  1. I would say paying that whalloping 12 points for Hannah is not really worth it when usually just Lilith + Primordial magic already lets you draw 8 cards and keep 6, which is good enough to ensure a decent hand without sinking too many points into it. Now, one issue you might find is: Nekima is really, really powerful. She will get bogged down, focused, rushed and whatever the hell else your oponent can do to keep her from mulching their stuff, which she will if she has the chance. I often run models like the Black Blood Shaman and Mister Graves with Nekima, as supports for her. The shaman can heal and add some ping damage if you are surrounded or fail to kill an enemy by only just. And Graves can potentially allow for silly yet awesome first turn charges (Dangerous, but might work if you do it at the tail end of the turn and then get initiative next.) What I am saying is: when you take Nekima you end up building your list more around her than Lilith, which might be cool, but is something to keep in mind.
  2. Just one thing: Please make this compatible with Malifaux. If only so we can put all these chars with giant swords in an arena and go "Let them fight!"
  3. Okay, one thing to consider is what is your playstyle. I had a similar issue when I started the game, as I picked Lilith for a very aggressive, melee focused game. The thing going is, Lilith is aggressive but not insanely so. She is fun and her nephilim are awesome, but I had to learn how to use her properly. On he other hand... I picked up the Viks recently and I love how they play. Much violence, such damage. They're not my favorite masters but I like how instinctive they feel for someone who likes to play aggressive like me. What I am trying to say is that you should go with your heart: if you like collodi, go for it even though it might be hard at first, it can be very rewarding to master something and you will be very proud of you self when you realize how much you've evolved. Either that or pic a crew that doesn't look the way you like but plays the way you like. You will end up having a ball anyways.
  4. Point in case. English is not my first language so I sometimes forget those minutiae.
  5. The way I see it, it's a simple divide: Freikorspmen have better sinergy with their crew, Ronin stand on their own better. Yes, the Korpsmen are more accurate, but the Ronin can strike more times, and they hit harder (although I doubt anyone takes that shooting action with them). Comparing the two is like comparing aples to oranges in that they just have the same shape but taste completely different. As it was said before, you should look at the table and the enemy. Freikorpsmen will do well against crews with lots of blasts, while ronin will help against armor. It's all about sinergy in the end.
  6. Okay, just to add in something that has been said but is not obvious: Lynch is fragile as all hell. Models like Mr Graves (I love his sculpt), Barbaros and Teddy are wonderful because they make your oponent not look at Lynch and it helps keeping him alive, specially because if Lynch dies all the buffs he's giving to Huggy are probably going to go too. I would say picking up the Lynch Box and the Lilith Box are probably the best bang for you buck right off the bat, then you can go Graves and/or Teddy depending on what you like. Also, Tannen and Graves form a pretty neat combo, since Graves allows Tannen to keep his manipulative status even after he's activated.
  7. This happened on my last game: Playing the Viks for the fist time against a friend playing Lynch for the second time the strategy was Turf War and I had Assassinate and Murder Protege. Teddy had already eaten Hannah on turn two, and Vik of Blood on Turn three. Then I charge Taelor in to whack him in the face and save Vik of Ashes. First hit, my opponent cheats a red joker and Taelor misses. Second hit, she lands the hammer so hard I'm at a double positive even after that stupid Impossible to Wound bull. Then I flip a black joker. Turn four, Teddy eats Vik of Ashes. Then Taelor charges his butt again. First hit only deals minimum damage. And on the second I flip a red joker to crush that ugly ***** By the time the dust settled I somehow had more models than my oponent despite him starting with 9 and me with 8. I now am really torn with the Viks as I hate their looks but love their playstyle.
  8. One thing about the ordelies: Don't just rely on their healing. It's way too expensive to be reliable in any form. What you should is think of them as your screens. Remember that intervening models do offer cover to each other, so use those guys as meatshields. Also, The nurse can push models around and paralize them, which can help set them up for Grimwell to lobotomize. Mind you, the terrain is very important, but do not be afraid of getting stuck in. Specially because the Scion of Black Blood has abysmal defenses and Angel Eyes sucks in melee, so in an ideal scenario you should go for them first, not the wretches, as those guys can take some punches with their high stats for a minion.
  9. Okay, I can't believe no one has brought this up: Von Schill is both the Prussian Mercenary AND Terry "Hulk Hogan". He even has an upgrade called 'The shirt comes off' for when he hulks out. Another one I can think of is Anna Lovelace, being a reference to Ada Lovelace, one of the first programmers of the world.
  10. Hello folks! Good afternoon and an awesome day to all of you. I've been lurking in these forums for a while and decided it's time to step up. Here in Brazil unfortunately there's a very small tabletop games community, mostly because it's damn near impossible to get most minis to even come to us. That being said, I started Malifaux at the end of last year and it's become my favorite game mechanic wise. I even managed to get two of my friends to like it! I started playing Neverborn, specifically Lilith and her Nephilim, mostly because I had a first edition Nekima beforehand. Recently I've purchased the Hired Guns and Hired swords sets, along with some extra freikorps models to build up an outcasts force. My intention was to do some demo games for my local Games club and see if some more people show interest on it. I guess that's all for now. See ya!
