  1. I'll probably be getting everything except the Fistful of Scrip box from this lineup. I hope the Banditos will be good with Victorias, undead cowboys with Tara and the martial artists with Misaki.
  2. Maybe the zombie monster dude has an action where he offers the icecream and it works like Obey, or he can Lure people around corners with his icecream on a tentacle It might be that it doesn't have any deeper relation with the icecream, but that it just exploits the powers of the icecream. I do hope it's Archie. I'm also interested to read its fluff even if it isn't him (her/it).
  3. If you don't like how it's done, you can give me your Guilders after each event
  4. Guild Wallpaper just in! I love the reporter girl in the striped suit (the art appearead a lot before, I think even in TTB stuff).
  5. I disagree that you can get only one scrap. With Alyce, a Large Arachnid and 2 extra abominations (who can damage themselves for extra cards before one of those gets killed by said arachnid and another one sacrifices for Desu Engine, along with the new ones which can also get you free cards) you can get a fairly cheap recycled Desolation Engine on turn one. If you want further scrap on next turns you can bring in the Mechanical Pony who summons little arachnids, but that's too much investment in my opinion and I'd rather get a teddy or an extra henchman bringing along some cheaper wacky constructs. Large arachnid is also a good anchor for his Waifs in my opinion. EDIT: I've read half through the pages when posting this, so sorry if the topic was resolved. I'm also late to chime in. I also think this eratta is a great way to make more people play the game. Leveticuses card is a bit clearar this way and it helps to remove a notoriety from this master in some META-s. So yeah, great. I've played Leveticus twice (first in the 1.5 edition and second in the 2nd edition) and he didn't fare well because of this notoriety. Nobody plays him in my meta and when I tried somehow both games I played turned into 4 player games where I had to play against 2 players at the same time. In the first game I got trampled from two sides and in the second, more recent game I had some luck against Ramos (which only helped neutral Colette to win the game), but I was in turn trampled by Rasputina and her followers of December from the other corner of the table. I guess Leve had notoriety before he was even played in my meta. Now I want to play him normally and I think I'll start using him after the summer (I have to paint and polish more gremlins first).
  6. I hope that pirate Silurid is for his crew. I'm loving the render over the artwork. His mask and boots look very cool on the render and I see how he can have a very cool looking color scheme.
  7. I'm very interested to see the closeup of the little yellow guys.
  8. I bet there's a Burt Reynolds under that bandana.
  9. Just wanted to say that I usually prefer the art and this is the first time I like the render better. Can't wait to see if she's the Oni that has been mentioned. EDIT Lol, some of the dialogue in this thread reminds me I have to turn in a paper for my college that is long overdue.
  10. I really like the expression on her face. I currently have a lot of masters and I haven't planned getting any new ones but this just piqued my interest and I love the current Oni minis from the Malifaux range.
  11. Your miniatures are getting progressively larger through every round. Love what you've done with his head scarf thingy and the stache' is a great touch!
  12. Hey. I just watched the first episode. I really like an atmospheric anime like that. If you're into comic books, I mean also manga and if you also like dark SF, you should check out Blame! (exclamation mark is in the name).
  13. Hey. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm going to check it out right now.
  14. You Desolation Engine looks so awesome. Where do you draw your inspiration from? I'm a bit sorry Leveticus stuff isn't on my to do list at the moment because I have a DesuEngine conversion in my head as well (a different approach). This reminds me a lot of a few different sources of fiction: Dark Souls game, Kingdom Death, demons from Berserk manga and also Angels Egg. Hmm, all the things are fictive stuff from Japan that are trying to portray European fantasy or medival esthetic.
  15. Probably a showgirl, but he'll work well with Kaerises crew.

Great looking OSL, especially for a first time attempt
  17. This short video is mostly about video gaming community, but its points can be shared with issues in this thread.
  18. I wholly agree with this statment. My experiences of sexisms in gaming groups are more prominent with the internet than IRL. I'm following a local RPG group on facebook and I read a couple of topics about sexism in the group members games and there are always people defending their opinion that it's makebelieve and that it's how realism is and how it shouldn't make people uncomfortable. Girl players opinions being a minority in those groups are usually shut down by the sheer amount of "logically opinionated" posts. I predominantly remember the bigoted "it's made up, so it's okay" logic of it all. So I'm a guy if it isn't obvious. Since my late teens I've had my first run ins with nerd subculture in a local SF club and I was delighted to see that there were girl nerds (it was during the 90's, since I'm an 80' kid), the only thing that I found odd, was that there were card games present I remember there weren't any women present. I also remember that I thought card players were like super nerds and weren't as social as other people I met there. My primary gaming poison back then were RPGs, which had some girl players, but not a lot. Later I found out about miniature games through Blood Bowl, Confrontation and 40K (which I gave up after my demo because I was told how I was "supposed" to play it). So I had my spider sense tingling about Warhammer like games and avoided them because I thought that those games were played only by wannabe macho assholes. I only appeared on larger events to look at better painted minis and to be a waiter for my club (different one than the Science Fiction club I mentioned earlier) which was hosting the games. Well as I found out there are ok people playing Warhammer games, but mostly are pushy macho wannabes. And I should add to my last post that I'm probably aware why girls avoid miniature games in my area. One of my friends and the only girl at the club got into Malifaux through the hobby part of the game and I remember she shared the same experience with her Warhammer Fantasy demo as I had with 40K. She was told how she was supposed to play it. I'm not sure if this is sexism, but it's too pushy of a way to get people in the game and even if I'm a guy I was put off by the machismo or however you call it. Anyway, there were always sexist types of players present now that I remember, I've just learned how to avoid them in my games (which were usually RPGs) and for the Malifaux META it seems my henchman almost hand picked the players and rooted out wannabe assholes. I don't know how he did it, but our META is quite pleasant. On to the topic. I'd like to say that most of the male population I've associated in my life aren't aware about other gender, or sexual minorities problems and wouldn't even start to comprehend the problem after their first run in with a micro-sexism and what privilege means because from my experience they usually gloss over it. I'm also aware that most of the guys aren't sexist, but there is some kind of indoctrinated sexism and homophobia hardwired in their heads (as well as my own), for instance how it's hard for ment to cry and speak honestly about their feelings (without it having an every day banter cover up story). In my experiencemost of the sexist and homofobic stereotypes come from peoples upbringing. I think it's a hard journey for most men (even for me on some points) to become aware to sexism, because they aren't brought up to see it from the view point of other gender, or sexual minority. Nowdays it seems it's easier to come into contact with social awareness, but somehow people still find it weird and won't think too much into it. I have a hard time accepting something when I'm told how it is, before I'm able to process it on my own terms and other people are probably like me and are slow to accept facts from a different point of view. But life makes you more aware to other people and if you choose to open up you can talk with almost anyone and share opinions on the same level. It's just that drama happens in between your awareness moments... I think I got myself derailed, sorry for the long post and probably bad English and stumbling through my words. I've tried to write from both opposite ways of tumbling with this topic, I hope I made sense... And as the lunarsol said (I'm paraphrasing): awareness is the key.
  19. Harassment in my gaming area is at minimum and it's mostly gossip based and sometimes people percieve competitive playing as harassment. I don't recall there was any sort of verbal harassment against people of different sex, ethincity, sexual preference, but there are some tensions between diffent game communities (40K & Fantasy Warhammer for the most part) and between communities in different cities. That's all I know about in my META and most of unpleasntness is mostly contained on the internet. I haven't sensed anything remotely antagonistic in my Malifaux community, besides some competitiveness and maybe some ageism (one of the players is jelous of one of the underaged players who gets the best prizes at tournaments). Our henchman is very good at his job at helping solving any difficulties that spring up. Unfortunately the girl gamers in wargaming hobbies is critically low in my META and it seems that there is no more than one girl playing miniature games at one a time. We have one female Malifaux gamer (and zero girl players in other miniature games) and I'm certain the atmosphere would be different for the better if there were more girl players in our community. I really liked Gnomezillas quote about friendly banter involving female players (I'm not going to reqote it, you can read it on the previous page). On the other hand in board game circles and roleplaying games there are much more female gamers, which I ascribe to the wargaming population because most of the girl would be enthusiasts feel like it's a special club. Which is an interesting topic I'll try to look into and ask around.
  20. Very nice and effective contrasts for the pink on your mini.
  21. Face is also very lovely. First beautifully painted Ophelia without makeup I've seen.
  22. Great work with a very subtle and straithghforward theme. It's a masterpiece and it seems as if it's efortless for you.
  23. Better late than never. Congrats Omni & Mason!
