  1. Thanks for the posts guys. I'm going to try Pandora in some upcoming games with Teddy and the rider as some beef to her list. In my game I lost 2 of 3 sorrows in 2 turns and lost baby kade as well. At that point I messed up my opponent somewhat with the whole falls back spell effect which seems to be one of the best weapons Pandora has right now.
  2. To one and all if your in the Garden City, MI area stop by Pandemonium on Thursday evening and you will get your demo or game in. Pandemonium's website is www.pandemonium-online.com Hope to see some new faces there next week!
  3. Yeah I would love to see Leveticus vs on of your resurectionist. Maybe we could make that match up soon.
  4. Variety would be the best way to net new gamers. While a terrain building contest is great it is another Art aspect of the hobby. Some other contests/prizes which would be great are as follows: -Leagues with some sort of League acknowledging patch, pin, certificate or trophy -Tournament support kits with medals, certificates etc -Large venue leagues and tournaments which happen at big places like GenCon etc with special minis available for participants and a special trophy for top 3. -Demo door prizes for people to give out when doing demos
  5. Welcome to Malifaux! One good thing to help kick start you community is to put up fliers, and do demos. You local game store can help you with the advertising many times by letting you hang flyers and spreading the word when your not around. You could also start gaming groups and websites. Those are helpful in scheduling events and building the community atmosphere for your area.
  6. Zee can you get anyone local to demo there? That would at least give some exsposure to the game and maybe make it possible to do more for next year.
  7. Go for the regular competition of locals if you can. Then you can have some kind of store credit for the comp and everyone can donate their piece to the store and hook it up for game play. Many of our clubs provide terrain to our local stores and it works out really well. Terrain building is something I never did much of before but am becoming way more interested in now.
  8. I'm thinking cult of December and Perditas for demos and I will probably play Pandora, Viktorias, and Teeth the most when not demoing.
  9. Anytime you need help running demos, etc. Let me know.
  10. Hoping to get on a regular schedule were I can stop by at least once a month for Malifaux. See you there.
  11. Is it possible to give gamers or FLGS access to the bonus model if they send in a reciept of a $100 order? Just and idea, one I bet the FLGS would like to support.
  12. Wow we have a diverse bunch good to see. Hopefully I will be seeing many more lists and ideas about the various factions in new posts soon.
  13. Seems like the big advantages for Teeth are movement and harassing tactics. You should always keep in mind you goals and use your models to lure and harass the enemy. Make sure your sacrifices are for your end goal and not to just keep the enemy busy. Don't let them intimidate you into a loss you are not controlling.
  14. Also around Christmas time you can pick up tons of terrain for cheap at the after Christmas sales. Especially useful are things like ponds, walls, fences which will often be perfect scale and already be painted.
  15. To Angus' point, just give us a place to contribute articles to and I'm thinking you could get a first issue up and running in no time. On a related note, are there any podcasts for Malifaux? I would like to hear or participate in one of those as well. Cheers!
  16. Sounds like a good primer. This will be a good link to send out to help people better understand the basics of the game.
  17. :mali+fate :mali+fate :mali+fate :mali+fate 4 plus fates for you for such awesome icons.
  18. I'm excited for my LGS to get some Malifaux in. Hopefully they will stock a lot of it initially. Cheers to you on that beer Magno! And cheers to Wyrd for such a great game!
  19. Nice. Did you use terrain? If so what type of terrain did you use? I'm considering building some swamp style terrain. Thanks for the battle report.
  20. Good report. Hope to see more in the future.
  21. Thanks for the ref sheet. This will come in handy. I'll tell the local gaming group about it. This should be really helpful for Demos too!
  22. Wow sounds great. I can't wait till I see him on the table! Hopefully in two weeks my store will get a restock! : )

  24. I'm glad to see that its not just my FLGS that is out of stock. I hope all the crew at Wyrd are recovered from the flu. Look forward to seeing the product on the store shelves!
  25. I rearing to go. As soon as I can get my hands on some more miniatures. I'll be ready to demo till the sun don't shine!
