  1. 1. One, and the Doppelganger. Much better than a second BS and you can still pustule up to five times. 2. Illuminated. Give them the Blood Infusion and set the world on fire.
  2. Agree about the first part. Disagree about the second part, though ... It's never as black & white as that.
  3. Yes, Goryo's Driven by Revenge is enemy only, unfortunately ...
  4. Well, I'd pay 14SS for two Goryo, yes. It's not like they ONLY provide Yan with 2 Chi and do nothing else all game ... I think how much Chi you want/need in the first turn is a bit of a design philosophy with Yan Lo. I know lots of people are happy enough to collect Chi along the way and not jump through any hoops. But others, like myself, want him up and running as soon as possible, and maybe even Hunpo Assault first thing in the second turn. For that, you want 3 Chi first turn ...
  5. Since the Goryo hit, it's not really all that card intensive any more. It's just one discard and twice a 6+ for three Chi. I'll take that any day ...
  6. D'oh, yes, completely forgot about that ...
  7. Very impressive, congrats! But how does this work: "... plus nekima and lilith added cards when they killed stuff." ?
  8. Thanks for the overview, looking forward to the rest ...
  9. Yes, but 'never-take' does not mean 'lose automatically'. So that wasn't what was talked about ...
  10. In general, I'd agree that balance is very good (much better than any miniatures game I've ever played in 20+ years), but the above statement I definitely would not sign. There are quite a number of models which will never leave my shelf/case, but I also think that that's a bit much to ask, nothing is ever going to be in perfect equilibrium. And every so ften neglected models get a boost via FAQ or upgrades, so it's not a bad state of affairs. I just think it's not quite fair to tell somebody that there are no never-take models, that's all.
  11. There is only one super weasel.
  12. I find I tend to bring LESS varied lists than GG2016, and therefor I prefer last year's schemes. To me it seems that the focus on interaction heavy scheme has become slightly too strong, and as a result, I have a number of Masters and/or crews that I have difficulty justifying with the pool. Not a big fan.
  13. Yeah, but some you can take even in TT McCabe, so I'm not sure for how much that counts ...
  14. If it's a choice between the Emissary and Sensei Yu, it's the big snake for me all the way! The two pushes plus Fast for a (1) and a (0) is a godsend in the crew, and the free double focus for an ace is also really nice. If the Sensei keeps handing out Fast, he is basically left in the dust. Won't happen to the Emissary.
  15. Right, forgot that he needs to discard for that ... d'oh. So, yeah, again, obvious synergy.
  16. Samurai and Obsidian Oni are excellent with Lynch. Samurai massively fish for aces, and Oni use those aces to heal. Good stuff! Lone Swordsman doesn't really have any synergies with Lynch, but is good nevertheless. Dawn Serpent I'd trade for the Shadow Emissary. An even bigger snake, with lots of goodness for any TT crew!
  17. That's what I was talking about.
  18. Well, you're Irish - I'd assume that's a given ... (Miss the smell of rashers in the mornin' ...)
  19. Guess it depends a lot on your list. Usually I want Ancient Protection asap on my beaters (or on Yan Lo, if I play him), so I wouldn't want to waste time to put it on the Samurai.
  20. What has been said before ... Shadow Emissary is really good with her, Toshiro & Komainu, Monk of LR. Not so much for their direct synergies with Mei, but rather because it's fairly easy to make a well-rounded crew around with TT, I feel.
  21. Thanks for all the reports. Looking forward to a new one.
  22. If you're not planning of wandering into Arcanist territory too much, I'd seriously consider playing her as TT. I find the synergy of TT stuff with the Foundry things she can bring much stronger ...
  23. I'm pretty sure this has been asked befor, but I couldn't find anything on it: If Yan Lo kills a Seishin to gain Chi, and Datsue Ba uses Spirit Beacon so that the Seishin is not killed, will the old man still gain the Chi?
  24. If the gremlins don't have any love for him, Collodi surely does ...
