  1. i'd think so, warhammer websites have been able to do similar to that for years without any issues and we know how rabid GW can be with it's copyrights
  2. so my custom flesh construct/desolation engine would be kosher, my custom rouge necromancy that uses a mageknight mini as the base would not, got it
  3. what if it's something you sculpted, used a wyrd base, base insert, hat, weapon, but the base model is all something sculpted from GS? not that i really play tournaments, but more out of curiosity
  4. haven't used them yet, but I have used the base accessories and like them
  5. i theme fr individual crews, mcmourning has black and white tiles like a lab, necodem has a graveyard, seamus is city, and rasputina is wintery
  6. been looking to eventually make a custom master, based off Lo-Pan, for awhile if they ever did do the 3 kingdoms, it would have to include a Lo-Pan style master.
  7. me and my brother have been playing the soundtrack to Red Dead Redemption in some games
  8. never really understood the whole 'thread necromancy' thing myself, if you got something to post, who care's if it's a few years old. personally, I can't stand Ann Rice, I tried reading Queen of the Damned once, and couldn't get past the first chapter.
  9. at one point, I was considering converting a perdita avatar, using a space marine. she'd have SM power armor, be holding 3 guns bigger than she is, and riding a t-rex with chainsaw hands. basically what she'd be if GW produced Malifaux for the record, in w40k, my main armies are dark eldar and orks
  10. they also have a dept for dealing with arcanists, and technically neverborn through the ortegas guild just are prepaired for anyone, wether they actually are effective or not I guess depends on how the game goes
  11. mostly I just pick crew based on if my opponent is playing tat crew, I just can't get into something like a mcmourning v. mcmourning game. otherwise, not really
  12. my feelings too, there's a couple game sout there that look cool and I'd like to get into, but noone around me plays
  13. Malifaux: McMourning, Rasputina, Necodem Warhammer 40k: Dark Eldar, Orks, in progress (slow) chaos Warhammer Fantasy: Skaven, Vampire Counts BFG: Imperial Fleet Rogue Trader (the RPG FFG put out, not original W40k) DnD (not really a fan of 4th) trying to get into Pathfinder interested in Firestorm Armada and Dystopian Wars, just haven't gotten stared yet
  14. Colette, for about the same reason as Tezla's above Lady Justice, 2 out of 3 of my crews are rezzers Pandora, the last time I played against Pandora, it turned into a game of 'quit hitting yourself'
  15. Sybelle doesn't bother me as much as Sybelle's thong, always figured if I ever get the Seamus box, sculpt a bustle or something on her
  16. most I do is brighten the pic up if it seems kind of dark and hard to make out details
  17. canines: Spot, Cerebus, and Fluffy my stock model flesh construct 'Elton' due to the glasses my custom scuplted flesh construct "Sloth' because he sort of looks like him Punk Zombies Eddie, Nathan and Koji Ice Gamin Larry Curly Moe Silent One is Mute Acolyte is Hoody convict gunslinger is Barry
  18. nice! I'm going a slightly different route with mine, making the razorspine head more decayed, basing it sort of on one of those pictures of dead decaying sea monsters, secifically this one: http://englishrussia.com/2006/08/28/unknown-creature-was-found-by-soldiers/
  19. one of my future projects when I can get time, trying to make my own fan made master and crew based on the thousand thunders, I've seen nice mini's to use, just haven't worked out how to go about the abilities and stats yet
  20. I'm all for a set up where you can make your own master (or at least henchman), since that's something I liked with 40k as well, making up my own commander and all. large army sized games, aside from some of the crews that can end up with alot of models on the table (gremlins, Nicodem), I kind of like it as a small skirmish sized game. (currently trying to talk friends into trying the deathwatch ruleset online for 40k skirmish, games go alot more smoothly without 100's of mini's to move) but I'd be all for some sort of expansion for making your own master/henchman, multipart kits to really make them yours, and alternative sculpts. I'm not sure how a world campaign would work, but I've seen large campaigns for Mordheim, so it's possible, even if you don't do a map of the world so much as of the city, the city itself sounds like a large enough place id like to see some sort of vehicle or mount rules sometime too
  21. nice, I'm trying something similar with a friend's stitched together, my first actual commission
  22. sounds cool, I don't know about legality since I don't play tournaments, but friendly games I don't think people would complain long as they know what he's supposed to be
  23. Usually how i've done it for years, 2nd hand through ebay, alternate models, and conversions. there's more companies out too that offer lines similar to GW, just with names like 'space soldier' or 'dwarf berzerker' for cheaper. I did at one point consider getting some of Mantic's zombies to bulk out my VC army, but wasn't sure the scale and all and wanted to check out pulp city, but none of the local stores carry it, plus I'm really the only one in my gaming group into superhero genres.
