  1. But FAQ says about situations when "Marker is placed in base contact with model", not when "Model is placed in base contact with Marker"
  2. Thanks, but my question was about another thing - when the rule says "place the model in base contact with marker" - not about walk or another move?
  3. Faced up a question. We all know that, according to FAQ, markers can't be placed under the model that place it. But how about a situation whem model is placed (not moved or push) in base contact with a marker? According to FAQ, the base contact is "When the bases of two or more models are physically touching". In case of movement it's clear: •Models can move over and stop on Markers. A Marker is ignored for movement purposes (but terrain below the Marker is not). So the question is - can I place the model on top of a marker? P.S. If someone hesitates - I'm speaking about non-impassable markers with a Ht of 0 or similar.
  4. I had a tourney game today and run Pandora against Sommer. While killing Francois, I had an argue with my opponent. I told him that as soon as Dumb Luck count as part of the attack action, I can use damage track from it for a Self Loathing. He opposed me, and the TO took his side. But now I looked through F.A.Q. and found this: 75) If a Trigger on an Action causes damage (whether a flip or a fixed amount), does that count as part of the original Action? Is it modified by effects like the Accuracy Modifier and Focus? Do fixed damage bonuses (such as from Hallucinogens or The Bigger They Are) apply to the Trigger? Triggers that cause damage are a part of the Action which caused them. Any damage flip on such a Trigger would retain any Fate Modifiers to the original flip including Accuracy, Focus, cover, etc. Any fixed damage (such as the +1 damage from The Bigger They Are) only applies to the initial Action (not any resulting Triggers). Doesn't it means I was right? Wording of Self Loathing - for example: (1) Self Loathing (Ca 7M / Rst: Wp / Rg: y3): Select a (1) AP y Action on the target. Apply the printed damage results of the chosen Action to the target, no other effects or Triggers from the chosen Action are applied. The accuracy modifier is determined by the result of this duel.
  5. So you have no arguements against my position except "this is not convincing"? About your "the model's controller" arguement - so what? The upgrade has clear wording "this model flips". If the same wording comes into play - the upgrade works. Not same wording - doesnt come into play. If there were a wording "this model's controller flips" - then it would work in another situations I understand, why you belive in a meaning that matches your needs) but your opponent may have other beliefs) P.S. there are no "this model's controller" reference on Lynch's card.
  6. It's not obvious, since there are models, who have a written wording "this model discards": Sommer, Ma, Francois. So it seems to me that Crier works with them, but not with Old Cranky.
  7. You are mixing th Random Determination as a common term with a specific case of randomizing while shooting into engagement. The exact wording of second thing says: "The Attacker flips one card for each model within 2” of the target model, including the target model itself."
  8. Why not? I don't think that a 1SS upgrade should buff all of his attacks. Pos flips on randomizing and pulse flips would be quite enough for such price.
  9. The action tells simply "flip a card for every model". Compare it with Lightning Jump wording: "this model flips a card" and you'll see the difference.
  10. And, of course, any crew can give Wretches Fast with Aionus)
  11. Most of all, Bloodwretches are used as donors for Doppleganger who copy their Rage Builds, do it for free on 7+ tomes, and double strike someone for cards. I call this pair "card-cycling engine" and use it in most of my crews. The best way it works in Lynch crew, with aces to discard and come back.
  12. I've used it, and found it tottally worth his cost. A summoning of usefull model, without costing AP or usefull cards? I'll take two!
  13. Nice idea. But i'd suggest targeting the student with all of Dopel's attacks - since she has Armour and will only get 1 damage from each one.
  14. Let's imagine that we have model with lure and an enemy model within 18. Between those models stands an enemy Aeslin with activated "Bound And Rooted" - more then 6" away from her friend. The model lures enemy model - how will it work? A) The enemy model will get as closer as possible and stop on the border of 6" aura. B) The enemy model will get as closer as possible and stop within 6" aura. C) The enemy model will go round the 6" aura.
  15. It's not changes to my list - it's a new one. With another tactics and another style of play. I've tested my list against Nelle, and I saw Dora died on 2nd turn - cause of all 12+ were wasted while card sycling. But guess what? While Dora was the firemagnit, other parts of list moved to the center of the field and make me win the game. Just remembering how changeling buried the Brutal Emissary with his own attack makes me smile) As well as Widow Weaver scarying Bishop, Emissar and Phiona to death. And of course - Mr. Tannen, draining the opponent's hand with his awesome aura.
  16. It looks weird to me (since you will take damage for just activating within terrain, without single move - but will not take if someone pull you through it), but ok. And I have one more question - what if the model was within hasardous terrain at the start of a turn, and then was placed at another place, which is also within same terrain?
  17. Hi everyone. Have some questions about Hazardous Terrain. The RB says: Terrain that is considered hazardous deals damage to models that Activate while within it, or enter it (if they are pushed, moved, or placed within the terrain). So situations are: 1) A model starts the turn in hazardous terrain, and is pushed so that it is still in the hazardous terrain. Would it be any damage from terrain? 2) A model starts the turn in hazardous terrain, and is pushed so that it is no longer touching the hazardous terrain. Same question.
  18. Sorrow's 2-ap action is an Attack, while Wisps are restricted to Tactical actions only.
  19. Not sure about Waldgeists. Wisp and Iggy are fine, and I will add to them Doppleganger (a must-have model for nearly every Neverborn master) and Nurse (Ressurectionists model, taken as merc) - the best condition placer ever.
  20. The idea of placing Mature wia From the Shadows and obeying him to charge on first turn is worth trying, but the effect depends from lots of circumstances - especialy deploy flip and your hand on first turn. And of course, you'll not recieve bonuses from drugs. But I can see another combo: If we take Bultungin with warped reality, feed him with drugs for +2 Armor and +2 damage (also with neg to all duels, but this is the separate condition and can be removed with Serena), then hem him with doll, we can push him with Zora (since it's she pushing him, not he declares the action) and discard cards to get a free Savage Mauling attack at the end of each push. So we can trade Zora's activation for 3 2-AP attack with 5|6|8 damage each and a 18" movement, and still have Bultungin's actiavtion to get some more attacks.
  21. The exact scheme is: 1. Bloodwretch: The Rage Builds + strike Huggy. She relents (4 cards cycled: one for attack and 3 for damage) and it gives us 2 damage on Huggy (3-4 divided by Incorporeal) and +2 cards in a hand (1 discarded is an Ace that returns.) 2. Huggy: walk, drop scheme and heal herself 2 wounds with Malifaux Provides upgrade. 3. Dopel: copy The Rage Builds and do it for free (0 ap, needs 7+ tomes) + 2 strikes to Huggy. So we got more card cycling (9 cards total), 2 damage on Huggy (2x2 divided by Incorporeal) and +4 cards in a hand. So we got a 12-cards hand + all the flipped Aces (Disneyland scenario - 16) and 19 cards total cycled. 4. Emissary pushes Beckoner 4" - need any 4+, but on tomes trigger we get +1 card. 5. The Lynch himself activates as the last of the Crew: +2 cards. So yes, making the 19-cards hand is only possible in Disneyland scenario - but average hand size on the Lynch activation is 13-15, which I consider also a great deal)
  22. I'm playing Lynch as Neverborn and there are no such question as "what Limited Upgrade Lynch should take?" Rising Sun offers a huge buff, but only for one model. While Cheating Bastard provides buffs for a whole Crew. So the only thing we need to think is how to use them properly. So I usualy don't use Huggy as a forward line model. Instead of it, she serves as a core of card-drawing engine that allows me to bust my hand up to 19 cards (who said "6-7 damage on Final Debt is enough"?) Other parts of this engine are Bloodwretch (with her tactical that allows "draw2|discard1 on damaging any models" thing with aces to come back discarded) and Doppleganger (with a 0- to copy this action, making it free for trigger and then use it's effort twice). Also while cycling cards such a way, it's preety easy to find all 4 Aces. The other part of a Crew is Hans. While lots of his mechanics based on discarding cards, he becomes awesome with returning Aces. Next one is Mysterious Effigy - not so usefull when Cheating Bastard comes to play, but he can place Scheme Markers and give Lynch some moivement protection. The next player is Mysterious Emissary. This is the best thing Neverborn can offer to Lynch. His Hungry land traps, his conflux action to push models and mostly his ability to summon Changelings makes him an auto-choice for me. Changellings themselves are the best summon you need - since they can copy Hans'es rifle (and shoot from afar while staying in "second-cheating" bubble from Huggy), Huggy's Heed My Voice and even Final Debt (with good masks on a hand, of course). The last, but not the least part is the Lynch itself paired with Beckoner. The "living belle" is mostly used not to spread Brilliance, but to taxi the Lynch to his target - or targets to Lynch. With a free push from Emy and bulit-in pushes in her lure, she can move Lynch 8" outside of his own activation. And it's only one way of using her) The Lynch himself carries Cheating Bastard, Burn Out (an action-free summon with just discarding some cards? gimme two!) and Woke Up with a Hand. With all the card-drawing stuff he is preety sure to have 3 masks on a hand for a full set of Cheating Bastard's buffs. And nealy anyone who ends an activation within 8 of him, will die in pain.
  23. I have a set of questions, based on my thoughts of playing Lilith. 1. If the model is placed touching two hazardous terrain markers - who's choosing the order of damage flips? 2. Does it matters - is the placed model friendly or not? 3. What if the model is placed touching the Hazardous Terrain marker and an aura of Hazardous Terrain, radiating from a model (for example, Jaakuna)?
  24. The exact plan will depend from tons of circumstances: terrain placement, deploy flips, hand drawn and so on)
  25. There is a way to insure your turning into Chompy on turn 1. It's Serena Bowman with thousand faces upgrade. Killing her (which can be combined with card-cycling engine) will give you an out-of-activation 1 ap action. So it's technically possible to summon 3 Daydreams and Alp, turn into Chompy on turn 1 and use good cards that you've saved on his attacks.
