Yomster
I have a torny coming up soon and am looking to use Yan lo as a master. With him as a master I would be looking to use yin and Toshiro but they aren't out yet so I was wondering if anyone had found a good stand in for them
sassylady
I can't remember models names, but I used a Reaper model for Yin and a Bushido model for Toshiro
Grim
I always go to Okko for Asian-inspired proxy. What size base is Toshiro on? Yin: http://images.frpgames.org/products/product_64339.jpg] Toshiro (30mm): http://images.frpgames.org/products/product_52130.jpg] Toshiro (40mm): http://images.frpgames.org/products/product_52131.jpg]
Yomster
They are both on 40mm and turns out the ones you linked are on backorder which is unfortunate because those look really good
xKoBiEx
Make sure you confirm with the tourney organizer that proxies are allowed. All of those Okko models are pretty solid; it is a shame they aren't immediately available. Personally, I like that Yin variant better than anything else I've seen so far. Mehter
Our Malifaux playgroup plays Bushido once in a while, so we have a lot of the models. I ended up using the guy on the right with the two swords for Toshiro. I modded one off, painted him as a zombie, and with his banner he looks a lot like Toshiro. xKoBiEx
Thanks Mehter, I'm more interested in Toshiro than Yin. And that geisha can be used as another variant for Oiran or Belle.
Mehter
I used the two in the back for Ashigaru until they released as well.
Jewomie
How soon is your tourney? According to Miniature Market, the actual models both come out around March 15th. of course i'm not sure how certain they are, but that is what they have in their computer as a release date. =]
Yomster
It's the first weekend of may. So mid march would be good. Where are you seeing this because everywhere I've looked says late april
Wake of Godzilla
Depending on scale, when it comes out, what about this for the dead rider? http://www.darkhammerminiature.com/Gallery.html
theJudge
Depending on scale, when it comes out, what about this for the dead rider? http://www.darkhammerminiature.com/Gallery.html That is sweet!!! Very possibly an option instead of the official Dead Rider.
micahwc
Agree, awesome dead rider for Yan Lo or Kirai.
i_was_like_you
Yin and Toshiro got pushed back. Not sure until when. HtUnliving
That you find the minis is all well and good but where do you get the rules? Are they in Storm of Shadows?
Ausplosions
Yes. ---------- Post added at 04:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:41 PM ---------- And that rider is 7" tall to the guys head. Far too large for Malifaux. Maybe a statue.
Mordeqai
It's advertised as his base being 70mm (About 2.8 inches), so I think that tape is measuring in centimeters. So he's at about 2.8 inches tall I think he can fit on a 50mm with some clever basing. Easier than a Steamborg. ---------- Post added at 03:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:46 PM ---------- About 4.3 inches to the top of his flag.
