Ok so I wanted to generate some disscussion on crew selection. So every 24-48 hours I will post a scenario for a random game. This is all for theories sake and the post what crew you would take during the hire crews step. You choose the Ressurs. As your faction. Your opponent chooses to go with the arcanists. Your team flips deliver a message. Your opponent flips destroy the evidence. What do you choose? You are the ressurs remember. Keep it as this faction and we will switch tomorrow. Edit: post what scemes you would choose if you do desire to fit the strats needs

I own Seamus's avatar and I don't auto include it unless I am matched up against the arcanists or the guild. I try to bring it because it is cool. But just depends on my strats.

It has to due with humidity moisture and heat in the air. I live In a very humid area and can't use any spray varnish so paint ons are the only option for me

I would say get one hanged an onryo. I'm too tired to think right now but I enjoy models that take away immunity to moral duels. The hanged are to stop healing. Maybe a carrion effigy if he can get in to cause some terror from random scary things.

Sweeet! I didn't know they were looking at a bit of editing. Thanks for the strategy for some play with her. It doesn't seem too many people use her. I didn't realize lelu and Lilitu were better for competitive play. I have playEd a bit of growing and I managed to do fairly well. With the BBS and I sacrificed a desperate Merc and a terror tot or cherub and got lelu out and still managed to get a tot grown with a bit of luck with the cards. Actually a lot of luck having two high masks in my starting hand. I hope she's next up for errata after Gencon

Hmmmmm ok I have lelu and Lilitu now. I just enjoy the model. Is making a grow list a bad thing? I've seen some people think they are cheesy and cheap but I am drawn to it because I enjoy that type of play style. It's like thy level up heh. I was thinking of doing a really mean grow list for some competitive play. Lilith list - Growth for power... At all costs 40 SS Lilith 5ss cache Malifaux cherub - 2ss Black Blood Shaman - 6ss Desperate Merc - 2ss Lelitu - 7ss Nekima - 13ss 3 terror tot nephilim - 9ss All about growth. Sac either the cherub or a terror tot to bring in lelu.

Just wondering what you guys think of her. Is he worth the 13 SS? Does she perform in melee like she should? What kind of strats is she good for what kind of use does she have in aa crew?

You peaked my interest so I looked up "definition of malifaux" and all that came up was mostly wyrd stuff but here is one answer. Malifaux , malifaux meaning , definition of malifaux , what is malifaux - The polar opposite of beastageddon Some examples : After doin all of those complicated and extreme tricks, Ben slipped on a piece of ice in his kitchen and broke both of his arms and legs and suffered minor head trauma. The doctor told him that his situation was almost beyond Malifaux. Now that doesn't make too much sense. This definition makes the word of malifaux out to be similar to the word ironic or situational. I was not satisfied with this so I looked up the word in two parts First the prefix Mali or mal. Which means In Latin bad wrong harsh evil Ill Or abnormal. A similar word, malifide means to be with or in bad faith. Now faux the suffix of the word means fake. Pretty easy one there. So evil fake? Fake evil? Something to that effect. I take the "fake" part as deceptive or an illusion. The citizens of malifaux are drawn in by it's power and allure even though as we all know bad things happen to most who dwell there. The "Mali" part describes the evil and Ill will that has been native to malifaux. Hope this helps!

Holy cow those look awesome! I really like the look of true guy with the big gun and turban. It looks like we're gettin someone who looks like wolverine too! Is tht a friekorps that I see there too? They have so much stuff being released its insane. You guys think balances will be released to reduce SS costs? Like him and ice golem and a few others are just not worth their costs. Especially after this release. Is this normal for a wargame? Overlapping models and some go obsolete? Malifaux is my first and didn't know the trends of others.

Hey let me know of you need help with some future issues. I a graphic designer an I would like to help with the look and layout. I specialize in printed materials such as magazines and books. I know it's not printed but same concept. I tired to start a fanzine about 4 or 5 months ago but we didn't have enough writers and just never got the ball rolling. I'm always looking for fun new projects and I love malifaux so I would love to help out

Bahaha great stuff. Taxation on a product that we have available to us makes too much sense. Sadly there is a social stigma attached to such things (as we have seen) but who knows where a reformation will end up. There is too much money not being made to be Ignored. Let alone the care one medicine can facilitate for so many symptoms. There is some interesting research to be read about all this but that will be for another time and discussion. Anyways thanks for the laugh!

What did you use for the base for the skeletons laying around?

Any of you guys MalifENTS? I am an advocate for green fluffy flowering plants. Seeing if anyone else is. Fun stories from smoking and playing? My buddies and I did a game where we used glass pipe terrain (full of tobacco of course ) we called it the changing glass Forrest for our encounter location. Rules were simple every time a pipe was used it had to be placed back where it was but turned in a random different direction. Made things interesting that's for sure!

I hope I can see what he dOes before Purchase but a card controll master sounds awesome!

I voted lilith as she is The only one I own but I'm going to get the dreamer in about two weeks. If I can find nightmare LCb for a decent enough price

So I need some inspiration for some basing ideas. Here is what I have so far and I am tryin to not do repeats. Seamus and crew are on Victorian bases mcmourning and some dead are on graveyard bases. Other undead I have are on greenstuff bases and some fake earth to look like the ground. My c Hoffman crews are on old watch parts and broken pocket watches and gears I got off eBay. My other guilders are on the ghost town bases. My Lilith crew are on rocks. Collette crew is on wood bases. Viks are on earth bases. I really enjoy makin custom bases from scratch which majority of mmy models are on. Basing is my favorite part of the whole process so I really enjoy the sculpting part of that. I just need new ideas. I am not interested in the orphanage bases or the bayou bases. I plan on gettin the Asian zen bases for kirai. I am gettin Von shill and crew tomorrow but I need ideas. I am getting collodi and the dreamer soon too but like I said I don't like the orphanage bases. Give me something to build! Also I plan on getting Leveticus and I want his crew walking on dead bodies. Where can I find some cheap plastic dead guys to chop up for body parts lying around? I also plan on gettin Ramos and I don't know what to do for him since I have guys wading on scrap already. If you guys want to see some pics of y custom bases let me know. I haven't taken pics because my dudes aren't painted.

Lucius and Hoffman with ryle and a couple guys in between is one of my favorite guild combos. taking lucius as a henchman and bringing Ryle puts you at an 18ss cost but machine puppet and Lucius's command ability can get Ryle to shoot upwards of 8-10 shots a turn (don't have my cards on me.) plus with the applicable triggers/damage flip he can shoot out even more lead than normal. This has been the only time I have found the mechanical attendant useful, take him up the field with Ryle while the two leaders sit back and control. The mechanical attendant can get a few more shots off and take off ryles poo abilities as he gets away from Hoffman. The only problem is finding a ride for Hoffman at this point A gaurdian can really add to the sustainability for Ryle as he goes down a bit quick without him. I had the gaurdian protect Ryle almost the whole game and he got taken out on turn 3 or 4. Ryle then got pummeled but I used Lucius to give himself reactivate killing Ryle. With reactivate on turn 6 Lucius was able to run far enough to get into my opponents deployment zone and win the game for me.

I pressed the wrong button on my phone so there should be one more Vote for Lucius. My favorite combo is choffman with Lucius.

The chihuahua did wracked with pain twice on mcmourning. I only did it once to the chihuahua. But I jut read I did it wrong as magical extension can only be cast once Per turn My main goal is to have enough bps for one flesh construct by the end of turn one then use the leftovers for fast for the rest of the game.

Is the limit of points at two victory points? How by people can sabotage the terrain?

I have recently acquired Dr. Douglas Mcmourning as my next master. Alas I do not know tthe proper order of spells and attacks to the the most amount of BP on turn one. My searc-fu is weak and I couldn't find much on a list for the the most out of yyour canines. I do not want to play Mcmourning as a summer though. I want to collect Bps to use in battle for (+1) passion for his work and other killers spells and bring in a RN later in the game once other bard parts are collected. Any help? Interstingly enough I played a 14ss game and had the zombie chihuahua wracked in pain twice on mcmourning to give him 2 bps. Next Mcmourning wracked with pain on little ddoggie for another bp. After that he dissected the llittle bugger for 3 more bps. This gave me 6 bps once he died and Doug healed up from using melee strike/spell. I didn't get a flesh Construct on turn one but it didn't bother me exude I didn't have the cards anyways. It probably wasn't the best way to go about it either but it was fun messing around (my friend was learning in the process).

I really enjoy running Lucius and Hoffman together. I have had some great encounters With those two and Ryle. I am excited for the wardens and would really like to try this list out soon.
