  1. Woah, I expected this to sell out but not so fast. Can I get added to the reserves too please @Clousseau Cheers
  2. +34 & +35 The Pre and Post UK Nationals Shows The former of these is out, as I have Tim and Josh back on to chat quickly about a couple of tournaments we attended, my time so far with Sandeep and then we look at Nationals and make our predictions (see how wrong we were). The latter will be out next Thursday (24th) where Tim and Josh return. I make an important announcement and then we cover our weekend experiences of the largest Malifaux tournament to ever take place, that and we look back at our predictions (who was least wrong?).
  3. No more his sculpt when he wasn't a master (1.5 book 4 Storm of Shadows) is the same sculpt in Explosive Solutions. I think "vintage" is used because the others are based off of old sculpts, mercenary Misaki, Avatar Hamelin on a 30mm, alt Pandy, Raspi etc.
  4. It's also worth noting I had to remind @NoMoreMrNiceKai this
  5. maybe it was the joke you were making but that model would be exactly the same.
  6. Josh had Ramos and Lilith in his trinity. As said Lucas is on Gremlins. Jamie plays Rezers, think you're confusing him with his team mate Matt Lewin who won best Guild.
  7. I will start by saying what many have already said, thanks to my 7 opponents for great, fun and memorable games. I'll skip being too specific here, that's more for social media I feel. Big shout out to Battlefield Hobbies, the venue was great, clean, spacious, good parking, good store front etc. and the staff were really friendly, welcoming and just a good laugh. Main feedback for @OldManMyke now though. A lot of this will probably just be an echo of what others including yourself have said but... First off, timings were great, I appreciate we did start a little late on Saturday and as you said maybe you underestimated that but I think it's a problem you can afford to have on a two dayer usually, overrunning day 1 isn't screwing much up for anyone. Round times were good, I'm not sure I got 5 turns in most of the time but I think that's a combination of still getting used to Sandeep and also some of the comfort issues. While I'm there, upstairs the mezzanine, got quite uncomfortable. Science is against as it were as heat and the noise all rose to the top making it a bit too warm and a bit too loud. The covers sound like a great fix, heat wise I know there's lots of people and I'm a big lad but like @iamsssk said it also felt there was little space up there, especially in the middle of the rows. I don't want to be a sourpuss as I really enjoyed the event but a third game upstairs in a row started to make me feel not well and that obviously does make the experience worse. My two games downstairs in the main hall were great, enough space (I mean I'd always want more but that's unrealistic), less hot and less loud. I don't want to give problems without solutions but I'm not sure the answer, I would say moving some tables from upstairs to down but I don't know if that just shifts the problem. PA was a good call though as I said after round 1, I can't blame Mike having fun with it but I would appreciate during the rounds it was just calls and not jokes. Again, not trying to be a sourpuss but I imagine it added to Saturday's headache and also is a little intrusive and therefor taking some time away from the games. The score sheets worked and the queueing wasn't too bad (though I guess added to the mezzanine issues), the table number sheets being handed out worked well as a fix too as I never found it an issue to know where to go once that was used. It's a shame however @NoMoreMrNiceKai and Jamie's (forum name?) system didn't get used. It's no secret I love those guys so it may come across bias but the two events I was at when it were used, the "admin" side of things was incredibly smooth. For a quick elaboration at 'In the Hunt' Mark's brother who is not a TO not even a wargamer did all the input with zero problems. That and they have added even more useful things which would save on a lot of issues and time. Lunches worked well, was surprised no drink with them, Saturday that was the main reason I even wanted lunch. Definitely made BFH a few quid there! For the moment though, this is all I can think to say, like most of us who were there I am still quite fried. Really bar some comfort issues upstairs I would change basically nothing and Mike did as good a job as we all know he'll do. Telling us he thought he may not do next year, bloody drama queen Thanks to Jen and Lee also for adding to such a smoothly ran event. And finally thanks to Wyrd for sending @Aaron over. It was great to get to chat in person. Still really hold my chat/interview with him June(?) of last year, top bloke, really just gets it (which probably need elaborating but see: fried) and as I've thought for a while a good pair of hands for Malifaux to be in.
  8. Thanks for the lovely praise. I only really tend to use the UK tournament bit of the forum so always forget to use here to interact (need to set up a Facebook but I don't use it myself). I honestly can't remember if it was Paul or Matt but I've prodded Paul so hopefully we (as I think it must be him) have guessed right and he can answer himself.
  9. Surely you can Errata anything based on rules at least so that's a shoe in.
  10. Just don't put it on the weekend of the 18th as I believe that is when Beachhead is running (show/con down my end) which I will have a Malifaux event and your (and my) main man David Brown will probably be demoing at! Also no problem, hope you had a good time in Belgium, thanks again for a fantastic event, one of the best this year.
  11. Apologies for totally neglecting this thread. The podcast has continued strong, and the latest show was the first to miss my self-enforced deadline (by an hour or 2). We're in the thirties! +31, 32 and 33 Thunders, Guild, Arcanists. These three shows continue the Ripples of fate analysis and discussions. The Thunders show I am joined by two top Thunders players (both currently qualified for UK masters), Guild Paul (from the Thunders show) comes back along with Matt who between them were and are the top Guild player in the UK (the change is partly thanks to Nellie) and lastly (Thursday just gone) I was joined by "MythicFOX" the former best Arcanist and current best Arcanist George to discuss Sandeep and co. +34 will not be a Ripples of Fate show as the next couple will cover pre and post UK Nationals, being the biggest Malifaux tournament in the world the break seems to make sense. However do not fret if you are waiting for Outcasts and Neverborn, I have stuff set up in the pipeline and should hopefully be keeping to the same quality of guests (I need them as I'm clueless).
  12. I've prodded the relevant people and emailed the results across for Zac (who had/has no internet due to moving). Unfortunately the system they used had a button to "email to rankings" but that system has an email for Stephen who used to run it (so a pointless button). I'll poke Kai and Jamie about the incorrect spelling just in case.
  13. In there before someone else. Have these been submitted to @NoMoreMrNiceKai?
  14. An interesting discussion but a little confusing talking about damage profiles or weapon tricks (like the Arc Axe) when speaking of toughness. Joss is up there, as yep, HtK and Armour +2. I'd have to give this a longer think at who I think is the most tough. I will shout out Carlos in relation to Joss. Is armour +2 most of the time but is also Df6 so isn't get hit as often and also is on a bigger base with a bigger engagement range too so can hold up a lot. Also an upgrade for some built in healing too is great. Admittedly no HtK which is a big loss but honestly with the healing would maybe be too much. Plus I'm hoping HtK doesn't come into play recently making these guys Incorporeal with Sandeep (and keeping away from Mark of Shez'uul, Glowing Sabres and the like).
  15. I've sung some small praises on Twitter but well done to James, Mark and George on their placings and thank you very much to Lee and Zac for an absolutely fantastic event. Honestly think the event was as close to perfect as you can get, so impressed with the Bitefaux events and will definitely attempt to make the next. Oh also, Lee get on Twitter damn it!
  16. Venue: The Kings Centre Coppard Gardens Chessington KT9 2GZ It's in the rules pack which, @SurreyLee I'd advise adding to the OP.
  17. pretty sure we just walked to it from the parking by the venue.
  18. Just sent my pool, didn't realise/notice we had to email them in. I've literally packed only my pool so I couldn't change anyway.
  19. Yeah Curry was great last time, and was funny doing the restaurants job of getting people to have extras. Count me in (and Jan)... I'll tell him later.
