I think he was just saying that your opponent potentially has a much better hand, so when you both trade in for nothing, you end up with the better deal! I find bigger hat amazing to counter summoners or masters that have to discard cards for their abilities. (Helloooo dreamer.)

Awesome news! Yes - the USA would most definitely need regions - being the size of Europe with little intermixing of metas. How do we go about moving forward? You want a list of admins for each region?

A car full of New Yorkers are planning to come down for this as well.

That's a great change - I will give it a try. This all came about because I had a player join late, so needed to replace the 'ringer' with an actual player and give him a loss. Ended up needing to dump it to Excel mid-round and recalc by hand. :'(- 34 replies

Really odd bug - I have a player that shouldnt have a bye round two showing up with one. (I have an even number of players) No idea how this happened or if it will screw up when I generate round 3... Tournafaux bug by andrewweakland, on Flickr- 34 replies

Events as small as 40SS can still work - any smaller and it can be a bit nutty. I for one do like seeing different size events on the calendar.- 113 replies

Everyone has been bugging me about what the Strats and Schemes will be. Staying mum is part of the fun, but I will drop a hint to forum lurkers. Every GG2016 Deployment Type and Scheme will be played at least once... so be ready for anything!- 20 replies

... So you are saying you can tell someones sexual orientation by looking at them? I don't understand how a 28mm miniature is supposed to convey sexual identification without falling back on tropes and stereotypes that I'm sure we'd all rather avoid.

I've been informed that hotel prices have gone up in the last few weeks. I told you to book early! Regardless, if anyone else is looking to split room costs with anyone, let me know and I can play matchmaker. Also, only a half-dozen tickets left, so if you haven't committed yet, better do so quick!- 20 replies

Climbable and Impassable walls and charging
Guy in Suit replied to thecapopriest's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
This is why I stick by my rule of thumb - if a piece of terrain isn't large enough to put a model on top - don't make it climbable! I generally apply this to everything Ht1 as well. -

Sure, sounds fun. Crossroads 7 may be declared as a 'faction' and change their faction selection each round if they are the only models used at the event, in the same manner as the UK masters. I'll update the main page when I get a chance.- 20 replies

Adepticon Warmup Tourney in NYC - 3/19/2015

Edited to reflect the noon start time and the fact that the new prize kits have arrived! See y'all tomorrow! -
But the meaningless chatter is a waste of my time, and wasting time is definitely unsporting.
-
Asking is just as obnoxious as falsely telling. "Do you have X scheme?" Why would anyone answer that question?
-
I found that sort of cross talk about VPs annoying and consider it unsporting, as you are clearly trying to distract your opponent and put them on tilt. Not as bad as telling them how you want to &^%$ their mother, but equally as useless and as unlikely to be true.
