  1. nice, haven't been able to do much myself yet, with mandatory overtime at work and babysitting housemate's ancient sickly canine remain unfortunatly
  2. there's some elements of each game I play I like, alot of it is setting and visuals, part of why i mostly left card games for miniture games for me is the visuals, I like seeing a battlefield and feeling more like I'm comanding around troops (even if it's in miniature) more than i like feeling like i'm pushing cards around a table. but aside from that, every game I play has it's things that appeals to me, Malifaux is smaller scale, skirmished base, interesting mechanic with flipping cards, and (usually) fast paced. Warhammer/w40k are good if you have a weekend clear for just masses of units, in large scale wars, alot of customization both of the individual mini's, and how they play (wargear, phsycic powers, etc.) Battletech is scaleable, you can play it as a small board game, to a huge scale war, Mageknight back in the day I liked how all the stats were in the base, and the players made the history of the world through the games they played (their library on the site for getting all the background was a headache though)
  3. they look alot thinner, though i think it's more the fact they can look thinner with the plastic and all. but otherwise they don't look too much different in style, maybe a little less maniacle looking, but still not bad. there's a couple I don't like, but there's been a couple of the older waves I wasn't a huge fan of too, hence why I convert or make different ones
  4. i've played a couple times, Halflingspy has it at his place. it's a pretty good game
  5. i actually like Molly, I've paired her with McM, Seamus and actualy had a couple successes on occasion using her by herself in smaller games
  6. so far i've only played a couple of Halflingspy's tournaments, just having a time limit seems fine enough without adding or taking away rules
  7. if we have 6 months like what was mentioned, that's a good time frame for me, I can get something done in that time
  8. considered getting a small Khador force, doubt i'd expand it too much past the small force like I have malifaux and the warhammers though
  9. this time of year, trying to get a game in alone is tough, let alone getting a large group of people for it
  10. Webmonkey Mako Cloudfang Edonil Mister Monkey Jack Minky Footman
  11. my 2nd flesh construct, 'Sloth' is sculpted (aside from his mechanicle arm i took from a cheap grocery store vending machine model), my rouge necromancy is at least 30% scuplted, the rest's conversion. 2 of my seinshin are sculpted. my soulstone miner is 90% scupted greenstuff (the digging claws are from an old MK mini) and I have an abortive attempt at partially sculpting/partially converting a shikome, the end result looked like Dolly Parton beat in the face with a vat of acid, and less like a shikome oh hey, I need to read the whole thready before posting, it's a sculpting chalenge now? i need to think of an idea then
  12. wfb, still have a skaven and vampire counts army, just dont get to play as often. 40k next, still into it, don't get to play as often as I'd like, mageknight before it was retired. short stint with heroclix, now i mostly just collect them rather than play, got into malifaux because i like steampunk, i like zombies, and i don't (usually) need to plan months in advance to get a game in. just recently beginning to get into battletech, as well as considering a small khador force with warmachine there's really no 1 game only for me, i like variety, and not one for quitting a game unless there's noone else around me playing it, and even then I just put my forces in temporary retirement until finding new players. having said that, I'd kill for a decent fast paced squad based 40k ruleset I could use my armies for, other than killteam
  13. i'd be a resser, stitching together random bodyparts, combining zombies with machinery, and sending them out to do whatever. reanimated zombies with gatling guns for arms mostly for the laughs
  14. I want to play a resser character based off the one I roleplay in a few 2nd life communities, sort of a steampunk Charles Dexter Ward
  15. looks good and that's the same reasoning why my madam sybelle has a bustle, didn't want to paint that behind
  16. actually was starting work on a custom nemo crew, waiting for the east indian minion's model to come out to convert into Nemo (verne did say he imagined nemo as being east indian , it's not just a LoEG thing) and some ideas for a crew combining lovecraftian stuff, big daddy's, mechanical crabs, something like the cursed member's of Davey Jone's crew from the 2nd and 3rd pirates movies, and a krakenmermaid course I'm on hiatus from any miniture projects until I secure a new place and move first
  17. I'd buy one, and I don't even play outcasts!
  18. yeah, access points with unclimbables make sense, I just wouldn't want a game where everyone can run up walls like Spiderman, but a few ladders giving you access to a roof is a.ok
  19. my take's what would make sense, if you have a roman style column that's as tall as a pringles can, then no, unless there was a ladder. same with sheer cliff faces, sides of buildings, etc.
  20. i like the added goggles, and regular raspy's base the transparency i don't know, it doesn't look like her top is transparent as much as like she has 2 circles on her chest for some reason to me. the detail on the cloak's nice though
  21. I like the hat personally, but looking at the model, it shouldn't be too difficult to remove the hat and rebuild the hair with GS
  22. yeah, I had the first volume of Empowered, that was sadly ruined when my basement flooded. I've liked just about anything Grant Morrison's written as far as comics, so might have to check out his superman work then. and I was a big Gen13 fan in high school, then kind of stopped reading after they nuked everyone, since I thought the series was over, and years later saw the issue that took place after, flipped through, and couldn't figure out why fairchild was still alive, apparantly a teacher, and had no mention of everyone getting nuked ---------- Post added at 09:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:53 PM ---------- Matter Eater Lad
