  1. Progress on my Tara stuff for March: Nothing Beast and 3 Void Wretched done. I'm trying to match up all my void themed stuff to the Aionus that I painted a while back. That means that most models will feature some kind of space/nebula effect to represent their connection with Obliteration. These guys were 99.9% airbrushed, and subsequently only required a couple hours to get them all done.
  2. I noticed that the forums are coming up as insecure. Looks like the security cert is expired.
  3. For March I'm painting Tara and crew: Tara (15) Karina (5) Bishop (10) Scion of the Void (8) Carver/Killjoy (12) Nothing Beast (10) Void Wretch x3 (12) So...72 SS?
  4. My to. A pair of Nightmare Tara boxes purchased at different times, but with the same packing sticker. Wyrd fixed it of course, and I'll still do business with them. Same as WGV. What other options are there, really, other than DIY or Wyrd doing more arsenal decks that'll provide me with a ton of cards I already have? Don't want janky, DIY, replacements...WGY is currently the only game in town. Doesn't mean that I won't buy from them, but it does mean that I am playing other games while I wait for my cards. That, in turn, means that even after I get my errata cards I'll be playing less Malifaux because I'm playing other games.
  5. My issue is thus: The game is played with cards. While PDFs can be printed in a pinch, I don't want to play with janky print-outs. I want to play using cards that have correct rules on them. At this point I'm at 30 days from my initial order, and have 2 sets of incorrect cards for my trouble. It makes me very hesitant to go through all this again if the next wave of errata has a similar number of card changes. Obviously this isn't Wyrd's fault, but it is their problem. If I can't get the stuff I need to play from whatever vendor is providing it then my only real choice is to set aside my Malifaux stuff an play some other skirmish games. The thing is I want to play Malifaux because I like a lot more than other games I have armies for. In order to get my full enjoyment out of it I need all the usual high quality components though (i.e.e bitchin cards).
  6. Still time to change my level? I was looking over my unpainted stuff and I think that I can swing Master for this year.
  7. Sign me up for Henchman please. It's too bad terrain doesn't count...
  8. I'm planning on running the following for an event in February: 20 SS Guild HH Crew The Judge + 4 Pool Francisco Ortega (8) Death Marshal (6) Death Marshal (6) (exported from CrewFaux) My thought is to box the two biggest models in the opposing crew then run the Death Marshals to opposite corners of the board. Hopefully The Judge and Francisco can handle whatever is left.
  9. Ashes & Dust is the penultimate interceptor IMO. It's faster than just about any scheme runner out there, certainly is in a heavier weight class than just about any scheme runner, and can scheme run itself. That it's hard to erase is a bonus, plus Dust Storm is no slouch either. A Trapper in vantage point terrain gets an honorable mention due to range and push movement.
  10. I see a lot of folks rave over the utility offered by Sue, but when I examine his card I just don't see it. Someone please tell me what all this utility is about, and what you use him for.
  11. Laz's utility is in that he is firing 3 potential blasts, and at 3 different targets if he so chooses. That give him utility to try for shots at lower DF models with the potential of blasting on to higher DF models. As for the while 20 model thing...going thematic is a stretch here (unless you consider undead and constructs in theme in general). If you wanted to stick with the whole undead construct thing I would put Necropunks and the Iron Zombies on the list. While they have no specific synergies (except with Rusty) they at least have the same look.
  12. No love for Aionus in current tech Tara?
  13. IMO we have some of the most cost effective Enforcers in the game: Johan: Good beater, flurry, condition removal, self heal on top of HtK Friekorps Librarian: Furious casting on a CA attack that can , ranged healing, immunity to , suit stripping Friekorps Trapper: Ok, not an enforcer but very good for holding down sections of the board, especially from vantage point terrain Big Jake: Scheme/Strategy clutch shenanigans that can easily cause gotcha moments All of these at 6 or 7 SS each, and they function perfectly well without any upgrades. I wold say that you might consider adding a couple of these guys to your pool rather than a 10-13 SS model with upgrades. It's a good to pad your model count without giving up too much effectiveness. Personally I'm hard pressed to run an outcast crew without Johan and a Librarian.
