  1. You can summon another one, the first one dies. The original one dies.
  2. To each his own, i walked away from it, and i don't miss it. As to the Necrotic Machine i find him to be a great hire, cheap ap, helps with activation control, giving Sybelle black blood the first turn really helps her survivability, and if i take Killjoy nothing is stopping me from summoning another. Sure, it dies, but if it's already given Sybelle black blood and moved thw majority of my crew 4"forward it's already paid for itself.
  3. 3 pts is to expensive, 90% of the time all you will do is give an ap out and then become terrifying. Molly doesn't need terror to work effectively. Remember you can't use the same (0) twice. I replaced it with her totem and saved a point. My firstcmove of the game is to give Black Blood to Madame Sybelle, walk forward, then he pushes the rest crew towards him. Really does wonders to speed up her crew.
  4. If your playing against Ressers or Grenlins look into corpse bloat also. Might as well blow up corpse marker for the nice damage spread and/or burning a resouce they need.
  5. I like running her with one of her limiteds & unnerving aura and necrotic preparation, it really punishes models for targeting her. Combine that with all the pushes and lures she and her crew generate, can make sure she is where she is needed most. If you add in multiple unnerving aura she create a vitual killing field.
  6. I'm down in Houston, but I know for sure that DFW has scene. They have a fairly active Facebook page "DFW Malifaux". There is also 3 days of Malifaux at Space City Con in Houston July 24-26.
  7. July 24th open play and demos all day, Enforcer brawl starting at 700 pm. July 26th henchman hardcore 12 pm, open play and demos til close. All for the price of a ticket!!
  8. I run him w/Molly and find he really shines against other Ressers stripping immunity to horror duels can cripple flesh constructs, and as Molly doesn't use corpses either so using them up for a free heal is nice.

  10. I never take the old man whoop ass stick, and you are correct there is no reason to take the bone ascendant. I spend most of my chi above 3 (which I like to keep at +3 for the ca bonus) on giving my other models armor +2 and Spirit.
  11. I''ve had similar experiences with the old man, but I have used all of his themed models pretty extensively. So while I wasn't losing much or getting beaten badly , I could quite easily see it was his crew, and not him, that was contributing to my success. I even ran him with spare parts (helped make him feel more resser like, plus it gave Toshiro some one to buff.), but what really helped me was cutting his upgrades down to just Reliquary and using what's on his card. I rarely bother using or even gaining his ascendant upgrades beyond Ash, and only consider gaining Spirit if it will still leave me chi and something doesn't need healing. Yan Lo is a toolbox support master, and in my opinion, is better served handing out armor of there, finishing off a minion over there, lightening dance that support piece into Izamu or Toshiro influence sphere, healing a model over here and of course bringing one of the big guys back. A typical Yan Lo list for me in say T.W., S.R., Hh, etc. etc. and that I feel can complete a wide range of schemes would look like this.... Yan Lo 5 ss cache -Reliquary Soul Porter Toshiro -Command the Grave Datsue Ba -Spirit Whispers Izamu Chiaki Komainu Onryo Personally, he's become one of my favorites and I find him pretty rewarding to play, especially since he is considered subpar!
  12. Personally, I like Marcus as Resser. Marcus Hunger cry, Feral instinct, the God's domain Miranda imbued energies Rogue Necromancy 2x Shikome 2x Canine Remains Jackalope 6 ss cache Fast, decent activation, durable ( for Marcus), and can hit hard.

  17. Gunsmiths are really good, and it's really easy to get fast with them any ram spent on defense will give them fast. It's "after resolving" that's win or lose, if you have a ram you get fast. The only thing they struggle against are incorporeal models. They should be on the flanks taking out scheme runners, and scheming when they get a chance. If you want damage take advantage of the experimental trigger and focus. Super easy with fast. Move, focus, shoot.
  18. You guys are definitely not using enough terrain, and way too much and by the looks of the pictures all of it is pushed around the edges of the table. The middle table is just one big killing field. Like your models, they are looking good!
  19. I have based all my Malifaux models the same. In a dry badlands kind've way. I have crews painted and based across all 7 factions. It just makes them all look congruous, especially with all of the cross faction hiring.
