well thats certainly drawing a long bow there. i dont call kirai "freeeduugle-clickclick-barrfn" that would just be ridiculous. but i say it as "ki-rah". when i say my faction is ressers and my master is "ki-rah" then you will know exactly what i mean. you might try to politely correct me and say its pronounced "kee-rah-ee", and ill say... yeah i know, but i think it sounds better my way
and at the end of the day if your correcting my pronunciation then you knew exactly what i was referring to, thus the name has served its explicit purpose imo. you say potato... a rose by any other name... etc
thats just my strange take on language in general tho, if you actually use a game to expand your understanding of different languages and ultimately cultures, then thats awesome anyway in its own right but if i instead choose to bastardise the word to fit my own language then its not necessarily out of ignorance, rather convenience in this case! i guess people living in different areas and exposed to different languages develop 'better' ways of making certain sounds or something? you can see this in the way different cultures developed different musical scales...
