DaRedWun
Okay, I can't believe no one has brought this up: Von Schill is both the Prussian Mercenary AND Terry "Hulk Hogan". He even has an upgrade called 'The shirt comes off' for when he hulks out. Another one I can think of is Anna Lovelace, being a reference to Ada Lovelace, one of the first programmers of the world.

Morgs
The Ortega siblings remind me of the Corleone siblings from the Godfather. Francisco (Refuses leadership) - Frederico 'Fredo' (Unfit for leadership) Santiago - Santino 'Sonny' (Both have hot, violent tempers) Perdita - Michael/Connie combo (Coolheaded and in charge) Hoffman has his name because he is HoffMan, HoffMachine :^) Shenlong is a dragon god Big Jake is 'Big Jake' McCandless (Great film, you should watch if you haven't) The Lone Marshal is The Lone Ranger (As it I really need to state that)
Old Man Gloom
Stitched Togethers - based off of Tim Burton's character Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. Waldgeist - forest spirt from Norse mythology.
Bengt
The word "Waldgeist" is German and while there are various Norse/Scandinavian forest spirits they don't have similar names (as the languages are not that similar). Furthermore German folklore has something called Waldgeist so I would assume it's taken from that.
JurisprudentiallyYours
Tuco and Angel Eyes are characters from the Good, the Bad, & the Ugly. I look forward to the release of Blondie.

Although Angel Eyes looks nothing like her namesake, and he is my favorite character
goth
Lady Ligeia was mentioned - immediately saw that one... and Wendigo was mentioned (the short story The Wendigo by Algernon Blackwood is one of my favorites)... One that was not mentioned is Johan/Johanna being John Henry from American folklore, who was famous for hammering railroad ties. Stitched Together is obviously Mr. Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. The Alps could be a humorous misnomer, since they're so small and cheap compared the the massive Swiss mountain range. Coryphee is a position in a ballet company (better than average/entry level dancer) McTavish... Crocodile Dundee? McTavish was one of the dwarves in LoTR fantasy, originally of Scottish fame. But one thing I've found interesting about Malifaux - is how it corresponds loosely to League of Legends. Hear me out, first, when telling my brother about this game, I told him that compared to other tabletop miniatures wargames, this was much more like League of Legends - where you have a small crew of individuals each with a set of abilities - and the whole time you try to achieve objectives where combat can sometimes be secondary. Here's a list of corresponding, similar personas, which would make hilarious paint-scheme crossovers: Alistar is the bull emissary. Annie is Candy, Teddy is Teddy. Brand is an adult Iggy. Cho'gath is Lord Chompy Bits. Fiddlesticks is The Carver. Heimerdinger is Ramos. Jax and the Widow Weaver have the same face. Karthus is Collodi. Kayle is Kaeris. Morgana is Lilith. Nidalee is Myranda. Nocturne is a Sorrow. Orianna is a Mannequin. Rammus is Turtle Izamu. Shaco is a Marrionette. Singed is the Firestarter (Kaeris model with flamethrower?). Twisted Fate is Jack Daw\Jacob Lynch (whichever has the cards). Udyr is Marcus. Urgot is Howard Langston (this is actually where I figured they got the idea from and started my noticing the similarities). Yorick is the Grave Digger. Zilean is obviously Aionus (or at least they're both OBVIOUSLY Father Time). If you look up wallpapers or artwork for these League of Legends champions, I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
