E.T.A. Hoffman
Hi all, So we all know about the filith lists that surround Neverborne. I'm talking specifically about bringing Desperate Mercs, or the like, and using them to gain blood counters to grow. My concern is, how sportsmanily is this? Does anyone feel dirty for doing this? Is it really cheesy? Or is this something normal to do, something that was intended to be done by the games creaters? thanks
Ratty
The poor Desperate Mercs all they ever seem to do is get horribly murdered by their employers for there body parts.

E.T.A. Hoffman
But you wouldn't do it in a friendly game? in GT I fully expect this stuff.
Cunning
Pah, don't really rate grow lists. You're basically wasting your first turn to get it done. Against a decent fast master (Chompy especially) half your list will be gone before you've done anything at all.
tadaka
Ya i dont think of grow type lists as all that good. Very few things in the game i would.view as.true sleezeball tactics.
Sybaris
I think that bringing sacrificial lambs to the game might be fluffy for neverborn. The desperate mercs are exactly that...desperate. They may be officially getting paid to fight, but that's it. There's no contract certifying that Lilith won't plant her teeth in their neck. The player is still paying stones to get the counters anywya.
Mike3838
Indeed, if you want to pay 2ss and an AP for each blood counter then feel free! In my limited experience, players of grow lists like this tend to plan out all their moves in advance but neglect to consider that their opponent has a plan of his own. Hateful Darkblack
"Hi there. Mr. Desperate Mercenary, was it? We're looking for an employee who doesn't really run too fast, and isn't too hard to chew up and eat. I see here that you're pretty good with those pistols. How do you feel about punching other mercenaries a little to tenderize them a bit, while slavering bloodthirsty vampire-demons wait hungrily?" "I'm... hesitant." "The slavering vampire-demons in question would be the employers. They're devoted to the cause of removing your entire species from this dimension." "I'm... very hesitant." "And we'll pay for your mother's surgery." "Yeah, I guess I'm in."
Malandres
I wouldn't personally play filthy lists against everyone at the club but a few of us will see just how filthy we can work a list...

That was great, I just had to say thanks, I had a terrible day at work and that's the first thing that brought a smile to my face all day. Well done. Malandres
Oh it is an amusing post...it will make everyone smile im sure :-)
micahwc
I don't think bringing desperate mercantile for blood is filthy. Lots of masters have sacrificial units. The zombie chihuahua is one. How many nick players get accused of filth when they reanimate a canine remains into a punk zombie? Or violating a wounded witchling for a fresh one? Malandres
I think nico is that bolster unread...but as he's a book 1 master luckily he gets overlooked usually just like my main Ramos...
Malandres
BBut you're right i think sacrificing them can be a waste for tokens...
Fetid Strumpet
At this point Lilith is very solid, but I don't think really anything she can do would be put into the same category as the former FILTH lists were. Bust Lilith out with pride, use every filthy trick you can think of, and you can always say, "At least I'm not playing Pandora, the Dreamer, or Collodi." Viva Lilith! Malandres
Hah...that is filth although hamelin is staking a good claim in filth too....if only the hamelin mini was nice...
Sybaris
The avatar Hamelin promises to be great. It's Malifaux's poster boy after all . But i agree the other miniatures of him doesn't interest me at all. As for Lilith, i don't think she's in the same league as Dreamer, Pandora and Hamelin atm...but maybe i am wrong. Sybaris
That's likely, but the website link on wyrd's main page now shows the piper (which is, honestly, visually more interesting)
