Nickienogger
Hahah very nice guess! But it is not Rusty Alyce Think of someone who is definitely smart and female in the original model. Try again! p.s. the base is from Wyrd... Morgue base inserts! Nickienogger
Seeing that no one's guessed who the miniature in the last post would proxy.. the answer is Freikorps Librarian! .... instead of 'arcane words' she just lobs corrosive or poisonous vials of experimental liquids at you! Armor +1? well... trust her to have steampunk protective undergarments!!! Today's update.... Steampunk Dorothy! from Guild of Harmony. This one took me a good 6 hours! so much detail on the mini... amazing sculptor so props to him/her! C&C welcome, thanks for looking! NinjaBreadMen
Great work throughout the whole thread: Took me a while to spot it, but better late than never ^^ Who's Dorothy representing? Big ol' gun could easily be the Specialist or Trapper, or her general pose and being such a great model she'd easily be Von Schill himself... er... herself
daemonkin
I'm gonna go with Librarian? Second guess D.

Big ol' gun could easily be the Specialist or Trapper, or her general pose and being such a great model she'd easily be Von Schill himself... er... herself Thank you! I've got a nice long summer and I have 2 more crews waiting to be painted so keep an eye out! Dorothy in my Viks crew was gona represent Hans or the Freikorps Trapper. But your absolutely right i was even thinking of using her as 'Lady Von Schill' should I feel like it! I'm gonna go with Librarian? Second guess D. Librarian is correct! Nickienogger
Back with my two latest models... The Viktorias!!! This will complete this crew for now and will move on to the next project. Will save Misaki for the new book with the ten thunders crew - see what color scheme will work then! Thank you for looking! Nickienogger
Sorry for reposting the same models.. But I just got a better wooden surface, cardboard background and warm lighting to give off a better steampunk-wildwest look to the models which should do my project better justice. Viktorias and crew Bete Noir Next up... McMourning himself! Thank you for looking
Nickienogger
today afternoon's work... long way to go for McMourning.
Viruk
Great idea for the base, now when I look at other versions of painted McMourning they seem a bit empty without that table.
WarlockFiretop
I love the table on McMourning's base! I think that both the table and McMourning should be pushed together to the centre of the base: having them overhanging the edges, when there's all that space in the middle, looks odd. It may just be the photo.
Nickienogger
Thank you for the comments guys! I searched around the interwebz and found that british company Black Cat Bases does some little dinky scenery kits and bases! @ Warlock Firetop I think the spacing does not look that awkward I hope you can see it with the new photographs below. Completed McMourning Thank you for looking! Edited July 22, 2012 by Nickienogger

daemonkin
I use Fenris Games via ebay for my resin scenic bases now. Wide selection of types - am particularly fond of Cthulhu graveyard and granite stone bases. Comes in 3 sizes 30, 40 and 50mm D.
Nickienogger
Thank you for the comments people I have seen some stuff for Fenris games at my LFGS Daemonkin, may mix it up in my next sets of models! Here's today's updates... the dead pooches. Unfinished. just base coated. Currently running out of steam on them abit to be honest... I may stop there and move on to paint the more exciting flesh construct and simulacrum Thank you for looking!
Nickienogger
New Entry.. today was the most enraging session of painting I've ever done... There was a disaster with the rogue necromancy ... I finished painting, was quite happy with it. Then sealed the paintjob with my varnish which somehow messed up and turn into thick white crap covering half the model... it was disgusting and so enraging. I am still shaking with rage as I type all of this. In my rage I did what I can to fix it. and decided to scoop out all that white gunk, leaving the paintjob severely screwed up. I repainted the bad parts to make it look like the necromancy got burned. This is how it turned out here's the not so affected side this is the non affected figure from today's session C&C welcome, thanks for looking
CrouchingMoose
Sorry to hear about that you had that white film problem, I've gotten it a couple of times and I know what its like when you finally finish a big model and then it gets ruined at the last minute like that. At least your models still came out great any ways, so I'd count it as a win. As for the white film problem, the best I can tell, it's related to how much varnish you apply and how warm the area where the model is drying is. I can now get the white film on command by applying my normal amount of varnish and leaving it out in the garage during the day to dry. However, if I bring it inside, I can't seem to get it to happen (haven't tried sticking it next to a heater though).
Lord Shaper
I've had the white issue happen to me before when sealing with a Dull or Flat coat. You can fix it. I've sprayed a gloss coat over it which then melted the thickened original coat and that helps. it wont be as bright as it originally was but it will be 100 fold better
