  4. Tattoos are amazing in my eyes. I have eight. One on the back of my hand, one on my chest, two on my leg, one on my left forearm and the start of a sleeve on my right arm. The sleeve is Alice In Wonderland. If anyone is interested I'll post pics. =]
  5. Well, I've had my Young Nephilim blister sitting at our local game store for a while now and I finally picked them up today! Goodbye days of proxy, and hello awesome models!
  6. McMourning sipped his coffee gingerly. He grimaced at the taste and shot a glance at Sebastian, who was grinning sheepishly up at him. He sighed. Better to not hurt the oaf's feelings, he was all too sensitive. He forced a smile. "Not...a bad...brew today, Sebastian." The morgue assistant's grin grew wider, as impossible as that seemed, and he shambled off to continue his work, apparently pleased with the way the evening was progressing. McMourning yawned and cracked his knuckles. Genious knew no such thing as bedtime it seemed. He strode over to the lab table in the center of the room. The corpse of a young man lay upon it, not yet three days dead. He was in suprisingly good condition, at least as a corpse in Malifaux went. He was missing both arms, and one leg was seemingly chewed off at the knee. Neverborn work. It was surprising there was anything left of the man. He would have to remember to compliment Sebastian on the find. Scratch that. The morgue assistant's heart would probably implode at such praise. There was a loud whirring noise as the assistant started up his bone saw. "Which one, Master?" McMourning pointed to the corpse of a large Nephilim hanging from hook on one wall. "That one, left arm I think. Oh, this will be brilliant!" With the sickenly satisfying sound of saw on flesh and bone, the arm was removed from it's previous owner. Sebastian lugged it over to the doctor, who beckoned him to place it on the table. "Isn't it much to large for his body, Master?" "Oh ye of little faith, Sebastian. Trust me in this one, it will be marvelous!" Without a second glance the doctor began his craft, lost in the glory of his scheme. If this would work, the fusing of human and Neverborn tissue, he would be breaking the boundaries of his science! What a thrill! He worked for hours. After the left arm he added one wing, attached to the right shoulder with the help of some ligament and tissue taken from some other poor soul. He attached the leg of some young lady, who he was sure would not miss it. The final arm was one of a miner who had thought to test McMourning's good graces, and was removed personally, the man whom it was attached to screaming in agony the whole while. McMourning shuddered with glee. What a blessing it is to enjoy one's work. Soon, with the addition of one horn implanted in the middle of the forehead (one can't forget the novelties), McMourning's creation was assembled. Now for the key element. Life. McMourning walked around his creation, attaching the electrodes as he went. Finally, he walked over to his desk, on which sat a large and dusty tome. He gently turned the pages until he found the passage he was looking for. He turned to Sebastian. "Ready my assistant? It is time to witness my newest breakthrough!" "Yes, Master!" McMourning began to chant aloud, reading from his book. As the words flowed from his mouth a sickly green glow began to fill the room. As his words echoed off of the walls the glow grew stronger and stronger until all of a sudden it vanished, and the corpse rose off of the table, glowing the same sickly green. "Now, Sebastian! Throw the switch!" Sebastian obliged, and pulled the heavy handle of the switch into place. Bright blue pulses of electricity crackled down the wires into the grotesque creature floating above the table. McMourning let out a cackle and threw his hands into the air. "Yes, yes! It's working, it's working! Enough!" Sebastian pulled the switch back into position. Suddenly all was quiet. The creature was back upon the table, and the eerie glow vanished, as if it never was. McMourning strode over to the table, and looked upon his new creation as a father looks upon a newborn child. "Awake, my pet. Welcome to the world of the living." The monstrosity opened it's eyes. A spark of intelligence crackling inside the blank stare, and slowly, it sat up. McMourning couldn't help himself as he let out another cackle. "Sebastian, come see the newest addition to our family!" Sebastian sidled over, giggling moronically. He looked up at the doctor. "What is his name, Master?" "He is named Michael, after the Archangel. Isn't he beautiful?" "Yes, Master. The purtiest." The doctor looked once more upon his creature. "Sleep now, Michael, for in the morning it will be time to release you upon the world, and let others marvel in your beauty." The creature seemed to have no complaints and laid back upon the table, instantly asleep, it's chest rising and falling slowly. "Come Sebastian." McMourning led his dim-witted assistant out the door, turning once more to look upon the sleeping creature before he turned out the lights. As he strode down the path from his lab the sun was beginning to rise over the city. He yawned and streched his arms. Today was going to be quite eventful. He smiled to himself as he climbed down the shaft into the city's sewer system. It really was a blessing to enjoy one's work.
  7. Yeah it usually is, but the idea for a scenery section sems to be a good one, I'd be down for it.
  8. I played with nothing but the Lilith box set for quite awhile, and I can tell you, the sight of it made my gaming buddies sweat. Just because it had less soul stones didn't make it under-powered. Heck, those extra soul stones I gained were extremely worth it. But hey, I love my Nephilims!
  9. Thanks a bunch Sketch, now I know when I run her against my roommate and his pesky Ramos list... Darn Arcanists...
  10. I do have a quick queston while on this subject. Pacify/Incite state that the target model activates last/first depending on what is cast. But what if two or more models have Pacify/Incite acitive on them? Who would go first/last in that instance? Does anyone know?
  11. True, but I use a Lilth army for my scraps and since Kade is Neverborn, he can be fielded in any Neverborn Crew. I use Lilith, as she excels at beatstickery (so does Mr.Teddy) and I just make sure to field both Kade and Teddy if I want to make use of the ability. If not, the Teddy is a great addition to any Neverborn Crew. Also, beware running Teddy in a Pandora Crew, because if he is within 12 inches of her he loses his Immune to Influence ability, which can be quite the weapon.
  12. Thank you Nathan! I just hope I can get more people to read it!
  13. I understand fully.Just don't stop the presses!

  15. I've done my share of growing Nephilims and believe me sometimes it can be harder than it seems. If you don't get the right cards at the right times it can be a horrible ruin to a what seemed a seamless plan. But in brawls I love popping Matures up out of 3 ss cost models!
  16. "It's a perfect evening," the young woman said to herself as she strode along the lamp-lit cobblestone street. She soaked in the warm, orange light of the gas lamps and took a deep breath. It was a perfect evening indeed. Tucked under the young woman's arm was a worn wooden box, quaintly adorned, much like an old music box. She cradled it as gently as a newborn as she walked into a poorly lit alleyway. Here, she stopped. She looked over the low walls to see many shack-like houses, candles burning in the windowsills. It was the people, not the houses, that she was here to see though. Men, exhausted from the grueling labor in the mines, smoking their pipes by the fireplaces. Women, bustling in the kitchens, cleaning up after dinner, or putting the sweet little ones to bed. And of course, the children, dreaming their sweet fantasies in their warm blankets. It was time. The woman set down the box, and oh so gingerly tipped the lid. The box opened. With a burst of light, green, smoke-like tendrils shot from the box, twirling in the air in what seemed like a dance. The tendrils split, and shot out, into the little houses. Almost as if it were timed, an orchestra of screams rose from that small street, music to the woman's ears. Inside the small dwellings, nightmares were coming to life. Goblins and ghosts, monsters and terrors, all from the very hearts and minds of the people they were terrorizing. They tore flesh from bone, and ripped soul from body. They bit, clawed, stabbed and shrieked, bathing everything in a shower of blood. As the screams started to die and fade away the young woman closed her little box of nightmares. She smiled to herself as she strolled out onto the main street, once more bathed in the dull orange glow of the lamps. She could already see in her mind's eye the headlines the next morning. "Chaos Consumes Downtown! Pandora Strikes Again!" She giggled to herself. Terrorizing humans has always been such fun! She slipped into the shadows, disappearing, becoming part of the night. It really was a perfect evening.
  17. Gamer. Gamer. Gamer. I paint only if forced at gunpoint. I like to build the models, and I do enjoy it when my models are painted, but I'm here to game. And that is exactly what I do!
  18. I guess I should have done this about 8 posts ago, but hi! I'm James and I'm a Malifaux player from New Mexico! I'm mostly a Neverborn player, but I like to dabble with every army. Please stop by my profile page and drop me a line.
  19. I liked it so much, you have inspired me to take a crack at it.
  20. Well Happy Birthday papasmrf667! Hope it's a good one.

  21. So looking forward to it as well. I was surprised at first when I realized he was the only Master without a starting crew, but then I realized that most of those models had not yet been released. I'll just have to hold my breath like everyone else.
  22. Let me say that I completely agree with Snuggler on this. Lilith's Crew is a face-biter, if you include the fact that Young Nephilim's can come into play. Baby Kade, I have found, makes a great addition. He causes some pain, and once the Teddy comes out, I'll be running both with Lilith.
