divrg
Anyone have a link to this or can tell me what she does? The model is cool so i am thinking of buying it.
winter
All the details are either in the Rising Powers book or on the card with the miniature. Briefly, she has some nice spells; another Obey to cast and some crowd control type spells. She also has a difficult to get off heal for all Family models near by. divrg
And her shooty abilities? Close combat?
Wodschow
She has a short ranged shotgun that does blasts, but the damage output is lower than for the rest of the Ortegas. Like Perdita she has Gunfighter. Main thing about her is the Obey and that she can give a non-unique living model the Family trait.
Aarkon
I like her for the extra Obey, I don't count on her for the Heal but it is nice to have as it is the first time I have been able to get a heal into my Ortegas
nilus
Her obey is nice and her heal is nice as well. But her big draw is Shotgun Wedding, which gives any non-unique living model family and companion(family) for the duration of the battle. Gremlin Swarm
Her big honkin' shotgun is also really entertaining--especially with the bit that she gets pushed back when she uses it. Come to think of it, she might even be able to propel herself out of melee with it!

Yeh never thought of that, suck your apponent in then, companion. shoot! move 4 back out of melee then pepper the attacker sweet.
Adran
Yes, she can gunfighter he way out of combat with most people. Very annoying when you were relying on being in combat with her to reduce the damage the companion chain can do to Von Schill before he activates on the last turn to get you the winning VP. Shotgun wedding, Austringers, and an 80 point Brawl can make for a very long first activation...
nilus
Shotgun wedding, Austringers, and an 80 point Brawl can make for a very long first activation... Wow I have never heard of anyone who has played an 80 stone game. That must take forever.
Talishko
Yh even thinking about brawls splitting my head, but pushing it up to 80SS! On topic, thanks for the quick ideas, I too was hesitating on buying Abuela (just for the fun factor of my demo crew) but now I will def pick her up. Aarkon
Tried an 80ss game, never finished it I think we got through turn two but it was getting way to late to continue, but we just got some Malifaux orders in and wanted to play everything we could lol. Absolution Black
80ss!! I'm guessing you'd need a full day at least, or a weekend of gaming to fully get the experience. Kinda like a 10,000pt slog of Warhammer!
Adran
We played 6 turns in about 3 hours. (our 35 point scraps take about 2 hours) By turn two we were losing models, and the relatively small hand size to spread over so many models means that very few can work at their best which speeds it up a lot more than you would expect. The fact that I ended turn 6 not having an activation due to nothing surviving that long also helped the speed. Still managed a 7-7 draw in VPs despite only having killed about 3 guild models. It was a lot of fun, ceratinly worth doing every now and then.
Aarkon
Having a day to do it I'd love to do it again. It was fun to put everything I had at the time on the table (I have WAY more then 80ss worth of stuff now though lol)
Sobek
So what do most people use Shotgun Wedding on? Austrigers? Death Marshalls?
nilus
So what do most people use Shotgun Wedding on? Austrigers? Death Marshalls? Austiger seems like a popular choice. His long range ability works well when you pair him up with Nino. I like to marry the Executioner in. Because its thematically funny and because its helps his slowness. You can companion activity with him, obey him a few time and then have him activate in melee.
Aarkon
So what do most people use Shotgun Wedding on? Austrigers? Death Marshalls? My three choices most of the time seem to the Austringer, the Executioner and I have tried the Convict Gunslinger as well.
