  1. Re: The rubber sheet of cobblestones: I bought nearly this exact roll at Michael's after Christmas for like $10 USD. I go there after Easter, Halloween and Christmas for deals on all sorts of stuff you can use for terrain.
  2. Looks really good! I also have a comment - it looks as though the grey scatter material you dropped has been applied a natural, with no paint or wash. At the scales we play with, most materials dont look quite right without an application of something. I recommend at least washing them with a grey wash and then dry brushing with light grey if you like the color. Just a picky recommendation, but otherwise looks good!
  3. I have a clear water effects that I plan on applying to the top of the painted water areas, which will gloss them up nicely. However, I kept them reasonably small so that a decent sized house or other terrain feature could cover them as needed. Im not a fan of boards with fixed terrain that dont make themselves flexible. Besides, I have swamp pieces as scatter terrain, so in a pinch I can add more
  4. The three pieces of terrain were shot this morning around 10am in the shade The colors are a bit muted as a result but still look good.
  5. Fixed Huge thanks to Lazlo for the fire tutorial: http://hot-lead.org/advance/fire_theory.htm
  6. I had a friend make this custom 3'x3' board for me. It's double sided and I just havent touched the back side yet. I added some murals of abstract hills and trees in the distance to the edge. It turned out blue Its ok, I like abstract, and it looks really good in person. I entitled this one, "It's so inviting here!" Silly Miranda. So, how badly do you have to go? I know theyre not Malifaux (well, Perdita is...this is from my Legends of the Old West posse)... This is one dinner invitation you don't want to decline.
  7. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to buy the Malifaux bag online? Im looking for places with reasonable shipping to the US and sells for a discount...
  8. Even though the race ends today, still I will reveal no spoilers: This was the saddest and most exciting TdF Ive seen in years.
  9. Got ya People who write inside jokes should let the rest of us know so we dont blast said poster unknowingly I use washes for everything. My favorite is Gryphonne Sepia. However, as mentioned, this time around Im experimenting with a washless format. I still think yours looks crisper than mine will. Kealios
  10. You know, a lot of professionals paint their models entirely WITHOUT washes, for that clean, blended approach. Laughing at someone because they chose not to use washes on such amazing models is just silly. I also say this because I am trying a wash-less method this time around on my newest Guild crew, and looking forward to it...
  11. Question: "Paired Executioner Claws" counts as a Paired weapon? I know it might be a silly question, but I have learned that evocative or descriptive names arent always the same a game mechanics. The reason I ask is in Book 2, many models with Paired weapons have it listed as an Abilitity, aka "Weapon, Paired Executioner Claws: Paired". Thanks for clearing this up.
  12. Any verification on this? Im just beginning to play again, and these models really caught my eye. I am now interested
  13. Yea I was gunna mention that...no Companion for Rattler Also, you said the first time the Rattler swung at the Construct it did nothing, due to Hard to Wound 2. You know you'll still do at LEAST minimum damage if you hit something...and even Armor 2 would still allow minimum of 1 damage...
  14. My biggest problem is the range of Pandy's spells. 12" Dementia, 10" PE, and 8" Self Loathing. Ick. Getting her that close without being scathed is risky. It also requires her supporting cast of Doppleganger/Totem/Sorrow to be close too...
  15. Very descriptive. I love storybook fights - terrain set up in a pleasing manner, and evocative fights that lend so much more to the game than just Meet and Greet...which in and of themselves not bad, but this one just sounds fun!
