Metalhed
Hi guys So I am originally from South Africa, but spend most of time in Nigeria for work. I am also a co-owner in a gaming store in SA. So I discovered Malifaux and decided to bring Malifaux to the store. The game is starting to pick up, I brought in one of each box set as a test and most of them sold within two weeks. So looking forward to some more SA photos coming up in the near future. I started by painting up a Redchapel gang for the store. Also going to do a Lady J set soon. Edited May 19, 2012 by Metalhed Necessary due to Imageshack problems. Metalhed
Thanks guys. Seamus and co were fun to paint. I went for more natural colours for Seamus with spot colours on the cloth. Next up are the death marshalls.
Metalhed
Hey Wyrdsters I have been working on some bases for the Lady J boxset that I am painting up for the store. I wanted to add some wooden floor boards with some sort of dirty outdoor sand look. The problem I was facing was cutting wood to fit the circular bases. After a little pondering I remembered that I had bought some instant mould that I wanted to try, so here are the results. So I started with by buildng a master to mould from, it is a little larger than a single base. It is made from those ice-cream stick sort of things. He you can see the green stuff sitting in the instant mould next to the master. Here they are cracked out of the moulds. After cutting them to shape to fit the bases. Added the sand. Needed to add this shot - the beer is a big support when painting. A close up so you can see some of the detail. With paint and details added. I am not sure what those "Bright spots" are. They don't exist on the model, perhaps the light was catching some plastic in the grass. Let me know what you think. Hoping to get the Lady J lot done up by the end of the weekend or so. rainborg
Nice paint schemes on your crews, looking forward to seeing the rest of your crews.
Omenbringer
I would make one small suggestion, you need more light for your photos. Not having enough is obscuring all the hard work you are applying while painting. I would recommend a "flood" style light from the front (lower rather than higher). Metalhed
Good plan. Incidentally my girlfriend bought me some lamp thing with a magnifying glass option for painting. I am going to add this to my other lamp and hopefully get round to (finally) building my light box. I will only get to this in the next few weeks and retake some photos.
