoyable game with our new convert and I'm looking forward to getting more games in with him in the future. On a side note I purchased most of what he can hire over 2020 for all the various FLGS promotions Wyrd ran and love the models. I can't wait to paint them all up and see them on a table in real life.
  20. My first game in 3e was Pandora vs Nekima so take anything said with a grain of salt. Nekima moved up turn one to destroy things turn two and Pandora dropped her to 1 wound with self loathing. The biggest problem with bringing anything big and beaty vs Pandora is having them kill themself with Dora and Candy.
  21. I play Lucius most of my games, most of my lists start with 2 changelings with AP, a lawyer. If there is anything kill related in the SS I'll bring a mature Nephilim with IR. I usually take Agent 46 and/or the doppelganger depending on what is needed. Turn one usually is buffing and moving my big guys, like the mature, 46, or dopple. I love to charge with the mature last activation of turn one and kill something or at least get engaged. With all of the card draw in the crew I often have 2+ severes in my hand by the end of the turn so you can get Obey off if you need to. I am a big fan of hidden sniper though I like it better in guild with Expert Marksman. The trick I have found with him is learning how to sculpt your hand with the cards you drew. So far he is the only master I have taken with no stones and it worked out fine that game. I've played through a first hand dozens of time to figure out how I would react with what I drew.
  22. All of the Drop it triggers on guild are on projectile attacks except the mounted guard. With the pursue ability it would make since to do it to a model who has already activated. Regardless it kind of works like slow where they can use an AP to get rid of it or risk having an executioner pop up next to them.
  23. I've wanted to run Sonnia leading Lady J and Perdita
  24. Lucius Scheme (Neverborn) Size: 50 - Pool: 2 Leader: Lucius Mattheson Totem(s): The Scribe Hires: Doppleganger Mature Nephilim Inhuman Reflexes Changeling Ancient Pact Changeling 2 Ancient Pact Guild Lawyer Agent 46 Was my top list in the app. My activation for turn one is usualy based on what I draw with the end goal to have the mature up field with focus for the last activation. I do a lot of chain actions to help with card draw. If I start with a crap hand but at least one 7 I'll comand the scribe from a changeling getting a new card then one from AP. The Lawyer often goes when an awesome card is on top of the discard for example cheating the RJ for initiative grabbing it back for a 3 of masks. The Doppleganger and Agent 46 are also excellent obey targets, especially from Lucius so you get cards from them. I also like to use high rams for Lucius hidden sniper giving out injured to soften something up often burning a stone for min 4 but that tends to be more when I'm playing guild.
  25. If the game goes good the Mature is the last activation on turn one having walked up the board once or twice with focus and usualy 3 or 4 high cards. He charges into the best thing he can reach. With 2 Ancient Pacts your chance to win initiative is high letting usualy a lawyer start pulling him back in or into a different target. I take IR for blade rush and mobile warrior and he will charge a bunch of times with all the different models to obey or comand him. Blade rush is helpful to get around various tech not being an attack. I find once I get him in with Regen 2, grim feast, combat reflexes, and a two inch reach he is pretty good at staying around.
